Text-to-speech works through headphones

I have an iPhone running iOS 9.3.2 and text-to-speech 6 only works if a headphone is plugged. I can hear it well just using headphones, but it does not come out of the speaker, so those who are disconnected. Any ideas? I rebooted, reset and finally restored.

    Hi Ken

If I understand correctly, Text To Speech working on the Notes slide. So if you want your caption text to use, you'll have a few copy and paste to make. If you get the caption text in the notes box, you can then convert that.

  • The word text to speech recognition works not

    Hello

I installed a program called natural reader, which reads the text using different voices, so that you can hear what is on the page rather than just read it. I just bought the program and I can't get the voice to work. I contacted the company and they told me to go to the Control Panel/Speech Recognition and fix it on my computer because it is a computer problem.

So when I click on speech recognition, Text to Speech (I have Windows 8 is told by the way) - and I click on the button "Preview Voice", he does not play the text at all as it is supposed to do. If I click on the audio button, speech/headset is checked. But I see there are two points lower than who say THAT NVIDIA and both say they are "not connected." And when I click on the Advanced button, "use preferred audio output device" checked. And "DT speakers/headphones high definition" is the only thing available.

As I said, I don't know much at all about computers, but I'll add this part, just in case it might have something to do with it. I noticed that this red warning icon appears next to my videos and things like that in my files. Its something that was not there before. When I look in my windows applications he says only he X Box. I also noticed that when I open all my apps to show, little red X Box icon has one of my videos here instead of the app icon is red, which is weird, I think that? Sure on that note. In any case, I installed the windows classic interface, so I can't watch all softs tiles all the time on my desktop with windows 8 because I find boring. So I don't really know much about the apps anyway. But it's just that I did a complete system restore on my computer recently and that was not there before, at least, it was not associated with my videos. So I was wondering if this has nothing to do with the thing of the voice does not work in speech recognition? As I maybe the wrong thing associated with sound or something? I also noticed on my desk there is an icon called "Connected Music Powered by Universal Music Group" and when I clicked it, nothing happened.

    Can anyone help please?

    Thanks, Claudia

    Hi Claudia,.

It seems that the settings are correct in the text to speech Audio settings.  I understand that the speech/headset is checked (default device).  You can try to speakers as default device (green check mark on the speaker) and check if you are able to hear the text when you click voice overview through the PC speakers.

    See the article:
    Accessibility in Windows 8
    http://www.Microsoft.com/enable/products/Windows8/default.aspx

In addition, the red outline that you see when you click on applications, video files seems to be the Narrator running in background.

Turn off narrator and check the issue:
    Office, press Windows + U .
    Click Spie Narrator.
    Click Exit Narrator.

  • Text-to-speech no longer works correctly

I just bought a new iphone 5 s.  Text to compose text messages from dictation speech worked perfectly out of the box. Six days later, however, he cannot deal with my voice.  It crashes just with arrow of rotation in the text box after you finish talking, and press 'done '.  Has anyone experience this problem?

Figured it out, I got off Siri.  Thanks anyway!

  • CP9: Microsoft "Text to Speech" - David only works

    Hello

Poor David works too hard - no Microsoft colleagues contribute to it.

It has to stop - whenever I have asked Hazel, Zira, Helena, Selena to help, they do nothing... it was David who must intervene and take charge.

Other officers of speech work very hard.

    For the people of techno:

Whenever I chose another agent of microsoft - voice of David is registered.

Slide notes - TTS - select agent - + - add text etc.

    Non-Microsoft officials record ok.

    I use Windows 8.1.

    Concerning

    Donal.

    Donal salvation,

Thanks for reporting your problem. We had the chance to look into your question.

The voice that you mentioned is the default voice Windows 8.1. With the target operating system (win 8), you can select a voice as the system default and even TTS voice translated into Captivate9.  To change the voice by default, you can follow these steps-

    1) go to control panel.

    (2) open the speech recognition dialog box.

    3) click the text-to-speech option and the speech properties dialog box should open.

    (4) to select the default voice change and the same is for TTS in Captivate9.

For more flexibility and dynamic use of the voice in your project, you can always go ahead and download the voices of Captivate_9 by clicking on the download link available in the management of the speech in captivate9 dialog box.

    Hope this helps you.

    Thank you

  • System only through headphones - no music sounds. BUT... the music only through USB speakers. No system sounds. What is happening with this?

I listened to the music on my computer through headphones regular plugged into the audio jack of 3.5 mm.  I could hear the computer through headphones - music, movies, YouTube, system sounds - everything.

Then, I plugged my Microsoft Digital Sound System 80 speakers via the USB interface.  Windows XP found the speakers, loaded the right driver, gave me the message "your device is ready to use" and things started to play music that was running on the computer.  Sounds incredible.

But now, I have a weird problem.  I can hear only the sounds system through headphones (beeps and dings that play during system events), but I can't hear the sound system on the USB speakers. AND... I can't hear the music/videos/YouTube, etc. on the speakers USB-interface, but I can't hear the sound system through the USB speakers.

When I go to the audio tab of the sounds applet in the control panel and change the device for audio playback by default "SoundMAX HD Audio" to "Microsoft Digital Sound System", then I hear everything - system and all - sounds on USB speakers.  But then I hear anything through the headphones.

I want to be able to Exchange music back to making the USB speakers.  How this is done?

Yes, they are older speakers.  But they work a lot.  And the digital sound via the USB interface is excellent.

    Hi BitSpanker,

The only option is to change the audio device by default for the device that you want to hear the audio.

    (a) click Start, click Control Panel, and then click sounds, speech, and Audio devices.

    (b) click on sounds and Audio devices, and then click the Audio tab.

    (c) in the sound playback section, under default device, make sure the audio device is the correct default audio device.

    (d) If this isn't the correct default audio device, click the drop-down list next to the device name, click the audio device you want, and then click OK.

Change the audio device may require that restart you your computer.

  • How can I create a text-to-speech .wav file?

I would like to create wave files using the text-to-speech feature in Windows or by using another method.  Is it possible to do this on Windows?  If this isn't the case, anyone know if there is a freeware/shareware that would work?

I realize a logical solution is to record the voice - but I'm not looking for this option.
    Thanks to all the advice...

Years ago some of my SB software had a lab and 1 option audio program that was in there was the option "Record what you hear" that allowed me to save all who played through my sound card on my speakers no matter what the source. I am sure that there must be still of programs with options like that out there, try to go on your favorite leading software download site and search for such a program.

  • Can I just install Microsoft text-to-speech voices?

I don't really need full language packs, I really care about is having the text-to-speech voices.  Is it possible to install just the voice of text-to-speech for different languages, or that is available in the language packs?

I installed two language packs successfully, Chinese and Korean, but since then, any other language module, I tried (Japanese, Spanish) fails to install.  Troubleshooting windows update tool did not work.  Clean boot has failed.  Delete the folder under SoftwareDistribution\downloads that contains the .cab has failed.  I'm not going to reinstall the operating system.  It's still a fairly recent installation (Windows 7 Pro upgrade).

Is there a limit to how many language packs, that I have installed in Windows 8 Pro?

    Thank you.

    -John

After getting the same error on 2 other machines of Windows 8, I tried upgrading to Windows 8. 1. I had once through a few problems doing this, install several language packs finally worked.  so my conclusion is that several language modules are broken for Windows 8 (more a number of updates), but that the problem has been resolved in windows 8.1.

(My first attempt to upgrade to windows hung 8.1.  After trying to clean boot and the Assistant to update and still not, I found the page I recommend stop transfer of update services and background, delete the contents of the Windows\SoftwareDistribution direcdtory, restart the stopped services, then try the update again.  After that I could start the update again and successfully complete.)

  • Is it possible to add the text to speech (TTS) for slidelets individual or other objects 'pop-up '?

    Hi all

This question is somewhat related to this issue: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/525525?tstart=0

So now, I have a slide with several slidelets "pop-up". Finally I intend to add human speech at each of these slidelets (under the tab Audio caption text), but at the moment (for demonstration purposes), I would like to use the text-to-speech (TTS).

The only type of TTS option that seems to be allowed is at the level of the slide, but not inside a text caption... This seems odd.

Speaking of weird, speech management feature and Audio seem all too weird or very limited features. The management of the speech seems to only read the text inserted by entering the slide. No other options are available.

I know that I could save the speech as individual wave files and insert them through the Audio tab, but... It then, I thought that it would be an easier way to use the TTS in Captivate 4.

    Can I buy a clue?

    Thank you!

    Hi Shawn

TTS works at the level of the slide. Best bet is to insert a blank slide. Add notes. Convert to speech. Then, find and rename the file to preserve you. Rinse and repeat as needed until all TTS was created. Now, they should be in the library where you can freely assign them to everything that you need.

  • Text-to-speech software

What third-party software speech synthesis for Windows (beside NeoSpeech and Microsoft Anna) is compatible with Captivate 9?

    By this article:

Text to speech in Captivate 8 | e Learning, Chief

    "SAPI 5"compatible text-to-speech should work."

I tried a few accounts of the trial with various suppliers a few months ago and could not get additional voices to poster in my CP9 list, at all, nothing... but I wasn't CereProc (by article)... so there is always this possibility.

  • Calendar text-to-speech to the video?

I write a tutorial for employees on fixed support speech synthesis in Adobe Captivate 8 and cpvc file. Ideally, I would provide my own voice with a microphone instructions as I work on video capture. However, since we do it this way I'll import the external text to speech in the cpvc timeline.

I would like to ask the pros that I am about to write makes sense.

I will propose that before the captivate user made video, they write on the copy of the tutorial. Once the final copy is complete they should measure the amount of time that the copy must be completed prior to each section of the video. In this way they can match the video split with the audio file imported into this divide. In doing so, they will be not video sharing stretch too long to correspond to the audio file or leave the silence on video sharing. Is that what you would do?

    Thanks for your help.

    2016-06-01_7-59-45.png

For a CPVC file, I'll start indeed write the script. During the recording of the video, I'll 'talk' the script in a normal pace to be able to perform the required actions that will be convenient for the final audio clip to insert later. You can also, if wanted, capture video in different stages, perhaps because later you will have to insert static objects like still images for titles. With this approach, less change should be done when you insert the sound final (clips). I have never generate by TTS but save them with hearing and a good microphone.

  • Text to speech: is it legal to use the output into something else that "for personal use?

I'm looking for some legal specific information about the licenses on the function 'Generate the word' hearing.

    Screen Shot 2016-05-06 at 3.05.31 PM.png

I found some info here: generate speeches | Adobe Audition but I'm not quite clear on what can or cannot be done. It States, in part:

"Your operating system has probably some voices already installed for you, which are usually for personal use only and is not allowed for use in commercial projects... »

    My question is 2 times:

    1. when he says "generally" is it legal (I suppose that Apple or shade) that can expand on this statement?

    2. by 'commercial' which covers the distribution (i.e., creating an MP3 of the voice of Samantha and sell) as well as the use in everything will be for sale or public consumption?  There is another line in the quoted doc which suggests to use to "interesting transitions and narration, or to be used in the design of the game."

The specific use case with which I am afraid would use a voice generated on a piece of hardware, which, at the start, would be to say 'Hello!' via an mp3 of the voice - it is not a product of speech synthesis.

    Thank you for your time!

When I was developing this feature (thanks to try), I found this question online: audio - are copyrighted by the text to speech voice Apple? - ask different

Which lead me to go to the license agreements of real software for OS X (Apple - legal - software). You'll probably want to go yourself, choose your version and the search for "voice". You will see a similar snippet of the thread above.  Since you're screenshot is on OS X and the voice you use is provided by the operating system, I think it would be the authority in this situation.  Hearing is simply to expose functionality in a practical way.

If you register a third-party voice (I think that we have links to some sellers on our help page), it should work in hearing. I know that I've tested several.  For this particular voice, you'll want to make sure you get a license for what is your destination.
