• DJI devices are not not in the filter metadata "Cameras".

  I have the current version of Lightroom 5 running on OSX 10.11.4.

  I imported dozens of images and videos on both my Osmo DJI and DJI Phantom 4 SD cards, via a card reader and yet neither are listed in the filter metadata under the list of cameras - or lenses.

  Videos and images are instead listed under "unknown Camera".

  How can I tell Lightroom about these missing cameras?

  Jpg they appear not as 'DJI Osmo' and 'DJI Phantom' but as 'HG310' and 'FC330' respectively. I'm wondering now if there is a way to change this so that they appear with the correct model numbers - or what I need to change the metadata of every time I do an import?

  These are the names of the models that DJI has chosen to incorporate into metadata, for example

  [EXIF]          Make                            : DJI
  [EXIF]          Camera Model Name               : FC330
  

  A quick Google search reveals this is how people refer to specific models.   If you don't remember the model number, just filter on the brand ("DJI") and you will see the available model numbers.

  I'm having the same error to connect to a Samsung Note 8.0 using Windows 8.1 via a USB cable. It works for a few minutes, but stops and Windows displays the error message "inaccessible device."

  While accessing metadata using Calibre, I noticed that the device has become inaccessible, when a very long path/file name was encountered.

  I've shortened the name of the directory and the name of the file which seems to be the cause of the problem and this has solved the problem.

• Removed the GPS metadata while applying the Preset on Import (Canon 6 d)

  I spoke to Canon support already and I found that my pictures on my computer keep the GPS metadata on the original photo through their Digital Photo Professional App files. However, when I imported my files on my computer, I applied my own copyright info preset and I accidentally got the box "device info" checked, which did not allow me to transfer all of these GPS metadata on import. I already deleted pictures from my camera, so I'm not able to import photos without this checked.

  How to restore the files on my Lightroom photos GPS data? Or do I go through my photos manually through DPP and translate the latitude and longitude of each photo to get the GPS data?

  Simply 'remove' (do not drive delete) the pictures of the catalogue and re-importation with an "information appliance" unchecked.

• The GPS metadata - please help with some basic questions

  I have a GPS (from GiSTEQ) encoder which I use to collect location data. I use GeoSetter to encode the image files. I have a set of jpg of my camera that I've already imported into LR 3 (under Win7 64-bit). After importing, I loaded GPS data using GeoSetter and collected the device GPS data. I know, I should have updated the jpg files before import.

  * Now that the jpg files are there, I can't figure out how to make visible the GPS metadata. I tried to update the metadata of the file and looked at various metadata views of the Panel in the library, including "EXIF and IPTC" module (my default), 'Place', "Default" and "All plug-in metadata", but nothing seems to resemble GPS fields. What I am doing wrong?

  * How can I easily I updated all jpg files of this collection to include their GPS data and not lose the metadata, develop settings, etc I already applied for in LR?

  * I usually shoot RAW - what I would do differently if I had coded the location of RAW files is coded import before or after?

  I run Geosetter and LR but only with RAW files, but I'm guessing that the same steps are necessary for JPEG files.

  1 open Geosetter and open the folder containing the images

  2. synchronize images with the GPS log file - check Geosetter finds a match for the images.

  3. get location data

  4. save results - Geosetter should prompt you if you leave without it.

  5. in LR select images and metadata for files read - this will import data from co - ADR and the location of the GPS from the image or sidecar file.

  If an image is a not all GPS areas data do not show in LR so it seems that your images do not have the data.  You can check by opening Geosetter and looking at a picture in the list of files - it will show GPS data

  If I wanted to continue to use the other oldest, I wish I could tell them apart. How can I rename them? I thought naming drives was sufficient, but these names do not appear (these are the names that a be assigned in the pane sharing preferences).

  Remove the device that you want to rename your Apple ID account. Go to system-> sharing Preferences and change the name as desired, then re - register this device with its new name.

  I've never heard a backup report bugs, however if you are interested in, you can always restore the device as good as new.

  Search the forums here, looks like a common phenomenon when connecting to a PC, but not a mac.

  You have a problem.

  It is good that you have told us you're OS x 10.7.5 (current is MacOS 10.12), because it is your problem.

  iOS 10 requires iTunes 12.5.1 or later to communicate.  iTunes 12.5.1 requres OS X 10.9.5 or later version.

  I'll be happy if everyone agreed with me on the use of apple's music. It's really too hard to remove a music of ios 10.  the new apple music wants users to play the song, then delete it; but by the old version, we could delete any song even we are not listening.

  Leave your post, we understand that you want to delete the music downloaded on your iPhone or your library, but the process is different than it was before iOS 10. The new process of removal of content is explained in the following article:

  Delete music stored on the iPhone. Touch and hold the song, album, playlist or clip. Tap on delete, and then click Delete downloads. The item is removed from the iPhone, but not icloud music library.

  So I am a new iphone 7. I had a 6 before that. Everything was fine until the day where I got the 7, I decided to try a manual on itunes for my 6 backup so that I could put this on the new phone. I use now icloud backup but before that he always did on my computer. Its itunes version 12.2.2.25 as it is the most recent, that I can run with 10.7.5 which is the newest my mac pro can work without hacking it. Again, never had a problem before it save and use it to transfer music. Anyway, I received the message "iTunes could not connect to the iPhone"iPhone"because an invalid response was received from the device." I tried 3 different usb cords. I tried both ports to the front of the computer and all 3 in the back. Abandoned and did a backup icloud. Installed on the new phone. Everything transferred except my music library which is real download of my CD via itunes. If something was wrong on the iphone 6, surely the new phone that starts with a clean slate will be very well... wrong.  Same message. Leaves through ports, cables, etc. Is it just a simple matter of ios 10 now works with my version of itunes?

  A new phone will be iOS10.  iOS10 requires iTunes 12.5.1 find which demands in turn 10.9.5 OSX or newer.  Software update checks only the updates to the current version of the system that you are running but that itself can be updated.  It may or may not be possible to upgrade your computer to the system requirements. Find your computer on the web site of http://www.everymac.com model and near the bottom of the specification of the system section, he will tell what versions of the operating system, it is able to run. If you can not run a newer system, you will not be able to sync this phone to your current computer. OSX 10.9 and 10.10 are no longer available. You can try to install the free El Capitan OSX 10.11.  El Capitan can run slower on older machines and require the additional purchase of RAM (4 GB is a minimum realistic and many recommend 8 GB).  Making a big jump in versions of system is also more likely to affect the old software.
