  The typical top - N query is to calculate ROW_NUMBER (in ascending or descending) in a subquery and then by using the WHERE clause of the main query to get only the rows where this number is<=>
  This top - N query is somewhat different, because if we are ascending to descending order may vary the partition in the partition. In the above query, we calculate the ROW_NUMBER in both directions and then, in the main query, decide whether we will use the bottom line number or decreasing the number.

  This seems a problem of creation of block as indicated by Ringo.

  I would use DATACOPY to copy the data from the current year-> dec to the future-> jan/begbalance. And then I copy data from jan/begbalance for the remaining months of the coming year.

  Something as follows (assuming the dimension that contains the members Retained_Earnings_Total as spare and as dense period);

  DATACOPY & CurrYr-> 'Dec'-> 'Retained_Earnings_Total' to & FutureYr-> "Jan"-> "1000_Retained_Earnings";

  And then copy data from January of the coming year in the last months of the coming year.

  DIFFICULTY (Feb:Dec and any combination of the years to come)
  "Local" = "Local"-> "Jan";
  & RateCurrFcst = & RateCurrFcst-> Jan;

  That you'd be using DATACOPY, block would be created when it is required for fastest way.

• Display the current Date in the Format year (and now - 1, etc.)

  Our form has columns headers that need to change each year, positions are the current year (2010) + 3 previous years.  Trying to programmatically add the titles to eliminate changing the shape just to change the year, but not finding not how and was check some samples date found, but no success yet.  My question is the 2 part - how/where can I put code, I don't need the user to enter something, I want just a column header.  This example below is where I copied the idea from a sample and tried to compensate, calculate for a date/time field event, and I get an error message that says: "the view model 'date-{MM/YYYY]' is not compatible with the data format of the object.  Define a display compatible model.  This view model error is the 2nd part of the question.  How can I show only the 4 digit year?

  I have a project where I have to click a button and and the current year to display in the form YYYY in a dynamic text field.  My current code was written as:

  I tried a few scripts that I found here, such as; year (dateAdd ("yyyy", 1, now()))) with no luck. I confess that I don't know about scripts and can be a bad thing. The script goes on the Action tab as a javascript or somewhere else (validation?) Any advice or assistance would be appreciated. I use Acrobt Pro version 9.

  Going by your post you wanted the year is displayed in a text field, I gave the code to go into the script will count for this field. If you want to use it somewhere else (e.g. a mouseup), then use the variable 'year' in this script. In a calculation script, any value you assign to "event.value" is what will show on the field during the calculation.

  I expect year wise Albums are sorted. But some of the Albums are not sorted in the year.

  If two or more albums were released in the same year by the same artist, they are sorted in alphabetical order. Note also that iTunes can produce unexpected results if you select a descending sort order.
