From my research, it seems the phone apps have the ability to store the date of the initial installation of storage 'persistent' which is not deleted on uninstall. The PlayBook has this type of storage? I am familiar with PlayBooks file structure so I know I could put a file in the shared files box, but it would be easy for the user to find and remove.

  I don't know what the Android player support for payment (if anything), but I think that the other three environments now support payment. You can read the information on in-app purchases even if I do not remember the term 'license key' is clearly stated in the API documentation. Easy to find if you need.

  I don't know how that would solve the 'problem' with people from uninstalling the app and put it back, however. There is still no mechanism that you can use to save the State that persists through the sequence to uninstall/reinstall.

  I would say also that it may well be the best approach "structurally", you may not be happy with some of the side effects resulting from running App World. Specifically, I think that your application would be regarded as 'Free' and listed with free applications, which can mean you end up much lower in lists, because while you can get a lot of installs, you can get some shopping and so some good reviews.

  I can not advise other than to say that according to my understanding that you could do a mechanism to try/buy actually there apart from the thing to uninstall/reinstall.

  Personally, I think I have just limit my trial version to ensure that certain basic features disabled and so inefficient.   You can create groups of ASM disks with normal or high redundancy or specify external redundancy. It depends on your reliability requirements and storage performance. Remember that ASM is not RAID and redundancy is the base file. ASM uses alternating devices. Oracle is generally recommended to have redundancy of storage. If you have RAID redundancy at the level of hardware controller or storage, Oracle recommends to configure ASM disks with external redundancy groups. Redundancy of the DSO is only between groups of disk failure and by default, each device's own failure group. Of course, you always want to make sure that you do not rely on redundancy of data between logical devices or partitions residing on a single physical unit. Compared to external RAID redundancy redundancy ASM using will give the DBA more control and transparency on the setting of the underlying.

  For some sites that I host on the side, I use Hostek and I can't say enough good things about them. Uptime has been great. Help on some questions, I got was even better.

  Avoid Intermedia .net - their support of the CF is CF8 (May 9) and I don't get any indication that they intend to upgrade. I would also avoid HostMySite.com if your site requires safe - specifically juggling tasks of the o/s.

  I was told to systematically fill metadata "Title" and "Author" for each PDF deposited in our electronic despository.

  My question has to do with metadata "author." Is there a structure recommended for her?

  As a librarian, my instinct was to choose the name, first name format (used in the author/creator DC element, for example), but I realized that whenever I have saved the PDF file and then displays the part of metadata (via the shortcut Alt D), it would show "Lastname, Firstname" rather than the full name (for some unknown reason, adds Adobe Pro "" ""). After some tests, I came to the conclusion that the coma was the source of the problem. So I changed my mind and adopted the format Firstname Lastname , but I'm not sure that this is the best option.

  So if I ask you a few questions, here they are:

  -Which format do you recommend for the metadata of the author (if there is one)?

  -Why a coma generates ""?

  Is there a specific separator character that I use when I need to fill two different names (if a given thesis has been written by two different people)? (this issue also applies to metadata "Key words")

  There are no rules in itself, but the XMP specification defines DC: creator as a ProperName field, which means it must be written in the way he would say - "John Smith" rather than "Smith, John".
