text to XML import

Hello

I have a problem of formatting of two tags with two styles on the same line, when you import an xml file.

Eventually the two tags with the style of the last tag, I use the function 'tags to styles' and it works all set up but when you import the xml file is automatically replaced by the style of the first tag to the tag of the second style.

Any suggestions what to do, I had to think about the creation of two columns but hope I can find an easier way to solve this problem.

BR

Erik

Use a paragraph paragraph style. Use (and card) a character style to the second element on the same line. This assumes that you have two different items on the same line and I want to style them differently.

  • Compare PDF fields XML imported in a loop

    Hello

    At first, I am a newbie in Acrobat and Javascript.

    I create a PDF with Acrobat Pro form, my next idea is to fill out the PDF with the related data via an XML Import.

    Real, I can import the xml file and fill the fields PDF hard-coded, it already works via Javascript.

    My real problem is, I want to fill the PDF with the XML data via a loop for, because we want to use this script in several PDF forms and not each form has the same number of fields.

    Here my script to work:

    var xmldoc = util.readFileIntoStream ();

    xmlString var = util.stringFromStream ();

    var myXML = XMLData.parse (xmlstring, false);

    var oNode = XMLData.applyXPath(myXML,"//Customer");

    this.getField("CustomerName").value = oNode.Customer.CustomerName.value;

    this.getField("CustomerStreet").value = oNode.Customer.CustomerStreet.value;

    this.getField("CustomerPlace").value = oNode.Customer.CustomerPlace.value;

    this.getField("CustomerSiteName").value = oNode.Customer.CustomerSiteName.value;

    this.getField("CustomerSiteStreet").value = oNode.Customer.CustomerSiteStreet.value;

    this.getField("CustomerSitePlace").value = oNode.Customer.CustomerSitePlace.value;

    Here my problem

    for (var i = 0; i < oNode.length; i ++) {}

    If (this.getField (?) == oNode.Order.?) {

    this.getField (?.) [i]). value = oNode.Order. ??? [i] .value;

    }

    }

    I hope that everyone understands what I mean and can help me.

  • Text fails to import into Indesign

    Someone had problems with the export of PDF files in Indesign and a part of the text fails to import? When I discovered the original pdf text is there but looks like it was added once the original has been generated. I can select and it seems to have a text box. I can't copy or cut and paste it into Indesign. When you open the pdf in Illustrator text does not show more. Only way I could work around is to open pdf in Photoshop and save as tif. and then import them as. It is really annoying and has caused errors in the past. Any input would be appreciated!

    Thanks, it worked!

    According to the parameters of conditional text in the application definition in structapps.fm or in another application definition file, Yes. Conditional text in XML support has been added in FM 7.1.

  • XSL for XML import?

    Hello

    I am trying to create a xsl file so that reorganize the XML content.

    I found the tutorial from adobe here http://www.Adobe.com/DesignCenter/InDesign/articles/indcs2at_xsl.html

    But when I import the XML with this xsl file, I get this error.

    "'Exit' element cannot be toplevel" or something like that.

    Hmmm indeed. The XSLT, I pasted is copied directly from a working file - it works in Kernow and InDesign, in ID when manually selecting the XSL file, and when you use the option "use the XML style sheet.

    I guess it's a PEBKAC ("problem exists between keyboard and Chair").

  • Metacharacters InDesign on XML import

    Anyone know if it is possible to encode the InDesign metacharacters (returns soft, thin spaces, spaces nonbreaking, etc.) in a file XML text so they restitueront correctly when the XML file is imported in InDesign?

    For example, I have a paragraph style in InDesign that uses a soft return to set up a nested character style. I would like to encode the return in the XML so that the stylesheet works immediately upon import.

    At the moment I am insert a control ASCII standard (a tab) character in this position, and then using search - replace in InDesign to swap try it with a return. It works well, but it would be nice to not take this extra step.

    Once I have a history of InDesign with flexible returns in place, I can export and re-import without problem, until "Remapper Break, spaces and special characters" is not selected when the story is exported in XML format. This seems to indicate that it would be possible to incorporate the correct code in the XML file to start with. But everything I've tried has not worked.

    Steve

    Take a look at this thread:

    http://forums.Adobe.com/thread/444362?TSTART=0

    In which the question is specifically for the forced line break (return). You can use the same general method to enter these other code points; you just have to find their UTF-8 values. Use "&#nnnn;" (where "nnnn" is a decimal value) or "&#xhhhh;" (where "hhhh" is a hexadecimal value).

  • XSL-TEXT: how to import submodels in XSL and the use of the xdofx tags?

    Hello

    I'm working on a BI Publisher report (XML Publisher 5.6.3 in EBS) to generate labels on a label printer. The output should be in plain text, that's why I decided to use the XSL-TEXT model and create my own translation of XSL.

    In principle, it works pretty well, but there are two things that worry me a little:

    1 does anyone know how can I import other XSL files, such as templates in RTF? The problem I have is that I don't know the URI or the auxiliary model. For the moment, I store other XSL files in the OA_MEDIA folder, but that's not really nice. In PCR, you can consult submodels with some commands xdofx... This brings me to my second question:

    2. in RTF templates, you can use the XML tags specific Oracle, including the < xdofx: % > and tags < xdoxslt: % >. Does anyone know if and how I can use them in the XSL templates?

    Any ideas are appreciated!

    Kind regards
    David.

    Howdy,

    We import RTF submodels in our XSL - FO stylesheets via a syntax such as:

    I'm lazy, so I just comment on one and comment to the other when I'm either stable on my desk or when I'm about to move it to the EBS.

    OK, but to your question, I think the only way to do that (I think) you want is to convert your submodels of XSL - FO style sheets and then download them on EBS. Except that, or a profile option/setting I'm unaware of I don't know how EBS would know where your submodels.

    For the syntax of the substring in FO stylesheets I used:

    Hope that something in the help above.

  • Error in getting the brother following non-text for XML without CR at the end of tag

    Hello all,.

    I have a strange error of parsing XML files with labview. I have an XML file in a single line, without CR at the end of each tag. A normal browser or analysis tool XML is able to read, but not with Labview.

    The error I have is with "Get Next non-text Sibling.vi", which in their own country fails to read the Type property (error-2630, property node (arg 1) in NI_XML.lvlib:Get next non-text Sibling.vi-> XML Get siblings Childs Nodes.vi-> encode data to label (Path) .vi).

    Parser XML LabVIEW works if I add a CR to each node/tag.

    I am quite sure that this is a bug in labview. I found a workaround is to open the file, then save the file with the Save File (Pretty Print) method and then open again, but it's a lot of time and I would avoid it.

    Kind regards

    Daniele

    You were right, I did my own necessarily get a brother following text nodes (which also includes RC, I did not know it!).

    Now it works, there is no bug of labview, also if the functions XML documentation is very poor.

    Thank you
