  It should be possible. The ORA-27040 is

  "O/S-Error: (OS 3) The system cannot find the path specified."
  

  and the second error ORA-27040 seems to be an effect of the first.

   File create error, unable to create file
  

  Could be a permissions problem, so if you can mount the disk space windows, but cannot write to it (yet)

  Which confirms, in my view, the answer is Yes.

  I bought this new Pavilion P7 - 1227C at Costco so that I can install Windows Server 2008 r2 with Hyper-V role

  I managed to install Windows 2008 server but unable to t the wireless or ethernet to work.  I tried to use the driver 64 bit Windows 7 without success.

  I think return Costco if I can't get the network driver that will work with Windows 2008 Server R2

  The driver works for Windows 2008 Server R2.  I just need to find the drivers for the wireless card.

• Write the file size limit shared hgfs - Windows guest Linux host

  I'm running an Oracle 6.2 32-bit linux guest under a Windows XP host.  I have a shared folder between Windows and Linux comments host configuration.  The Windows host can store large files (NTFS).  I find that while I can read large files (4 Gb +) shared Linux folder I can't write large files.  Not check the exact figure, but I can not write a 2 GB file, although I can write a smaller file if the basic functionality of shared folder is there and works well.  He comes back with the error there is not enough free space if I try a large file.

  for example, I can get a DVD of 4 GB .iso file in the folder shared Linux loop and see the content but I can't write this file to the folder that is shared by the client.

  This seems to be a limitation of the VMWare tools (I use VMwareTools - 8.6.5 - 621624 to the client).

  Could not find any documentation on this limit - a few other people who have had the same problem.

  Anyone know if there is a documented limitation and if there is a work around?

  I normally don't use characteristic VMware shared folders (just to many questions over the years) instead use industry Standard actions SMB/CIFS, because I am anyway in a network industry Standard environment and suggest that he as a solution in your case, if the functionality of VMware shared folders is not offering you need/want performance.

  Use us many multi-proc machines so I was curious about the best practices for multi processor Windows 2008 conversion.  Is there the same limitations on adding and deleting of the processors were in 2003?    From my tests it looks like the PC ACPI x 86 or PC ACPI x 64 is used regardless of the number of processors that you are running.  Is this correct?    Any help from the community would be greatly appreciated.

  I know that changing of 1 to 2 and then return only Exchange not the layer HAL in 2008.  I have not tried with more than 2 CPUs.  The limitations and the changes that have been in 2003 are certainly not during the passage of 1-2 or 2-1.

  In this TechNet article by Mark Russinovich, he explains the changes in 2008.  One of the quotes:

  "One of the changes to the low level system is that Windows Server 2008 includes only a version of the kernel designed to run on multiprocessor systems. In the past, Windows used a specific version for single processor on machines with a single processor, because this version could achieve slightly better performance by omitting the necessary synchronization only code in multiprocessor environments. As hardware has become faster, the gain of performance optimizations has become negligible, and most server systems today include more than one processor, making it a useless uniprocessor version. »

  You can change the inventory module to collect using registry only. It works sometimes.

• Glossary Content tab is not displayed in .chm on Windows 2008

  We just found out that our content of the glossary does not appear in the our help .chm compiled on Windows 2008 64 bit files.

  We made sure the HHActiveX.dll was on the machine and it registered, but still does not display the content on Windows 2008 64 bit machines.  We did the same procedure on Windows 2003 and now display the content of the glossary. It also seems to work on Windows 2008 32-bit, so I guess that it is a matter of 64-bit. Is this a known issue? Is there a solution?

  We currently use RoboHelp 8 (Technical Communication Suite 2) to build the .chm files.

  Any information would be much appreciated.
