Text of spam

How can I stop taken Michaels Kors of SMS than me? They have apparently several different numbers. Continue to block numbers, I get more text messages under different numbers. They's even text me 'Hi' and I got one with 'c' in the body of the message. I separated my contact unknown text text that is less distracting, but I need to stop these text altogether! Help!

A start would be to never respond at all to any spam message. This shows them that they have a connection online while no response means that it's not alive.

It is also possible that you have installed adware.

  • Spam SMS.

I received SMS spam on once or twice a week for the past few weeks. Most of the text is gibberish - various numbers, symbols, etc.-, but the subject line is always something similar to "I want a new friend of f #ck." (the sign # is in the message; I use it to replace a letter, the message is received like that.)

The phone # texts came to (supposedly) is always a 6-digit phone #, preceded by a 1 and a 3-digit code; I guess this is supposed to be an area code is a total of 11 digits.

Has anyone who has received these? Is it possible to block? I looked in preferences, but it seems the only way to block a # is text to choose from your list of contacts. I don't want to add these spam #s to my contacts, so I can't find a way to block them.

    Suggestions?

    Thank you.

You can block the number of the Messages app. When you get a message from spammer, open the conversation. Click details in the upper right. Press the "i" in a blue circle to the right. Down at the bottom of the screen, you will see 'block this caller '. Once the number is blocked, you can delete the message.

The two largest carriers in the United States, the version and the AT & T will let you forward a text of 'SPAM' (7726). They will take all the necessary measures.

  • My filter is empty!

I recently migrated to TB 24.4.0 I'm under Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

Here are the details of the system:

    User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Safari/537.36 Chrome/33.0.1750.154

Everything (including the filters to sort my emails properly) worked very well.

Some messages that should have been filtered to a specific folder seems to have disappeared. I've never seen in any of my files. I know that the mail because I use Popfile (to treat mail for spam and other filtering tagging). See http://getpopfile.org.

I see the message in the history of popfile.

'Activate the filters log' is checked. I 'Allow customers antivirus quarantine of incoming messages' off.

The journal of the filters to work. Recently I watched the news (in the last day or almost) saw that it has been populated. I used the "clear log" button to get a new start, and the newspaper has been empty since.

I * really * need to get the newspaper back so I can see what's happened to the message. I disabled all my filtering rules which actually delete messages and I have not seen all messages 'disappeared' since.

But... I have not received a message from this correspondent special since.

I tried closing and re-opening Thunderbird several times while checking and unchecking "enable history filter" and even rebooted, but the journal is always empty.

I even checked the permissions for the file, but everything looks OK.

What can I do to retrieve the log of the filters?

Ah... But I have many other filters that are active and and a lot of e-mail that could be mapped.

However, given that the last I wrote, the log file made a miraculous reappearance. I don't know why the newspaper gone, or why he reappeared.

Now that he's back, I go into account that would not have been a useful... Here is an excerpt:

  • My address book has been hacked and my contacts receive e-mail messages. How can I stop this?

Copied spam my address book so that I wasn't using email

I use Windows XP and Outlook Express 6.  Recently, while I was on the Net, but not by e-mail, spam has been received and sent himself to a lot of people in my address book under my own name and e-mail address.  He led "this kit changed my life", and it seems to research at various forums of discussion it has been around for several months, always with various English misspelled and poorly punctuated texts with without capital letters and a hyperlink to sites with names of different people.  I changed my e-mail address and password in a day, but my contacts has often received several versions of spam in the coming days.  My computer has been professionally checked and has no infection, and I thought that I was sufficiently protected by AVG Internet Security 2012 and my ISP (BT).  I hope that my new email address is more difficult to discover by chance, but is it possible that I can avoid this kind of thing does not happen?  For the moment, I completely emptied my address book and print on screenprints, which is a nuisance, but at least there is nothing to hack.  It is obvious that the text was spam when I opened then Outlook Express, because there were several notices referring to obsolete addresses NDR spam itself, I have the above would be deleted immediately if I had known, he had come, because it was so obvious, being on a scheme to get rich quickly and terrible English and sender's name was a pretty ridiculous (which I forgot in my haste of) delete spam).

  • "Change the color of the text Message" == "mark as spam"?

The last couple months, I have been see a large number of cases where the probable-spam is moved to my Inbox junk, but not actually marked as junk.  In the spam box and actually being marked as junk e-mail are different: regardless if they are in the folder mail junk or not, if they are not actually marked as junk mail, they do not have the interactive icon, mark as spam option switches to mark-as-no-junk and especially, they do not take into account the logic filtering of mail spam Bayesian.

I can't find the thread here that recommends this, but they suggested that (the photo is quite explicit):

It is not clear if it makes a real difference.  I still have a lot of regular mail, black-text, in my spam box.

So, first of all, any of you have ideas regarding why it into the spam box, but not actually be reported as spam?

Secondly, regarding 'set the text color...' to Brown.  One of know you if it is really identical to really mark them as spam?  By one description, I have rather in doubt.  Nevertheless, I see not all Brown text messages and are not as truly marked as spam, so maybe that's the same thing?

(Just to clarify, there has been more than a couple 'month' that bother happened in my junk e-mail folder without really be marked as spam.)  Probably more like 6 months.  But anyway...)

  • New type of spam - giant JPEG image with virtually no actual text.

It seems to be a new type of spam that I receive. It is composed of a few words of the text itself, but the majority of it is a large JPEG image that contains text and images. It's almost like if spammers have taken a screenshot of its Web site and sent the image.

Is it possible to set up a junk e-mail for this filter?

They have two reasons to do so. We have to eliminate the text spam filters recognize part of the image. The filters will have to use optical character recognition to catch him. Much too slow and cumbersome. The other is that whenever your email downloads an image, that shows the sending server not only that the image was recovered, but IP address and email address he went to. They know then it is a direct e-mail address and will increase the amount of spam you get.

In Outlook, you can prevent the download of the images until you click on a button in an email to good he (low field).

I don't know if the Mail has a similar option. If so, turn it on.

    Error message for Virgin Gmail

"Unable to load the rich text editor.

    What is the solution?

    You can see https://support.mozilla.com/questions/896294
and look at this thread, the only real connection so far is it is very recent and it involves blank e-mail.

Those who are in this thread say blank incoming emails doesn't work except if they Disable Adblock Plus from the icon of ADP.

In fact, the rich text editor would be in a separate file, there is most likely a connection to ADP because some of these files may be blocked. I used to have a lot of problem in this forum on the web and the tools were blocked (didn't really need them) just because I block a lot of things here: like animals to fur in nurse uniforms, a trash can (toolkit) and that blue area at the bottom of this page that interferes with scrolling and the use of the key 'end '.

Something seems to be wrong with your profile, clicking on it does not bring it upwards.

  • Pirate phone? Sending texts via my #, but not for me

Mail from Apple (OS x and iOS Tel & iPad2)

I get email - perhaps from the Netherlands (.nl) or Russia (.ru). As soon as I create a filter in the mail which junks these files, the information changes. Given that the content is strange (it looks like a chart that has been caught), I find this disturbing. Any suggestions on how to stop them? I have written filters targeting *.nl and * .ru, but they did the job. Addresses change regularly.

This is the problem with spammers: they usually only use the e-mail address of a day and use a different tomorrow. As far as I know, unfortunately, there is no way to completely stop unless you could actually find the name and address of the individual.

  • virus/spam pop-up windows in the words of 'header and body' of the email

Yesterday, when I was using firefox 15 to retrieve my emails, I found the header words & some words in the email body (such as subject, date and a few words in the body of the text) have been highlighted. As I moved the cursor to these words hi - lite, pop ups of spam/virus appeared - as you do $xxx.00 monthly, a young girl with tantalizing message face, etc..

At first, I thought that my 15 firefox has been altered. I've upgraded to firefox 17, and the same thing happens again.

I then had a live chat with a support technique earthlink.net last night, thinking that it was a problem (see below) earthlink. He saw the pop ups on the screen also and suggested I used IE to access my emails, which did not have these pop-ups "surprised." Thus, he concluded that the problem is with the firefox browser.

Since Mozilla/firefox have no live chat. I need to send you this mail. My question is: is my browser firefox very corrupted I need to stop using it, and remove everything related to mozilla/firefox in the c drive?

Thank you very much in advance

    (Email removed by mod)

Hi george it looks like a problem maybe caused by adware/malware on your pc. Please go to firefox > addons > extensions & remove any suspect entries (toolbars, the things that you have not installed intentionally, I don't know what purpose they serve, etc.). also, go to the windows control panel / programs and remove all toolbars or potentially unwanted software from here and do a full scan of your system with the security software you have in place or another tool like the free version of malwarebytes.

  • How can I disable the automatic search when text is accidentally pasted on the main window (not the address bar)?

This happens, for example, by filling out a form on a web page. I intend to copy/paste the text in a form input box, but I accidentally stick outside of the box. This causes Firefox search spam based on my text.

    Can it be disabled?

This is not the default behavior of Firefox as far as I KNOW.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

    • Do not click on the reset button on the start safe mode window or make changes.

You can also try to rename or delete the file prefs.js and possible prefs - numbered # .js and a user.js file possible to reset all default prefs or check for associated user defined prefs on the topic: config page.
