The blackBerry Smartphone OS upgrade

Hello and good day.  I have a 9360 and my supplier has notified me that there is an upgrade from 7.0 to 7.1.  When I went into the software wedge during the process of my old version of backup.  Any suggestions?  I tried several times and left that he connected for well over an hour, thinking perhaps he needs some time, but always the same result.  It crashes when you save the SSM messages.

When you try to do the upgrade? On your computer? If so, try simply to save your phone on its own first. If it still freezes at the SMS database, do a selective save. Try to select all databases, but SMS or just back up the databases, you must (address book, calendar, etc.). Once you have done this, try to load the operating system using the method described here:

Even if the above link is to reload an OS, it will also upgrade your operating system. Then, once you have finished, you will have to just re-download your apps and restore your data and're you good to go.

    After updates or then get email of wobbly, I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone

    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

    I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should try remove and re-add your BIS configuration for these accounts. Otherwise, you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.

    N.. completely different. For your mobile network, with a strong network carrier (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB...     For the wireless, there is no sort directly 'reset' nothing beyond removing and reconfiguring of the WiFi network configurations. Beyond that, things as device WIPE, reloading the OS, and other very drastic measures would be required. And, important to note, I have no way of knowing if this is really necessary... you did not no matter what description of what happens, so it is not possible to understand your situation and you give more targeted recommendations.

    2. Press the Menu key, and then click Options.

    Hmmm... which doesn't sound right does it your phone freeze. But that said, try to remove the BlackBerry Protect, restart your phone and try then put it back. You must now install the new version.

    If it still does not work, even once, let me know and then I'll see if I can get further assistance.

    296 is an old OS and had some problems call. I would upgrade to a newer version.

    Manual device OS upgrade instructions:

    1. start by searching for your operator and the system operating file that you want to use.

    First perform a battery pull reboot as this device on remove the battery for a min. then reinsert it wit back up what your device restarts. Then give it a try and see if it allows you to uninstall this application.

    If that does not start then your device on Safe Mode, while safe mode remove the theme of your device. Options of > device > application > remove it of there.after conducting another battery pull reboot.

    On the BlackBerry OS6 and 7, go to Options > device, down advanced system settings. Go to TCP IP. Select the first box and next to the AFN of type 'Internet '. Your BlackBerry ID will be downloaded. It will ask you to reboot your device, do, and if you then it in your App World > MyWorld, it invites you to a blue screen, where you need to connect.
