The button behavior is different between Windows 8 and Windows 7

Hello

I'm developing an application that runs on Windows 7 and Windows 8. This application is intended to be used with a touch screen. Users must make choice of a ListView.

With Windows 7, everything works fine. Items are selected when the user clicks on it.

Things are different on Windows 8. If the user do not type in the center of the item (IE, if the finger touches simultaneously two elements), Windows seems to think that the selection is ambiguous and does not select anything. This is particularly problematic when the list contains small pieces of interface user, in which case the user must be very specific by touching the screen.

Is it possible to disable this behavior, or reduce the radius of ambiguity?

Thank you

Simon (sausage fingers).

Probably a better question for TECHNET as consumer forums.

Numbers of rolliche good luck!

Sounds like an Energy Saver preference, but what computer do you use?  A G5 (PowerPC) machine will not work on El Capitan.

  • Why the bounding boxes are different between the XI Acrobat Pro and Acrobat DC?

    Hello

Firstly apologies if this been asked elsewhere, but so far I have failed to find a solution.

I have Acrobat Pro XI and Acrobat DC, each on two different PCs using Windows 8. Why the function edit text & Images interprets the same PDF document differently when displaying the bounding boxes. In Pro XI he produced 7 inclusive about 7 decent size paragraphs of text only. In MS bounding boxes are reduced to only 3 each effectively covering most thick of text in the document. To quickly select 3 of 7 bounding boxes to remove them entirely from my PDF seems not to be possible in DC, where I appear instead of having to select large portions of the text instead and delete accordingly.

I don't see where in preferences maybe you can change the 'sensibility' or 'threshold' to distribute a PDF file in smaller sizes (but more) bounding boxes. Is it possible to make DC behave like a Pro XI?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Mark

These boxes are the result of speculation, well enough. The algorithm behind

He probably changed between versions, so the different results.

There is nothing you can do about it.

  • What happened to the button ' Up a folder "in Windows Explorer?

Starting with Windows Vista, the button "level up a folder" was deleted!  I found this button VERY useful and I am VERY disappointed he isn't there anymore... This has considerably slowed my production speed!

The next image in the Windows XP Explorer, near the top right of the ' Previous/next' buttons and the button 'Search', you see a folder with a green arrow pointing up.  Clicking this button makes the Windows Explorer to go "to the top level of a folder" lead you to the folder parent from your current location:
In the next image in the Explorer of Windows 7, you can see the button "level up a folder" has been removed:
Is it at all possible to return this button please?  This will greatly improve my production speed...
(Whenever I click on a 'Find a file' button in Windows 7 Explorer starts to the last folder I was watching and I often just want to go 1 or 2 levels higher than that, records but the only way to get that start completely at the beginning of the C: drive and go through all the files to get there, which can become VERY tedious because I find myself browsing for files 50 times / day simply because) the button ' up a folder "is missing...)

When they returned to Windows 8. I have not seen! It would be great!

I have Windows 8.1 and it's there.  8.1 is free if you have 8.  Just Google it. :)

  • The button behavior

I have a request online at http://chaz45.com/main26a.html with 4 buttons on the left side.  The first three buttons work fine.  The fourth button to select a php application that loads a form of contact.  For some reason when this button is clicked by the user, it does not react like the others.  If you move the mouse button after clicking on it, the page loads, but when you initially click the button and the mouse is still hovering above him, he does nothing.  If you move the mouse pointer while hovering always on the button (after you have clicked on it), the button moves several times.  The buttons are "button" objects in flash and the 'down' for each button state includes a slightly updated the X and is coordinate the button to show the movement when you click on it.  Here is the code AS 2.0 for the site.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Concerning

    Tender Hello,

Can you try to set the property "partialSubmit" to your 'false' button and restart weblogic server and try again and see if that makes a difference?

    See you soon

  • Change in the calculation of the threshold of IOPS / s between 5.1 and 5.5

    Hello world

Some of my users complained about the performance degraded after that I migrated the host of 5.1 to 5.5. After a bit of poking around, I had to remove the limits of PAHO are / s in order to restore their previous performance...

So, I did a simple test on the 2 VMs. Here's the info about the test:

A host running vSphere 5.1, with SSD (OCZ ZDrive R4) card connected. A vm W2k12 R2 running on it, version 9 of vm, vmtools build 9221. 2-disc limited to 500 IOPS / s of each, so 1000 Ops ARE / s total

A host running vSphere 5.5, same card plugged SSD. A clone VM vm first, version updated to 10, vmtools build 9349. IOPS / s limit matches

Storage I/O control is disabled on the 2 hosts, but I did a few tests with active IGCs, and it was not conclusive

    Operating mode:

    1 take this http://vmktree.org/iometer/OpenPerformanceTest32.icf file

    2 IOMeter v1.1.0 Iometer project - downloads, pre-build binary for x 86-64

    3. has launched the 'Max - 100% read throughput' specification without change, outside of the "transfer request size. I changed this setting from 8 KB to 512 KB

    limit_iops.png

    Here are the results:

    limit_iops002.png

As you can see, the limitation is handled completely differently from one version to the other... In addition, the average response time is crazy on the ESX 5.5!

I searched for an explanation for this change, but I can't find anything...

So, how can I go back to the old behavior? Because we have different types of workload and the different types of IO size, I can't have a simple formula to get an appropriate limit. I have to have a strict limit of the IOPS / s, regardless of their sizes...

    Thank you all,

    -Vincent.

    Hi all

After an open case and dozens of tests, I found these links, explaining this beahviour "weird":

New scheduler used in vSphere 5.5 disk i/o

vSphere 5.5 and limits of disk (caveat mClock scheduler)

In short, the new introduced in vSphere 5.5 disk IO Scheduler consider an e/s with a maximum of 32 KB. If your IOs are larger, when you specify a limitation of IO, the calculation will be in multiples of 32 KB... Please, read these links, Duncan explains really well... Congratulations to him!

I'm just annoyed that VMWare does not communicate enough on these changes, because they are big enough!

    Kind regards

    Vincent.

  • Turn on the labels of the buttons! Why are they turned off and I have to spend ages trying to find how to activate their!

I have to waste time reset my toolbars after the bloody upgrade because I'm upset. Where do you turn on the labels of the buttons so I know what they are for love?

  • The button send on my MacBookPro has disappeared and I can't send emails on this device, but I can send it on my iPhone 6. I just upgraded to El Capitan

The button 'Send' on my Mac Book Pro has disappeared and I can't send him. Other devices on the same WiFi have their buttons send and can send messages. I can also send mails on my iPhone6Plus. So, it doesn't seem to be a problem with the supplier or the connection. I've recently updated to El Capitan. That's happened? How can I get the back button?

    Ski6ta,

Same question as Re: cannot send email... Maybe this will help.

  • After I updated, now the buttons on sites are inactive (I clicked and nothing happens). I tried a lot of things. What is going on?

I tried to reinstall Firefox - no change. In Internet Explorer, all the buttons are active - this only happens in Firefox. 'Some' buttons 'certain' sites are active. But most of the buttons are inactive - the cursor placed above the button does nothing.

The extension of the Yahoo! toolbar and the extension of Babylon have been reported because of this problem. Disable or uninstall the modules.

  • Is it possible to make the buttons work in Acrobat Reader for iPhone and iPad?

    Hello

I shopped in the forums, and although several threads are on the same question, I can't find a conclusive answer. I try to open an interactive pdf with buttons (show/hide actions) on my iphone in Acrobat Reader. However, the functions do not work, then they work fine on my Mac. Am I right in thinking that it is impossible to have buttons in interactive PDF work on my iOS devices? All applications are up to date. The buttons were created in inDesign.

Thanks in advance for your support.

    Hi jom13880393

    I apologize for the issue.

However, the navigation buttons options you speak is not available in the app and there is no solution for it right now.

    Kind regards
