[IdeaPad y530] RAM

If I can exchange my ddr2 with ddr3 memory modules in ideapad y530?

I'm really sorry to mislead you. I did research not DDR3 enough to give an educated response. It is not backward compatible with DDR2 DDR3 slot. DDR2 has actually 200 pins while DDR3 has 204 pins. I double checked on my Y530 just to be safe, and he concluded that you will not be able to upgrade to DDR3 modules.

How will I know if I have the bluetooth. I just received this IdeaPad Y530. On the sticker on the bottom is a MO:AB08102003.

I type "bluetooth" in the search box of windows and a window opens for bluetooth devices and there a task click on bluetooth settings, but nothing happens when I click it.

On your keyboard, press 'Fn + F5'. It should appear a wireless device management utility. If you have a bluetooth device on your laptop, it should show a card 'Wireless' and 'bluetooth device.

  • IdeaPad Y530 wireless wifi is turned off then on battery

I have a new Ideapad Y530 Intel 5100 wifi wireless network card. It works fine when I am connected to an electrical outlet, but when I am on battery it loses connection Wireless after about half an hour of use. When I check the network card, it shows that it is disabled. I'm trying to enable him, but she remains disabled, I can't operate unless I restart the computer. I've done so far that has not fixed it problem:

    1. I checked the power management settings in the device for the network card Manager and you have unchecked the box "allow the computer to turn off the device to save power".

    2. I already uninstalled Readycomm since I had problems with it before

    3. I also affect roaming aggressiveness 1.

Can someone direct me on how to keep network to get wireless card disabled when I am on battery?

In addition, once I lose the connection Wireless because the network card is disabled, Windows Vista network settings are really slow to come for me to check my network connection and settings, never had this problem with XP. System seems to hang for several minutes before I can get into the network and sharing Center.

    Thank you.

I think I've figured this out. I disabled and then uninstalled the power management Lenovo that at first seem to solve the problem but didn't. I knew that it was something to do with power management, so I checked my settings and it was set to energy saving. When I changed to balanced remained turned on the wireless network adapter and I have not lost my network connection. I checked power options advanced for the adapter in symmetric mode and energy-saving wireless and found that Power Saver if it had set for the Maximum energy savings while only balanced if it had set for maximum Performance. The setting for maximum energy savings, it is this that kept disable the wireless card with after several minutes, I changed it to the following configuration, low energy and my without thread remains active and I don't lose my network connection. So for anyone else having problems with the loss of their wireless connection, try to check your power management settings.

For the bsod problem try to start windows memory diagnostic tool. This is based on your expanded it is a memory problem.

For the question, determine you the processor model number and look up (plug) in site Intels. You should see other features of the type of memory to use (if DDR3L or DDR3) for a good game.

    Update:

Here's how to run diagnostics: simply click the circled option shown after you type memory in the search box.

Assuming you have I7-4700MQ, this will be the result in the Intel Web site:

From there, the answer to your question is NO, you cannot use DDR3. You can use only the DDR3L 1333 or 1600 Dual channel No. ECC memory support.

  • driver [ideapad y530] win xp bluetooth problem

    Welcome to all,

Recently I bought lenovo y530. I managed to get rid of vista and install xp. Everything went smoothly until the installation of bluetooth, downloaded driver from lenovo support Web page seems to have a bug or smt. I can't install it. (corrupted file error) Tried downloading twice and still the same error. Can anyone provide a suitable driver, please

    eeKyy

    BTW. Sorry for my English

I found a solution 4 me, probably not the best, but it seems 2 work...

as there have not been any CD or dvd provided by lenovo, there was a partition container:

    * Repair Sytem software

    * OneKey Recovery Software

    * Vista drivers

In the folder of vista drivers, there is a folder named "13.Bluetooth" containing the bluetooth drivers and software for windows vista. Installation only works for versions of vista, but there is a "Win32" subfolder (installation it does not work for me there again, it seems that for the 32 vista versions) containing another folder named 'bouzham '. There should be a file "DPInst.exe" and by the execution of it, you should be able to install the bluetooth drivers. If this isn't the case, follow these steps:

-selected bluetooth device in Device Manager (of course there was no driver not installed, but nevertheless you should see, marked in yellow, if you pass on your wireless devices, time, manually and with the Fn + F5 keys)

-Right-click on it in the context menu, select 'update driver... '. "(or install driver, I don't remember, but it should be two th)

-in the first window, select "install from a list or specific location".

-in the second window and then select "Search for the best driver in these locations" and check "include this location in the search" and navigate to the folder "bouzham" mentioned previously (... \13.Bluetooth\Win32\brcm), and then click ok, and then to have the drivers installed...

hope this works for you too...

  • IdeaPad S205 RAM/memory: maximum speed?

    Hello

Lenovo customer service/tech support I asked this question several times, each to give me an answer to 1066 mhz.

What is the maximum SPEED for the RAM/memory usable by the S205 with AMD Fusion the E450 processor?

I understand 8G (2 slots of 4G) is the maximum capacity of ram.

But what is the maximum speed of the ram? I thought that the maximum allowance is 1 066 mhz due to the site, despite the AMD website, saying that the E450 can manage 1333 mhz.

Obviously, I want to max out my RAM. I went on the site of Kingston and used the option to locate specific RAM for this device and it gave rise to 1 066 mhz 2X4G sticks. So I bought and it just. I just want to come here and see if someone actually KNOWS what as the maximum speed capability (or anything else I should be aware of outside Gig capacity) which can take the S205 with AMD Fusion the E450.

    EDIT:
In new research, I found the following.

    (1) according to the support of crucial technology, the RAM frequency/speed is controlled by the processor CPU only. And as said by him, the AMD 300 and 350 have a maximum speed of control for the RAM of 1066 mhz. However the E450 has a 'controller memory integrated (up to 1333 MHz) DDR3"as seen go ( http://www.lenovo.com/shop/americas/content/pdf/system_data/s205_tech_specs.pdf ).

Also note that just below him, he goes on to say that the maximum speed for RAM is at 1066 mhz. Therefore, this disturbs more the issue. It seems to me that, when they are max memory capacity and speed, they forgot that the E450 can manage more of the E300 and E350 and simply serve their maximum speed of 1066.

I already went ahead and bought 2X4G 1066 RAM. Fortunately, I did not open them. But now it comes to ship to the company and having to order the good 1333 mhz RAM. Otherwise I use RAM that is slower than my full potential.

I advanced and called Lenovo and it brought to their attention. After the daughter of back and forth between 1066 and 1333, she decided at the end (of course assistance from their technical support level 2) 1333 is maximum for E450.

    Conclusion:
It seems that if you have E450, you may have to 1333.

If you have E300 or 350, you can have 1066.

If anyone has confirmation, please tell.

If you go to the Lenovo support site and enter the serial number of your S205, if will give you a list of all the machine components (including the RAM module manufacturer, size, speed, etc.).

The manual indicates that the specification of RAM for my S205 1066.  By entering my serial number, I found that Lenovo had actually installed 1333 RAM in my system.  Then, when I added more RAM, I knew to add 1333 instead of 1066.

No, I didn't bother to check my actual speed of the RAM.

I can turn it off by holding the button market / stop, but when I turn back the problem is still there. Windows does not start.

I was able to go back to Windows that day after leaving just laptop without any power and battery.

I called Lenovo and they suggested to disable the standby modes use put into hibernation. I did it. When the screen saver started, something went wrong, computer got froze and I had to restart, but then again, black screen and no reaction.

    Anyone have any ideas?

  • Y530 high battery wear level

    Dear friends,

I have a problem with the battery life on my Ideapad Y530 (Intel Dual Core T4200, NV GF9600M GS 512 MB, disk HARD 320, 3 GB of DDR3 memory). My laptop is about 1 year and 1 month, and the battery life decreased about 03:15:00-01:45 (power saver plan, set minimum screen brightness). Everest reports the following information about the battery:

    Capacity: 56160 mWh

    Capacity: 28390 mWh

    Wear level: 49%

I am using windows 7 Home Edition premium for about 8 months all the latest drivers downloaded from the lenovo site and all updates from windows update. Is this normal level of wear for a portable years? Is there a way to change this kind of things other than buying a new battery? What windows 7 somehow related to such wear high level?

    Thanks for any help.

    Best regards.

Yes, the battery is normal. This is an inverse square, so finally he drops down to 14000mWh.

A new battery costs $89 for my Y550, is not too bad if you rely on the battery.

If you really need to stretch this battery, use Super Power Saver. It stops Windows Aero, Wireless, sounds and any other material useless. It is great for typing Word Documents and others.

  • Y530 - processors supported

    Hello!

I have recently become a happy owner of a laptop Lenovo IdeaPad Y530. If I am satisfied with the performance for the moment, I feel that in the near future, because my Univ. computer science education progresses and programming capacity reached higher lvls, I might want to upgrade my CPU. And here my question - what CPU can hold up to my laptop? There currently C2D T6500 and I would look for something in the sense of a P8xxx. will my chipset (PM45) and a laptop computer as all be able to support? It is even possible to replace a processor with relative ease, as in a normal desktop PC, or some other portable? Thanks in advance for the answers, and if more information is needed to answer my questions, I'd be more than happy to provide

as far as I know, the processor P8700 works system PM45 chipset. But the P8700 isn't much more powerful to justify the enormous cost of these CPU.

  • Graphic shortcut keys

I am looking for the location of the graphic buttons (images as you press the volume controls, FN keys). I'll try to replace them with my own images, but I have no idea where I can find them on my computer? I have IdeaPad Y530 Windows 7 64 bit. Thank you in advance for the answers. Sorry for my English.

all the images needed are in the executable file (c:\program files\lenovo\energy management\open energymmanagement.exe)

to view or edit, you can use resource hacker (this is an older application & use since 2003, simple but useful)

After the replacement of your personal image, application may stop working. If this happens, re-install the power management or the backup file.

Plug the AC adapter / CC
Press now on the small button near the switch with a up down arrow when the machinr is off
