  Then inserted the DVD and the beginning of the process until I got error 1002.  Now I can't do anything.  The hard drive seems to have been formatted so all the information was deleted, but I start the process of reinstalling VISTA.

  I am really lost do - what I need to do to solve this problem.  I have a laptop £450.00, which has an operating system that is hidden in a partition, but how can I reinstall it when the DVD of RESTORATION HP continues giving error 1002.

  

  Thank you all for your support but no luck.  I decided to buy windows 7 32 bit and install on the laptop.  I had some problem with wifi work only not with Windows 7 32 bit.  But guys on the forum helped me with that.

  So no more Windows Vista for me.

I have tried virtually all the "stuff" in the book, those recommended by Adobe and those blogs, and nothing works. I have even directly connected to my internet provider, without going through my wi - fi modem and using their connection broadband.
