  You need to change the default application associated with these types of files. Go find a sample of one of these files to image using the Finder, right-click and choose "Get Info... »

  Under the "open with", select the appropriate context menu application, then click on 'change... '. »

  That will change the default application for most files of this type.

  However, some individual image files may already have another app explicitly assigned for just that file (i.e. someone said Get Info, changed 'Open with', but 'change everything... ("has NOT clicked)-for those that you need to replace the parameter 'Open with' for each individual file capricious.

  You can also watch Soxy which has a nice solution for similar types and more complex types of problems that you may experience - especially if the CS3 and CS4 are installed. (But if the above trick will fix it for you, Soxy is excessive)

  If you go into the applications folder, can you open Adobe organizer of 13 elements, or the Editor directly? The editor is well hidden. It is located in the support files folder in the Adobe Photoshop elements 13 folder:

  I've seen this problem on a number of occasion. In most cases, I found that Captivate closing and opening it again normally are good to go. If this does not work you can try

  a. rename the Captivate.dat file which can be found in the following path:
  C:\Documents and Settings\nom_utilisateur\Application Data\Adobe\Adobe Captivate
  b. loading Captivate again.

  The .dat file contains many of your personal settings, and sometimes can be damaged. Rename the original copy and loading Captivate forces the application to create a new .dat file.

  If it does not yet solve the problem you can either:

  a. re - install Captivate
  b. report the problem using the
  Feature request/Bug Report Form]
