  • Text by jumping on the edges of the text frame

    Hello

I need to work on a pressing deadline and for some reason when I type text in a text block, jump around the page in the block of text and is not in the domain of the main work? If I did drag the text block in the working paper the text disappears?

  • In the design of the text alignment jumps around, even when the value "align top".

    Hi all

I worked in a pamphlet that someone else created, and I have a problem with the text boxes. No matter what I set the alignment (align the top, in this case), it jumps around whenever I move the text box. For example, I try to move the box to the top, and the text inside it moves down. I move the box to the top, "centered" the text becomes. In fact, when he arrives at the margin, he's going above it all. The text inside the box is located just to the right of the margin, even though the box itself moves upward. The principal is also greater than it should be. When I take the text box on the page completely and put it next to the document, the leader returns to normal and it is aligned to the top.

    Hello

Some Thunderbird problems can be solved by make a clean reinstall. This means that you remove the Program Files of Thunderbird then reinstall Thunderbird. Please follow these steps:

    1. Download the latest version of Thunderbird from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/ and save the file to install it on your computer.
    2. Once the download is complete, close all windows in Thunderbird (click on Exit/Quit the menu button on the right).
      • Windows:

        • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird\
        • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Thunderbird\
      • Mac: Remove Thunderbird in the Applications folder.
      • Linux: If you installed Thunderbird with the distribution-based package manager, you must use the same way to uninstall: see Install Thunderbird on Linux. If you have downloaded and installed the binary package of the Thunderbird Download Page, simply remove the thunderbird folder in your home directory.

When you type text, cursor jumps suddenly to a point in the text already entered.  Use Ctrl Z to recover.  How to stop this?

I use Windows 7 on a Dell Inspiron.

I recently did a "clean boot" who has cured a problem of high CPU usage, but left me this cursor jumping problem.  I have to look at the screen as I type to be aware of these breaks that often occur at random.

    Hello Malcolm,

Yours is a laptop? If so, you're probably brushing the touchpad with your Palm or fingers. The easiest way around this problem is with an external mouse with touchpad disabled. To disable the touchpad go to control panel, Manager of devices and look under the mouse or HID for her. Then, right-click on it and select Disable (not uninstall - it will reinstall itself only if you do).

You can also connect an external mouse and select the option for Notification of Touchpad to disable the touchpad when an external mouse is present. This setting can be found in the mouse properties dialog.

Let me know if this solves the problem for you.

    Kind regards

  • Text jumping around in the text box. Unrelated to the text wrapping.

We are experiencing a problem with a part of the text jumping around in the text block, as we make changes to the text. It is not related to the text wrapping.

We had not seen this problem until we have converted from CS4 to CS5.5.

    The background:

We use a system of generation of page owners. This operation generates IDML, which we will open in InDesign. We then pull this information in our models of CS5. This system has always worked well in the past. Now, however, we have this weird problem. The only thing that has changed is the version of InDesign.

    What's happening:

In some cases edit us a Word, change the punctuation signs, move something in a table or even simply by changing the color of a letter. When it is triggered, the text of the body of the text block jumps around in the area (often above title information). Normally the movement is on the rise, but makes greater very delicate changes as the lines are on the move in the text block.

What we are doing when this happens:

Usually, if we find a safe place in the text to type a return we do that, delete this return. This action solves the problem, but only temporarily. If the file is opened and closed, it goes back to jump.

Why is this a big problem for us:

We are working on catalogs, some with more than 400 pages. There are a large number of items. Much of the time that we need to make global changes with GREP and find/replace replace. This often causes situations where the text jump and you don't notice. There are even times when we are bypassing our files (right before moving on to the printer). This makes us very nervous.

Does anyone have knowledge that may be able to help?

    Thank you!

I just had exactly the same problem. I experimented with Options of text block and found a possible sollution: under 'Baseline Options' tick 'Use Custom base Grid' (see attached capture screen). In my case the text stopped jumping and I hope it helps someone out there also.

  • Web page jump down when I press the arrow down. It is NOT linked caret

NOTE: My problem is NOT Caret navigation related. Sorry for the redundancy, while hoping that I don't get a response from the form based on the first line of my post.

Problem is the following. When I press down, a FEW pages just go right to the bottom. Some do not. This page I am on now does not work, but half of the pages that I opened. It seems really inconsistent. Facebook always does. TV.com does from time to time. Many other pages are part or all of the time.

I tried with the two navigation with the keyboard and turn off. When activated it does on every page. When it is off it does for some pages. I want to do is not to ALL pages. I tried to disable via f7, and then I tried with subject: config. Nothing has changed.

I uninstalled Firefox and downloaded the latest version, which, like 10 minutes ago was 26.0. Us get setup to a 3rd party site because you refuse to accommodate redistributable on your page for some reason any. but I digress. Absolutely no change. Uninstalled again, and restored my only current. Same thing

I have 4 different profiles in Firefox that I use different ones for different things and have different configurations for each mod. The problem is across all 4 profiles.

Then, I made a completely new profile (do it all the time) and tried again. no history, default settings, no addons. No change

Once more, keyboard navigation didn't fix it. Also, I don't want to use the "always use the cursor to navigate pages" when it scrolls only the page with the text. As soon as you get on a segment without text, it jumps this area until the next part of the text.

Here are a few examples. None of these links are adults
http://www.tv.com/ - scroll properly. But if I go to a subpage it scrolls is no longer right. Example:
http://www.tv.com/shows/house/son-of-coma-guy-862303/ - DO NOT make DEFILER CORRECTLY.
http://www.facebook.com - NEVER SCROLLS CORRECTLY. NEVER.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dinosaur - always scroll correctly

    Screw it, going to chrome.

  • NB200 - cursor jumps around the screen while typing

    Hello

When I type in MS Word or OpenOffice or any other text box on a Web site for example flushing prompt that identifies where the next word/character must be placed around the screen jumps.

So when I type a line of text I then start another line below and then without reason, that the text cursor jumps to the top line. This inserts text in the wrong place, which is incredibly annoying!

Any help or ideas greatly appreciated!

  • Text in the letter

I am filling the letter B with text, but does not know how to make the text to jump over the holes in the letter.

    Here's what I did:

    • Typed the letter B
    • Created the outline of text
    • Published the compound path in order to be able to use the area type tool
    • Text tool box for placing text in the letter

The problem is that the text does not go around the two 'holes' in the middle of the letter.

Anyone know how I can get the text is placed around the holes?

  • Text moves to the next image when the space is still ongoing

    Hello

I came across a situation of confusion while helping my colleague help out a folder that she worked on today. We have found a non-ideal workaround (essentially, reconstruction of the file), but I wanted to know if there was something we have neglected which would have allowed a faster, better the difficulty. In short, the problem was that the text would jump to the next section while he was still in the current space - when the image has been resized slightly, or when an image with jump object wrapping applied was added. (See attached image).

    problemfile.jpg

The text is composed of numbers, bullets, and then dashes, each with their own style. It seemed that the culprits were the styles of numbers and dashes (and the body text style on which they were based). I assumed the problem was Options of sequence, that has been enabled for these styles when it usually isn't. However, disable the keep Options in styles does not solve the problem. Even select all text directly and disabling of keep Options as it did not work. I have also excluded from these things, that everything looked normal:

    -Hidden characters

    -Before and after paragraph spacing

    -Align to the baseline

    -Jump training

    -Text block options

I opened another, running the InDesign file that uses the same styles to use as a basis for comparison; When I copy / pasted a part of the text of the problem file into the right file, erratic jumps framework had disappeared. Similarly, when I copied the reference text in the file problem, she presented the same problem behavior. So there must be something in the style or preference within the document.

After comparing the styles between the files, however, the only difference between them I could see was keep Options. And (as above) disabling of keep in styles or with all the selected text Options does not solve the problem. (It helped a little with dashes - still jump text, but less lines progressed than before.) Recording, close and then reopen the case did nothing. Later, as I was messing around after the fact just to see if I could find the problem, I completely deleted the relevant styles of the problem file and replaced by their counterparts in the file reference. Problem disappeared. So I finally find a solution preferable to a total rebuild, but the question remains: what else could be different between the two documents so that this error occurs? Is there any other thing in addition to what I have already mentioned? Or is it just something buggy file, styles or apply these styles to the text? Any idea would be appreciated, I would like to know for the future, in case we run into similar problems again.

    Thank you!

  • Text moving during the overthrow of mouse etc.

Although there seems to be no reason, i.e. changes in font, images in a different location, etc., the text in the relaxation area move up and down slightly between States, which is normal for the overthrow. Any ideas why this happens?

Thank you, Zak. I looked again and although the leader was set to 140% in each State, the text has jumped around. I put 100% in each State, and they remain in place. Hmm, let leading alone for the triggers?

Now the next problem is that the color of the text does not change during rollover and mouse down as it should.
