THE ADOBE DOCUMENTS ARE TRYING TO OPEN AS WORD DOCUMENT

I have Adobe X installed on my computer, but when I try to open the .pdf documents, he tries to open it as a Word document and then request a file converter and gives me options in Japanese and Chinese, etc, and the document does not open.  I think I caused the problem when I installed a soda a few days ago Adobe program because he said that he translated .jpeg files in PDF format.  When I was getting so problems to open pdf documents, I uninstalled the program of soda, and then all of my pdf files on my computer disappeared.  I then uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe X and still have the same problem.  I ran the Adobe fix the program, but still does not.  Help!

I'm not sure what you mean by a program of Adobe of soda, but looks like you have messed up your file associations.

Find a file you know is a PDF file, click on it once to select it, right click and go to open with > choose default program. Choose Adobe Reader and click on the box that says "use the selected program to open this type of file.

These are the instructions for Windows Vista. XP is very close to the same thing. Mac OS is different so let us know if that's what you use.

What is the point of having a "FILE LISTED, recent' on the homescreen of my Adobe Acrobat Pro DC if it does not work?  I click on a file in this list to open it and I get the above message.   Then the name of the file disappears.  The file I'm trying to open is always stored in the same place and was not changed or renamed or moved.

It of the same thing when I want to save a file and try to save it in a folder in list AAPDC of recent files that has not been changed or moved.  I get the following message: "the location you are trying to open is no longer available and cannot be opened."

I search all morning for a solution.  Thanks for any input or you can provide solutions.  I use a PC running Windows 7 Professional.

    Thanks Karl!

After all, the problem seems to be that the file is in a folder on my car-sharing company. I'll see if our technicians can change permissions... .or I'll have to live with it.

I see that the document is saved in my personal car, am I able to click and open from the list of Acrobat.  Of course, this is no help to other users of the document.

  • How can I prevent the Adobe Reader DC trying to open the files I'm trying to drag to a folder?

Setting the screen double here. If I have a file on my left screen and I want to fly over this file in the file browser I have on the right screen while I have also another pdf open to DC in fullscreen only on the right side also, and even if the file Explorer is in front, DC will try to open the pdf file and my file will not be moved. If I try to do the same thing with DC not mode full-screen, the file is moved without problem. Looks more like a glitch than anything, but if anyone has any suggestions on how to solve this problem, it would be great.

    Thank you!

    Figured it out.

  • Got "the page you are trying to access is not valid." When trying to access the document

We have an EchoSign document already sent to the clouds to Adobe via API v20, after successful sending that get the URL to access the document. And in our application that is a cluster with two application servers, say a server and Server B and send the document to Adobe via the server. Now, when you try to open the URL of the document from Server A, it is well; but when you try to open the URL of the server B, it reports that "the page you are trying to access is not valid.". Any idea on this? For Server A and Server B, the URL is the same, is not why this happens.

    Hello Usman,

We have already solved the problem. That's the problem on our side. :-)

I need to sync my new iPad pro and because used to synchronize requires the latest update, I have my laptop but I never have syncd my ipad with this computer and if I try to backup if I agree to erase everything on my device and sync with the laptop.  Of course, I don't want to do what I want to see everything on the NEW ipad from the old version.

I went through the troubleshooting and found a solution, but when I had finished making all this trouble report said, there was a pesky itunes shortcut file on the left and I can not delete this shortcut, regardless of how many times I try.  If I can't remove it, the Installation will be terminated.  How can I delete this file?

Since then, they have had updates almost every day

And around the same time, my problem appeared on XP Home Edition, I was not able to access Adobe PDF files and had to re-download Adobe Reader XI

It would not be the first step to disable automatic updates in Control Panel and manually download and install the most recent cumulative security update for internet explorer since without first, everything in the way of troubleshooting will be futile?

Download and install the latest cumulative security for IE8 update and manually restart the computer.

visit windows update via the shortened link in your Start menu.
