INSPIRION 660 s speakers

I created my new 660 s Inspirion and it worked, but no sound from the speakers, I checked and discovered that the computer thinks that the sound was OK, but I have no sound.  The solution is really stupid.  At the top of one of my speakers is a circular room.  It's a volume control.  Amplify the volume and
sound!

Hi Wildcat57,

Oh, that! Seriously, the best post of the day. Thank you very much.

I'll mark this as resolved issue.

  • INSPIRION has suddenly stopped turning

Then, last night, I put my Inspirion 660 to sleep and it was this orange light as he was asleep. Later, I tried to turn it back on but as soon as I pressed the power button, it turns off.

He has not turned on since then. I tried to change the outlet, but it made no difference.

There is a green light on the back where the power is, but the power button displays always no response.

I opened my computer just now, unplugged pin 24 of the motgerboard and a paper clip to connect the Green and black holes. Nothing chachanged.

HOWEVER, whenever I'm on the 24 pin back into the motherboard, the power button flashes orange and the fans spin for 1 second then it stops.

Can someone help me with this? What is the cause of the problem?

It's working now! Just had to replace my power supply.

Has got an incredible PSU 500w for $40 on amazon.

  • Has anyone ever solved the problem of resolution DNS in Windows 8?

I had my first Windows 8 PC (inspirion 660) and had immediately DNS resolution problems.  Updated to 8.1 and still had problems with DNS resolution.  I am connected to the router via an ethernet cable, no wifi.  I have to flushdns every 30 minutes or more often, just to be able to use the internet.  Have searched and tried the answers online and the only one I see that actually worked for everyone must replace the router.  All the other solutions seem to fail.  All my other computers and devices work fine.

There is not a widespread (or even localized, as far as I know) problem with the DNS on Windows 8.  If other devices work fine, but your laptop is affected, then there is a problem with your specific machine or settings.  Have manually set you the IP settings on the PC, including DNS servers?  If so, put everything to DHCP.  If this is not the case, try to define the servers DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.0.0 and see if it works any differently.  If so, it's your router or ISP DNS.  If this isn't the case, then it may be that something went wrong on your computer.  Make sure that all Windows updates are installed and that you have the latest chipset and network drivers and the latest firmware BIOS and NIC.

    Note:

    1) the Microsoft Safety Scanner expires 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

    2) if you run the virus scan of the program which is infected with the virus will be deleted. Therefore, reinstall the program. Also, if files and folders are affected by the virus, while they might even get deleted.

Also, re-enable the services and check if the problem persists or not.

  • Driver audio Inspiron 660

I bought an Inspiron of 660 with Windows installed 8.0 end of 2013. I upgraded to 8.1 Windows with the approval of Dell support. Leafing through the newspaper, there are some Windows last Friday updates. Since that time I had several problems with Windows (Control Panel does not but submenus load and store Windows never loads). The problem I'm concerned here is audio drivers do not work. I did a restart and then went into hardware tests, all wise material past, including producing the sound on the connected speakers. I followed the instructions that Dell gave to solve the problem, including completely delete and force the re-installation of the drivers. Another recommendation is to install the driver improved for the chip I have. As soon as I did it, and restarted, it gave me an error message that the chip cannot manage the improved driver. I asked Dell to help them, but they couldn't help me. I ran CCleaner and Malwarebytes (paid version) to see if there is no virus. Both came negative. Any suggestions?

I finally understood what happened March 17, 2015. AVG did watch a Windows file and quarantine. It has nothing to do with Dell or audio drivers. I found the solution on the Malware of AVG Web site:

I solved the problem by going into the Archives of AVG, find the event in which my audio system has been affected. I believe it was called system32/spool/drivers/x64/3/old/1/printconfig.dll
in any case, I only restored this event where all this information has been removed. I restarted my computer and everything was back to normal

I'm glad to finally solve the problem. Thanks, Chris for all your help and support. You're an asset to Dell. We wish you the best.

  • Inspiron 660 built-in sound

This may sound stupid, but it's here.

Since the beginning of January, I have an Inspiron 660, proc I5, 8 GB mem, 2 TB hd, Nvidia Gfore graphics, integrated 5.1 surround sound.

I still have Sound Blaster 4.1 surround speakers. Green and black 3.5 mm Sockets.

The pc has only pink (mic), green (speaker or headphone) and blue (line).

Helpdesk told me only green jack is sufficient (right, left/right/for/in the back on two analog cables?) but I need new speakers.

Question: How can I really connect the speakers to enjoy the sound surround announced?

    Hi Steffenwolt,

Inspiron 660 doesn't have a sound card integrated 5.1. The system has 2.1 channel audio, therefore, 4.1 surround speakers would not work.

    Please answer for any clarification.

  • Reading by headset and built-in speakers

    Hi all

I have a laptop Dell Inspiron 15 (Inspirion 3521-3829) running Windows 8.1 and I want to play through the two sounds via headphones and the built-in Laptop speakers. Now when I plug in a headset all sounds automatically both helmet and no built in speakers. I can't find a setting to change this anywhere in Windows.

I have posted in forum Windows 8 this question and I got a response saying that there is an option in the Realtek HD Audio Manager either mute (default) or not to cut the speakers when a headset is plugged in. However the screen shot that accompanies this response looked nothing like what I have on my laptop. I tried to reinstall my Realtek Audio driver, but nothing has changed.

The original thread is located in the: http://www.eightforums.com/sound-audio/62571-playback-audio-through-both-inbuilt-external-speakers.html

If anyone knows how to get playback audio through two speakers and plug headphones, would be great.

    Thank you.

Hello. Which may or may not be correct, however the Dell laptops do not have a Realtek Audio Manager. Instead, you get a Manager Audio from Dell, which seems to be based on the Realtek Manager, but is much less useful.

I don't know of a way for you to do what you want.

  • For Inspiron One 23 wireless speakers?

I have the Inspiron One 2350 ('Inspiron One 23"on Dell.com).  I am looking to upgrade the low volume instead, tinny speakers on a machine also very nice.  I have my eyes on Dell Wireless Speaker System AC411, but the product page has a list of "compatibility" which does not include my new system.  Is there a reason why this Bluetooth speaker system would not work with my Inspiron One 2350?

This product is compatible with the following systems:

    Inspiron 14z (5423)
    Inspiron 15z (5523)
    Inspiron 660
    Inspiron s 660
    Inspiron One 20 (2020)
    Inspiron One 23 (2330)
    XPS 13
    XPS 14 (L421X)
    XPS 15 (L521X)
    XPS One 27 (2720)

    Hi Michael_T,

I have the 2330 and 2350. There is little difference, but you'll be sure of using bluetooth to 2330 on your 2350.

  • When the power settings are on anything except power save speakers make a hissing sound

so when I have my power options in Control Panel on high performance, I hear a whistling electric survey noise, when I change balanced lights quieter then be able to save his almost silent but I hear it again, I tried several headphones and speakers, and it happens again, then this action solves the problem, I have a custom high-performance pc that I play games on I don't want to restrict my gaming experience.

is there one solution other than to put it on energy conservation? I also tried different volumes and I cut the sound, it still happens...

    Hi George,.

    ·         What type of port is the wired mouse?

    ·         Are you using wireless or wired mouse?

It seems to be your USB controller in the PC pick it up or interference. Cut everything on the Volume control and bring them both to see if you can narrow the problem down to a specific entry.

Try to connect the mouse to another USB port. Remove any external device connected to the computer except keyboard and mouse and check.

Uninstall and reinstall the latest drivers of sound card on the manufacturer's Web site and check if it helps.

  • speakers are weak

    Hello

    I have a macbook pro (17-inch, mid 2010) 2.66 GHz Intel Core i7 and I'm under Beta Sierra 10.12.1.

Recently I noticed that my speakers are extremely low.  With headphones it's correct, but without, I need the room to be completely silent - not even a fan runs - in order to hear.

    I'm tempted a restart of P R command-option without a bit of luck.

    Any suggestions?

    Chris

I don't understand what you mean by "low"?

Have you tried a reset the NVRAM?

  • (Mid-2010) Mini Mac external speakers + Sierra

    Hello guys,.

I wonder about this new system. Since I downloaded it my external speakers have not worked. I have Aiwa speakers before 180 system. I tried to plug in the headphones or the internal speakers and nothing happens. The speakers still work b/c I hear static and I have tried plugged into themselves and I got a your hard. So my best guess is that Siri has messed up this older model Mac compatibility. So, what gives Sierra, I love so much that I have would be to demote, however there is no more Audio download of El Capitan.

Check your sound settings in system preferences. They could be eset with default values. Often just tilting head and on the output selections will 'wake up' the system.

Alternatively try a Starter course if the above does not help.

    ------

Restart in Safe Boot mode by holding down the SHIFT key at startup. Secure boot is quite slow because the operating system performs some cleanup and verification tasks, so give it time. Once you're completely connected, restart normally.

  • audio output lists only the internal speakers when usb is connected to the dac

This problem happened after I had used my mbp for months as music server in a stereo system.  When I have the mbp connected via USB to an external digital to analog converter (dac), audio preferences had always listed the CAD.  Now it lists only the internal speakers.  I tried to reboot, checked my UBS cable, checked my dac.  The only thing I've done recently is to create a playlist and sync a new iPod to copy the playlist we.  I don't know if that could have anything to create the problem of lack of dac, but I am a relative novice on computers.

  • Speakers for iMac via USB Dongle

So, I bought a USB 3.5 mm dongle so that I could connect the external Boston CR6 speakers to my iMac. I get sound but it is pretty low. The volume level is the same if I plug the 3.5 mm plug into the hole in the back of the iMac.

I think it is a difference of impedance, or the iMac does not have enough juice to power the speakers (which are actually very small).

Is there anyone driving experience of the external speakers, via USB or directly via the 3.5 mm to 3.5 mm port? I will order a small amp if that's the problem?

Maybe audio HDMI or optical has more power? I don't see a spec (which I understand).

    10.11.6 running.

    Thank you.

FWIW, most if not all sound cards were never intended to push the non-powered speakers. That's why most of the 'computer' speakers are powered. You will need amplification of some sort.
