  Not the disk. Just the serial number CS5. Keep all the serial numbers very safe and very convenient for later use.

  When you reinstall CS6 (new or re - build the old one) just install the CS6 upgrade disc (even if no Adobe product has already been installed on this computer).

  Recently I bought Photoshop CS5 Extended Student Edition. Now, I realized that CS6 is soon to be released and I am excited about all the new features. The training page Adobe says that I am only allowed to purchase a product every 12 months. My Question now is:

Then buy CS6 Student Edition when I is published or what I have to do the commercial upgrade from my Student Edition? This would not be my preferred choice because ~ €450 is a lot of money for a student...

• Don't download the CS5 updates (not upgrade)

  I bought a new MacBook Pro and installed CS5. But when I update the programs of more creative it gives me 'there was an error downloading this update. Exit and try again later. "for each program.

  CS5 help is usually located in/usr/Library/Preferenecs/chc.487.../Local Store/Help folder.

  CS6 help is generally downloaded to the shared location, unless it is limited. In this case the folder above can be used to download help.

  Yes, the content setting in the Adobe help Manager offline, will work with CS5 and CS6 and help our customers.

  'Status to expired' usually means the State when local content goes stale, and new content offline is available on Adobe.com servers. Yes, a user can click on the button download/upgrade to update to refresh the content expired with the Adobe help Manager.

  Regarding the launch of CS5 product help, I'll need some more information to provide an answer.

  1. which product and version of CS5 is the customer problem.

• Update for CS5 to CS6 - runtime library error

  Well, this is going to be a bit long.  Sorry!

  We used PS CS5 Extended for 2011 and have it a license for 2 PC...  We recently bought CS6 to replace.  CS6 I installed on my PC, without uninstalling CS5.  After doing so, I registered CS6, thinking (and want to) the two would be available, so I could continue to use CS5 until I got all my plugins/actions/extensions installed in CS6.  Until about 2 hours ago I was able to use CS5 without problem.  I have closed the CS5, open CS6, so I could install an extension.  When I opened CS6, the dialog box allow editing to the PC user accounts has been posted.  I gave him.  But, CS6 never opened.  When I look in the Task Manager, it lists Adobe Photoshop Lite Portable, but that's all.  And now, when I tried to open CS5 once again, he gave me the 'trial' screen that invites for the license key.

• InDesign CS5 and CS6 scripts changes/incompatibilities

  I'm new to scripting InDesign and need to write a JavaScript very complex for InDesign using the Toolbox. My concerns are if CS5/5.5 users will be able to run the script written for CS6. He knows incompatibilities with different versions? If Yes, where can I find a document to compare the differences. I will probably need support the CS5 and CS6 (and anything in between), so a possible solution would be to build for CS5, but if I do, will I'm missing out on all the new key features of CS6?

  There are differences of 1 DOM version to another and they can and will break your script, if you have not designed to handle. For example:

  If you want to use script like me labels (because they are awesome) the following will break if you use CS5 or later:

  app.activeDocument.pageItems.item("myLabel").remove();
  

  So, you have to force the DOM to V6.0. But when you do so be sure to come back to the original version after you're done or you can create more problems. This can be done like this:

  app.scriptPreferences.version = 6.0; // CS4's DOM version
  app.activeDocument.pageItems.item("myLabel").remove();
  app.scriptPreferences.version = 10.2; // Current CC DOM version
  

  It is very annoying (for me at least), so I wrap functions that require DOM changes with a customized version changer to handle this for me. Regarding the list of incompatibilities? Not sure, maybe someone here has one, I know that jongware has a website with all the DOM password 1 version to another. This can be found here:
