The Chromatic Aberrations and ACR

I read that Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) did a very good job to eliminate chromatic aberration artifacts.

I don't think that, but what precisely in ACR is tools / cursors that are going to do this magic?

It is great and a great time from the previous day. Open an image of CR in Camera Raw.  On the right just below the histogram are 10 icons with a lens being the 6th from the left.  Click on it, click on the profile TAB, select Enable lens Corrections profile, below in, select the profile of lenses your camera do and if you are lucky, your goal will be selectable in the menu template drop-down below.  Otherwise, CLICK the manual tab, and do the old-fashioned way.  The manual tab are also a few new geometrical transformations that are sometimes useful to the Raw level.  Enjoy!

  • What is the chromatic aberration?

I try to print a picture of a day of lilly. (See attachment uncorrected) On both sides of the stem is a black line. not in nature. When I color correct addition or subtraction of contrast, clarity, sharpness, etc., it only gets worse. I don't know what chromatic aberration is and don't care so much I would just fix the pic.

    Thank you!

I'm using OS 10.11.6, Lightroom CC, printer Epson Stylus Photo R3000

Go to the lens correction Panel and turn on remove the Chromatic Aberration

If this does not work to use the section of the fringe of the Panel Guide/Correction of the lens or the cursor of the fringe in the Local adjustment brush

Here's the photo (it was for the small and do a whole bunch) with the pipette in the fringe and the active settings.

  • Can I just apply Lens Corrections profile without fixation of the Chromatic Aberration on import?

    Hello

I work with lightroom on OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 5.7.1

I built a lightroom preset with "lens Corrections/Lens profile Corrections" checked as well as the 'process' and 'Calibration '. They are the only 3 boxes checked and therefore "Aberration of Corrections / chromatic lens" is not checked.

The preset apply lens profile correction successfully when I use it in the develop module. However, when I use it on import, the 'remove the Chromatic Aberration' box ends up also being checked in the develop module lens Corrections Panel.

    Is this normal?

Can I just apply Lens Corrections profile without fixation of the Chromatic Aberration on import?

    Concerning

'Remove the Chromatic Aberration' is probably from your default development module settings. I don't know if it is the default value for the installation, but you can change it. You will need to do this for each camera model that you use:

    (1) open a raw file in the develop module and click on the Reset button at the bottom of the right panel area. This returns all your development settings to their default settings.

    (2) check or uncheck the option 'Remove the Chromatic Aberration' under correction lenses as you wish.

    (3) press and hold the ALT key and then click on the button Reset, which should now say "Set Default".

    (4) in the pop-up, click "Update to current settings".

How could set "Remove the chromatic aberration" If there wasn't a box and is completely automatic?

Probably you have adjusted the sliders 'Fringe', they are not related to "Remove the chromatic aberration" checkbox.

To disable it, you need to set two sliders to amount to zero.

  • Correction of Chromatic Aberration in ACR 6.7

I just have a quick with 6.7RC game before I have to go out for the day.

Only, I found a little bit of CA in one of my pictures and headed the manual sliders. To my surprise, they disappeared! I tried the profile tab of lens and found a check box to "eliminate Chromatic Aberration". Does this mean that the CA correction is now fully automatic?

My main concern is that I won't be able to refine existing correction, but if ACR has now made further adjustments automatically (and does it well) I'll be a very happy Bunny. Indeed, a quick test with a couple of images gives better than normal results using the correction of the defect.

Any chance of confirmation, please, anyone?

    Fix.

  • How can I remove the chromatic aberration / purple colours in Premiere Pro?

New color correction tools are a great improvement, but I have not found a way to eliminate chromatic aberration / purple colours in Premiere Pro.  I have After Effects but prefer to be able to do this within the PP.  Photoshop tools are perfect, and I'm looking for a tool for in PP.  Thank you!

I have found this to AE, but could also be useful pr.

  • Tweaking of correction of chromatic aberration

Correction of the lens in ACR 6.1 is a very valuable addition for me. I used to spend a lot of time to chromatic aberration, and fixing time manually with presets. I find that side fixing CA goes a long way toward improving the sharpness of the image, so I'm a bit of a maniac of the it. Thus, when 6.1 came, I held so see what he could do for CA correction. I was impressed, but while the AC is reduced, it is not deleted and I almost always refine the correction manually.

I found that, even with targets pro, I have to dial in significant (6-18) points of manual setting of CA and the quantities often very similar. I've experimented with change that "fixed amount" by default, but it doesn't seem to help.

    Thus, three questions:

1 is this expected behavior, even for the professional objectives?

    2. If so, enhanced profiles never will be available?

    3. is it possible that I can '' integrated '' offsets for the purpose of the default profiles, to reduce to a minimum the need to use the Presets or manual setting?

These are questions which need exploration.

  • Photoshop CS3 can cut some chromatic aberration (purple fringing) on the hi-contrast Photos?

Some cameras like the Panasonic FZ38 claim to eliminate chromatic aberration (purple fringing on high-contrast images) of their lenses electronically.

If this is the case, I would have thought that an app like PS CS3 (which has a lot more power calculation) might be able to do the same.

Can we do this simply and quickly? I'm pretty sure it can be done manually to spend hours editing... but this isn't what I want!

  • Color shift between the image seen in ACR and open in PS

Today I updated Photoshop CC and now I have a problem of color shift light between the same image open in ACR and then open in Photoshop. It seems to be a little more saturated in ACR.

I tried the same thing on another computer and it doesn't have the same problem, so it must be something that happened in the update (ACR has been one of the elements updated). I also compared the preferences between the two computers and they are identical.

I guess that the next thing to do is to uninstall and reinstall PS?

    Any advice would be appreciated.

  • When the Panasonic Lumix GX7 rely in LR and ACR?

The GX7 is due for release at the end of September, and it seems that MFT is finally getting just as it should.  I have several Panasonic and Panasonic/Leica lenses I use with the GF1 and ordered the GX7, but when I'm able to work on its RAW files in LR and ACR?  How long does take to get a camera in a RC version?

It seems that the GX7 is covered in 5.2, before it was officially released.  Hooray!

  • Chromatic aberration

I have a lot of problems with chromatic aberration in my images.  I'm shooting with canon 5 d mark iii and using good quality lenses.  I am editing the raw files in elements 14.  Is it possible that elements 14 not support my raw files (read some tags).  In talking with a representative of canon, he indicated that there may be a problem.

Thanks a lot ssprengel.  I appreciate the time you took to answer.

  • Chromatic aberration went

I don't know exactly when this happened, perhaps with the 4.1 update, but the box has disappeared from the lens Chromatic Aberration Corrections Panel. He's not where he was doing a little while on the profile tab. Neither the former fringe tools available under the manual tab; the menu of pup - up bangs also disappeared. What gives?

I helped a friend update of Lightroom 3 to 4 yesterday and found the same questions about computer here.

    What gives?

It is brand new.  It's under the control panel under 'Color' lens Corrections

  • Determination of chromatic aberrations in Photoshop in PS4

Is this possible? No correction of the lens in 4, but can we do otherwise?

Open Yes and chosoe phtohsop raw file format. This operation will force the psd, jpg or tif in the filter of the camera raw. The icon 6th on is the one you want.

Or filter > distort > correction of the lens

is where you will find the correction of chromatic aberration.

Definitley watch lens better, if you often get. I changed the body of the camera and used my old lens and have not seen any color fringe in more than 6 months.
