The Bios password has changed on my Satellite A100-797?

An hour ago my bios on my satellite A100-797 does not accept my password more, so I can't start my laptop more.
Is started the laptop views both today, and suddenly my password doesn't work anymore.

-Im am 100% sure I type the password.
-Never change the password always used this password on this laptop, for the time of year I have now.
-I'm the only person who has never known the password.
-No recent bios update

It should not be possible that changed the password.
Is it possible the mapping of the keys or something like that has changed?

I recommend you contact the ASP in your country too.
It turns out that only the ASP can remove the BIOS password.

Maybe they could update the BIOS to make sure that this is not a BIOS problem.

Good luck

    Hello:

Instructions to clear the password of the BIOS for your model are at the link below, under clearing BIOS settings > clear the BIOS password.

There's a separate rider to clear the BIOS password, and instructions as written should work.

I changed the BIOS password on an empty (blank). I can't access the BIOS. Pressing on enter: it shows the error isn't the right password.
    How can I fix?

Hmm. sounds you did something wrong maybe you misspelled or set a different password?

Anyway, the point is that you are not able to bypass the BIOS password screen and in this case you will be unable to start Notepad.

The problem is that you cannot remove the BIOS password, this can be done by a technician of ASP.

In my opinion only technician in ASP can help you.

  • L50D-B - reset of the Bios password satellite

    Model: Satellite L50D-B-17J
    Serial number: YE031145C

So, one of my cousins has managed to put a BIOS password on his cell phone and then forgot the password. Now, I was invited to see if I can fix it.

First of all: this notebook, while relatively new, is essentially fixed or trash, she already has a new. I already opened it upward, so the warranty has technically been canceled already. All this means it does not matter too much if he breaks in the process of fixing. They say that they have contacted support and not really gotten an idea clear of what to actually do, and I'd rather not have to worry about support (the Support System site is not even working for me right now).

    Long story short:
Is it possible to reset the BIOS password on this model? I understand that it is possible on many laptops to do by removing the CMOS battery. Now, this model does not have a (I opened it and found no one). Instead, I understand that the newer models may have a circuit that can be shorted to possibly reset the BIOS? Is this correct, and if so, what is it?

Once more, the laptop is practically acquired anyway, so if possible, I'd take the chance to do it myself, if it's at all possible.

Well, the circuits in question would be JCMOS1 riders normally located under the RAM. Bridge them while the power is turned off the first. If it does not then on the screen by removing the battery and drive, press and hold power for 10-15 seconds, then hold down Fn + ESC, holding down it to the bottom of the plug in the power lead and switch on the device. When the fan starts release Fn + ESC. If you see a post screen then bridge JCMOS1 jumper then and that should reset the BIOS. Unplug the unit and hold down the power button for 1 minute and then plug it back again. It should start up with asking to specify a password. If you could not to post, then refer to the manual to see what it flashes the procedure. The buttons used for flashing procedure will be the same to make this post. Only fill the JCMOS1 jumper while the machine is running if you see the post screen, no other time. An easy way to bridge them would be to use a paperclip and bend it on and use the ends of it.

I read all the manuals and there is no default password.
Is there a way to reset it or at least a program that will allow me to change with my fingerprint reader?

    > More funny it has a Bios password and I can't change.
For me it is not funny but he s strange because the BIOS password is not set on any one of the new laptops the point is that the BIOS password cannot be disabled or removed without knowing the old password.
So, you won't be able to remove it without the help of ASP from Toshiba.

  • Satellite 2210 - Boot in the BIOS password

    Toshiba Satellite Dyna
    Model name: Satellite 2210 C50/4 8
    Model No.: PS221N - S 691, 60

This is the right forum for the laptop above?

It is an OLD Win98 laptop. A friend asked if I could "fix".

PROB: Is there a Boot password in the BIOS. I can't get into the BIOS without the password.
I tried each key entry in the BIOS that I know, but can't yet get into the BIOS.

I get a msg that says press F2 for a Boot Menu, but apparently this works only once the password is entered.

Is there a way to RESET the BIOS password?
On a desktop computer, this would be by removing the CMOS batt. for 15 seconds.
Relocation of the batt. & restart.
But, being a laptop, I'm not familiar with how to access the CMOS batt.

The owner of the laptop would like me to do a "gaming laptop" for his young children.

ANY help anyone can offer will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Sincerely,
    MLStrand56

    > PROB: there is a Boot password in the BIOS. I can't get into the BIOS without the password.
    > I tried each key entry in the BIOS that I know, but can't yet get into the BIOS.

BIOS password cannot be removed as on desktop PC. AFAIK the RTC battery is soldered to the majority of motherboards so don t think that's an option.
The BIOS password can be removed by Toshiba service provider agents

But you don't need t to access the BIOS to change the boot order.
You can press F12 when starting the laptop and usually the start menu should appear where you could choose the boot device

If you want to set the password in the BIOS you will need to access the BIOS by pressing the F2 key immediately after that the laptop has been powered.

There is a 3rd tab security.
There you can set the BIOS password. You would need to put everything first and then you must confirm the password once more to

    Hello

    Sorry for my English.

I have to take the bios password on a Toshiba Satellite A40-271-PSA40E-09XD2-SP

I took out battery of the bios for a day or two, obviously without the laptop battery and the password of the bios keeps on.
Could you help me please?, I need your experience to solve this problem of this laptop.

    With regards to the King.

    Hello

You will not delete the BIOS password if you remove the CMOS battery.
This procedure has worked on the common desktop PC, but it will not work on Toshiba laptops.

The unknown BIOS password can be removed only by a Toshiba ASP because this requires a special procedure!

So contact the ASP in your country for assistance!

  • Original image has disappeared I think off the hard drive and the BIOS password set up does not work?

Someone please help me with this!

I bought this laptop from a friend (have receipt) who sell it to me because the screen was cracked and spidered all out when you the activated. And everywhere he went to ask to get the screen fixed it is very expensive ($250 - $350) and he said that it would be just a newer laptop. So he sold me this which is a model Probook of HP4420s XT940UT #ABA. About a week after I bought this Probook friend who sold it to died me suddenly. It was sudden and terrible. Some time later, I had the time of the purchase of the LCD for this model, replace it myself (was very easy actually) and booted up the laptop with a new installation of Windows 7 Professional 64-bit Edition. After installing all my software and using the laptop for a while now, I wanted to get into the Bios that I've never done. So when I started the laptop, click ESC, then F10 to enter the BIOS, there were two places to enter a password is different then all Dell I've ever owned. One was mine I guees I put in place using HP protect tools and the other says BIOS/administrator. Well I can do most of the changes with the one I put in place with my password but my password does not work, nor can I get in some very significant changes that I wanted to do using Bios/administrator, as kindling the LoJack, namely the blocking of the hard drive etc. , turning on turbo boost, fan, etc. Well, since the person I bought is no longer with us, there is no one to turn to the answer to this question of administrator/BIOS password / problem.  I tried to take battery Rtype and restore that way, didn't work. Several times, I called HP and they sent me to a BIOS page to download the same BIOS, I have already, would not let me install it. When I bring up the command prompt and do not put anything in BiosConfigureUtility.exe happens, said just a wrong command. When I try to enter the BIOS through the C: file in the files of the SSM, I reach the BiosConfigUtility.exe file, click on it to open it and it just flashes a way small order page to fast to read what it says. I would like to have complete control over my laptop thinking I have a lot of time and money invested in it now. The problem would have something to do with installing the 64 bit version of Windows 7 instead of the 32 bits guess what it initially provided with?  Where can I find the UUID and what tech Department I would ask because if I have to call HP again and what other information should I have ready for them if you know? I have all the manuals and they say that this laptop is compatible with Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit Pro is what I installed. I'm mixed responses from many different people on this and would like an answer from HP someone who has experience in dealing with the BIOS in the Probooks business models if possible please. I really like this Probook and have since become a big fan of most HP, Dell and Lenovo.  I intend to buy two probooks, one for my wife and one for my daughter because this one is like a MacBook, but better.  Thank you for reading this and I hope someone can help with more than one answer then GET AHOLD OF HP TECHNICAL TEAM. As I said, I did it.

    Model: HP Probook 4420 s

Sorry to hear about your friend and your problem.  The BIOS password cannot be reset without the help of HP.  They will need some information from your PC and increase your case.  I recommend you give them a call.
