the font size on the screen

How to change the size of the characters displayed on the current screens of k high resolution 4 k and 5 - we become old and posted letters are too small for quik and easy playback and editing. And the zoom tool is too bulky to use - I want to see the entire screen on my screen and do not have move from left to right and up and down all the time.

You can try another resolution.

Open System Preferences > monitors > display , and then click chipped.

Select the next resolution of the top.

  • How change the font size screen writing only

Thunderbird (dial) screen writing allows the choice of fonts for HTML e-mail messages, but no fonts sizes, traditional 'points '. Is there a button up/down on the screen and a configuration option for the small/medium/large, etc.

By sending me mail and reading in other popular e-mail client, I see that 'medium' is the 12-point type, which is what I want. But when I select medium as my default, the text on the screen of the writing is too small, nowhere close to 12 points by the eyeball. If I make the font bigger on the write screen so I can read it, then it is received like 14 or 18pt.

There must be a way to choose what you see on the screen of writing, regardless of what is actually encoded as HTML and sent. Of course, I can do Ctrl/Shift / +, and makes the text at the larger screen (leave image intact, thanks!), but it has tiny back the next time I open the program. Is it possible to make this text magnification "stick"?

'Medium' is reflected by how the client of the recipient is configured to display as usual. Better to leave Thunderbird in this setting.

For your own needs, however, you can set how Thunderbird displays the content for you and this applies to incoming and outgoing messages.

Under Tools | Options of, you will find a tab labeled display and under another label formatting. This is where you define how Thunderbird displays the content. Note that it conforms to HTML standards and this sets in pixels, not points.

Next to the tab view is a named another Composition where you can set the default font to use in your outgoing messages.

Note that changes are not always immediately apparent. You will need to maybe deselect and re - select a message to see changes in the settings, or at worst, close and re - open Thunderbird.

I haven't checked recently, but for a long time, Thunderbird would set some font attributes (style, size, weight, etc.), but seems to forget to actually specify the font to use. This resulted in the client of the recipient using the default font. If you are concerned about the definition of a particular font, I'd recommend the add-on of the stationery. Allows you to create templates incorporating the definitions of complete style.

I would also add that as police in the e-mail settings are optional and can be replaced by the recipient or his mail client, don't worry too much about if it's perfect. Non-standard fonts, you can have and use do not appear on another computer where they or effective equivalents, are not installed. Stick to what is called "web-safe" fonts and colors if you do not want surprises.

    Change the screen resolution

Screen resolution refers to the clarity of the text and images on your screen. At higher resolutions, items appear sharper. They appear also smaller, so more items adapted to the screen. At lower resolutions, fewer items adapted to the screen, but they are larger and easier to see. At very low resolutions, however, images may have serrated edges.

For example, 640 × 480 is a lower screen resolution, and 1600 × 1200 is higher. CRT monitors generally display a resolution of 800 × 600 or 1024 × 768. LCD monitors can better support the higher resolutions. If you can increase your screen resolution depends on the size and capability of your monitor and the type of video card you have.

Text and images are sharper and smaller at high screen resolutions
Text is larger and easier to read at low screen resolutions, but images are rasterized and number of items adapted to the screen
    1. Open display settings by clicking on the button start , by clicking on Control Panel, appearance and personalization, clickingPersonalization and then clicking display settings.

    2. Under resolution, move the slider to the desired resolution, then clickApply.

    Notes

  • Bring back the screens and fonts to normal size.

Large icons and screens - after with a projector of data using PPT my icons and all screens are much more important and it does not change with the smaller DPI setting. Can you suggest a way to make it normal again? Thank you

    Hello

It seems that your office did not automatically return to normal after unplugging from the projector. It is easy to return things well.

Right click on the desktop and select Personalize.

Click on 'set the font size"at the top left. The value ' Default scale... 96 dpi... "click on apply and OK"

Click on display settings and make sure that the screen resolution is the correct size for your monitor. This could be the cause of all the questions.

  • How to increase the font size on the screen of welcome/Login?

I use Windows 7 Premium on Acer Revo 3610 HTPC connected to a screen LCD of Toshiba 32AV502RZ (720 p). I change the font settings to use the large font size (150%), which seemed to work fine for the account administrator by default, but after that I have created the accounts of additional users for the members of my family, the elements of welcome/login screen becomes really small. I can hardly read the names of the users at a distance of 3-4 meters. Is it possible to increase the size of fonts (and possibly icons) on the welcome/Login screen? Also, is there a way to make fonts same Benoit that the option of customizing Office 150%? (Note: I don't want to reduce the resolution of the screen.) Thank you.

  • Choose the screen resolution, or customize the font size 125%?

About to buy 2 new larger monitors.

Currently have 2 20 "1920 x 1080 running to the font size of 125% of W7 - poor old eyes now need more large text/icons/menus etc, but still need to see the same or more things on screen - so more large monitors reqd.

In my opinion, to my laptop, which runs 125% or 150% can get down certain pages of fall off the screen, so can not scroll or reach the buttons.

    2 questions:

It is best to run strictly to the font size of 100% (default)?

If so, then I need to choose the size of the screen and the resolution to give the desired size of the text/icons/menus 100% font size.

For my calc, 27 "1920x1080s clocked at 100% of W7 WD gives even font size size text/icons/menus on the screen as if this 20" went to the font size of 135% of W7. This cd (135 vs 125) be the extra size that I need.

Or shd I get 27 "2560x1440s and W7 just crank up to 125% or 150%?

Personally, I use 115 dpi and 125% zoom page

This is a sweet spot for me it down personal preference and a combination of the two,

Too much dpi dpi of 125% is a little too for other programs to follow or use, I found.

But using the default dpi 100% and 150% zoom seems to just break up of clarity of the text, unless you up to dpi as my example the custom of 115% PPP,

Increase the dpi literally means that you can use the page zoom, less
