The FrameMaker 10 settings not saved PDF tag

When I need to get out a book as a PDF marked more than once, I find that I have to get the level of the logic every time, unlike my bookmark parameters, which are preserved and included paragraphs settings.

This is true regardless of whether I used the Save as or route print to PDF. This was not the case last year, when I was still using v7.2.

Y at - it a tip for making these settings stick?

(Version 10.0.2.419 on Windows 7)

I've never tried, but I think I read somewhere that you have to set these settings for the first doc in the book & it is how it is registered at the level of the book. The other thing would be to check your settings of .joboptions via Acrobat or Adobe PDF 'printer '.

I think you're looking in the root folder not your home folder.   Tilde ~ in front of the first slash indicates the folder.

    Try this...

    Quit Safari.

Open a Finder window. In the Finder menu bar, click go > go to folder

Type or copy paste the following text:

    ~/Library/preferences/com. Apple.Safari.plist

Click OK, and then move the com.apple.Safari.plist file to the trash.

    Restart Safari to test.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue

    2. in the System Configuration dialog box, click the Startup tab
    3. Locate the entries called KHALMNPR or similar and uncheck the box next to them (there may only be a)

  • Recent files Photoshop CC will not be updated and the workspace changes are not saved

    Hello

My recent files have not been updated since I upgrade my Photoshop version lates (2015.1). My work space also seems to be reset every time I open Photoshop. For example, the pen tool s always changed back to brush, wand to the Quick Selection tool, etc.. Is it possible to change this to Photoshop settings?

    Best,

    Janne

    Hi mcjannet,.

We can reproduce the same question at the end as well and our team of engineers working on the same.

However, if you are not able to see the recent file to the recent folder tab, you can try to reset the Photoshop preferences.

    Steps to follow:

To re-create the Photoshop preferences files, start the application while pressing Ctrl + Alt + Shift (Windows) or command + Option + shift (Mac OS). Then, click Yes to the message, "Delete the Adobe Photoshop settings file?"

  • Settings not saved to PDF

Hi, I use presenter 8.01 build 260 (I installed the 8.02 update but it doesn't seem to have changed anything). Everything seems to work fine when I post to my computer, but when I go to Adobe PDF and try and change the settings it there (including the path, audio and image quality), these changes are not displayed or recorded. It displays the CD quality and high (image quality) as well as the path by default, no matter what I select. Would someone has an idea what I can do to get more low-quality (and so smaller) a PDF file?

When you make changes (presentation settings > quality, or from the link in the dialog box, publish), make sure that the parameter that you are editing is for publication in PDF format. There is a drop down at the top of the dialog box to choose to make changes of workstation, Adobe Connect or PDF. If the PDF is not checked, the changes reflected in the edition in PDF format.

    @C17

    Try the following.

Hold down the Windows key and press R

In the run box, type regedit and press enter

In the registry editor, navigate to the following

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Synaptics\SynTP\Install

Inside, look for a key named DeleteUserSettingsOnUpgrade

If it is present, right click on the key and select Edit

Set the field data of the value 0 (zero) , and then click Ok.

    Close the registry editor.

Make the Synaptics setting changes you need in the usual way and save them, and then check if they are now kept after a reboot.

  • My mind is wiped out. I'll put up pages in Photoshop 9.0 to be then placed in InDesign 4.0 for professional printing. Can you help me configure the proper color settings, and what PDF preset to use. And output parameters, etc. Thanx.

My mind is wiped out. I'll implement the color pages in Photoshop 9.0 to be then placed in InDesign 4.0 for commercial printing in book form. Can you help me with the settings of color in Photoshop, that is to incorporate the color profile; convert in space work, Adobe RGB, etc. and which PDF preset to use, i.e. printing, PDF / X - 1 or 3, etc. Also, what I have to select the output settings such as the conversion of colors with the Destination or the printer deals with that. I know I asked a lot, so thanks in advance for any input or advice.

    Best regards, ScottyB34

What are the settings of your printer wants? Some may deal with sRGB some want Adobe RGB Ctrl/Cmd-Shift-k in Photoshop, then choose North Amercian prepress 2

He'll take care of the tags for you, or if sRGB is important, Norh American General Purpose 2.

Here is a summary of the settings PDF and their meaning:

When you are ready to create a PDF file from an application such as Illustrator or InDesign Adobe, we give you a list of the predefined PDF settings from which to choose. Well how do you decide which is the right choice? Well, let me explain what they do.

Let's start with the smallest file size and the name of the type of the story. It is compatible with Acrobat 6, which means that anyone who has Reader or Acrobat 6 or above will be able to open the file. Now it converts everything in sRGB color which is a common space for color monitor.

All RGB is truncated to sRGB, CMYK and spot colors also. So that means if you have a job to print, you can see some color shifts in this outgoing PDF. You must decide whether it is acceptable. He can't stand live transparency, not flattened. It downsize image content to 100 pixels per inch and this is part of how she made a reduced file size. It also uses aggressive JPEG compression of poor quality on the content of the image. So, you can see some of these rectangular JPEG artifacts.

But it is how it gives you a reduced file size, and results are appropriate to be posted online or attached to an email.

High quality printing has compatibility with Acrobat 5 and above. There is no color conversion. RGB RGB stays, rest spot, stays of CMYK CMYK spot and it supports live, not flattened transparency. It does not perform some downsampling to 300 pixels per inch. So, for example, if you placed an image which was 300 ppi and then set to scale up to 50 percent there actually a res then 600 pixels per inch.

Well, this process would take half out these pixels. Therefore, it can create larger files but that makes it suitable for in the House of printing or sending Let's say a remote office if they want to print we tell cells leaves, or brochures, or something like. It's beautiful out on an internal printer.

Print quality and high quality printing have similar names, so this may be a bit confusing, but print quality has compatibility with Acrobat 5 or higher. It converts the content of RGB to CMYK destination values according to what you specify as the destination.

It is usually SWOP, S-W-O-p. It supports live, not flattened transparency. It performs the subsampling bicubic to 300 pixels per inch and because that it keeps at least 300 pixels per inch, which means that it can create some large files, but it is suitable for professional printing.

Then we start to get into the presets named 'X '. 'X' is now for Exchange. They agree on specifications and the idea is to have a set of specifications if a PDF file is compliant to these specifications, we know it's going to be printable.

We know that imaging devices are going to treat them properly. So this goes back to 2001, and which can seem a bit old, but bear with me. PDF/X-1 has a compatibility with Acrobat 4. I know, it sounds old. It converts RGB to CMYK content, it keeps the content of good tones. It flattens transparency. Downsize it at 300 pixels per inch. It can large enough crat files if you have large size images in your project and that it is suitable for professional printing.

The idea behind X-1 is if you send a PDF file to an unknown printer, you do not know what are their capabilities, you send abroad, it will be able to be photographed on any device. No matter the age, it is, they can print. Over the years, the concepts of Exchange became more sophisticated the workflow and devices become more sophisticated.

SP PDF / X-3: 2002, remains compatible with Acrobat 4 and that means that it flattens transparency, but it does not perform any color conversion.

This means that it maintains RGB content, place remains in place, rest of CMYK CMYK. He still performed bicubic downsampling at 300 pixels per inch, and therefore, it can create large files. But this is suitable for commercial printing, if the printer signals you that it is present RGB content is correct.

PDF / X-4: 2008 is compatible with Acrobat 7 and later. See, we're getting more modern. No color conversion. RGB RGB stays, stays CMYK CMYK, spot rest spot and it supports live, not flattened transparency.

He still performs bicubic downsampling. Therefore, it can create large files because it maintains the pieces of the image to 300 pixels per inch or higher and it is suitable for commercial printing, as long as the printer tells you that RGB content is not serious and dynamic transparency is acceptable. Some older workflow does not support dynamic transparency, or they treat well, and that's why always ask. It is a special case in Illustrator, something called default Illustrator. Its compatibility is Acrobat 6 or higher.

It does not perform the color conversion, everything continues like this. It supports transparency live, not flattened, and it also contains the original, editable Illustrator file in the PDF file. It preserves layers and it may be return, can be reopened safely in Illustrator and it's really the only PDF format you can do with safely. But it can create larger files, because you sort of two files for the price of one, they sometimes get huge.

So what predefined PDF is Right For You? Well, if you want to send for printing, the first thing you should do is to ask your printer how they want the created PDF.

They should be able to give you the plug for the creation of the PDF file. They may be able to give you job options files you can simply import and use as your preset target. But if it's a stranger the printer or the printer for some reason any said, well, I don't know, just make a PDF and this happens, well, choose the lowest common denominator to the PDF/X-1 test. Anyone can image that. If it is a more modern printer and up to date, especially if you send it to someone who uses digital presses, PDF/X-4 should be safe.

I always go back to point one, ask the printer. If you send it as an attachment or you're going to post online, well, smaller size of file is a pretty clear choice. But remember this, you can start with one of these predefined parameters, and you can always edit it to customize your specific needs. So get to know the presets, understand the destiny of the PDF you create, and then make the best PDF that you can.

  • User (and files) account settings not saved at shutdown

Hi, I recently got Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit installed on my PC of house built... the problem I run into is that whenever I stop, when I turn it on again it is still as if it were my first time logging into the user account (I get the Welcome Center window, none of my settings to before I stop were saved)... even though I installed all programs still appear to be installed.

Also, I'm a little confused about how the "personal file" my account user works (I mean the folder that opens when I click on "Brian" in the start menu, in the upper right).  First of all, my settings, all files in there seem to have erased when I stopped (excluding the makings of the sample).  Second, this personal file does not seem to be the same folder as I get to by going to computer > disc Local (c) > users > Brian 1; even if they are both set in place with the default subfolders (photos, music, video etc.).

Thus, the settings and files in the personal folder for my user expect to get erased on shutdown... does anyone have a solution for this?

    I appreciate the help!

    Thank you
    Brian

Your original user is damaged. Make a new user account and copy the data from the old account to the new. After you have all your stuff, you can delete the old damaged account.

User - recommended configuration (Vista and Win7) accounts

You absolutely don't want to have only one user account. As XP and all other Windows 7, Vista, and modern operating systems are operating systems multi-user with integrated system of accounts as default Administrator and comments. These accounts should be left alone because they are part of the structure of the operating system.

In particular, you do not want account only one user with administrator privileges on Vista and Windows 7 because the administrator account integrated (normally only used in emergencies) is disabled by default. If you use as an administrator for your daily work, and this account is corrupt, things will be difficult. It is not impossible to activate the built-in administrator to rescue things, but it may require more work you want to do. Better not to get into a bad situation at first.

The user account that is for your daily work must be a Standard user, with the extra administrative user (call it something like 'CompAdmin' or 'Tech' or similar) only it for elevation purposes. As a user Standard is recommended for security reasons and will help protect your computer against infections. After you have created "CompAdmin", connect to it and change your normal user account Standard. Then log on to your regular account.

If you want to go directly to the desktop and ignore the Welcome screen with the icons of the user accounts, you can do this:

Start Orb > Search box > type: netplwiz [Enter]
Click continue (or provide an administrator password) when you are prompted by UAC

Uncheck "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer". Select a user account to connect automatically by clicking on the account you want to highlight and press OK. Enter the password for this user account (when it exists) when you are prompted. Leave blank if there is no password (null). MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  • FF, version the most recent is not saving my tabs pinned to the exit. Why? How can I fix it? As you can imagine, it's pretty frustrating.

    Hello
I have Win7 w / updated version of FF, and their output, I lose my pinned tabs. How can I fix it? It doesn't seem to be a setting that I can or has changed in the Options area.
    Thank you
    Tom

If you mean when you right-click on a tab and select "Show tab App" (to the top of the menu) then he must usually save them in the output. However if they not be saved:

1 picked a couple of sites to mark as App Tabs, for example Twitter, Gmail, Facebook

    2. right click on each one and select the option 'Show as App tab' (to the top of the menu)

    3. close Firefox

    4. Repeat steps 1-3 several times

    5. after a couple of times, they appear as tabs in the application when you start Firefox

    Jon,
Download ATI Catalyst Control Center, which includes the updated drivers for your card, of the following:
    http://game.AMD.com/us-en/drivers_catalyst.aspx?p=Vista64/common-Vista64

After installing the software and restarted, you can access their software by clicking on start-> all programs-> Catalyst Control Center, click on CCC
Then adjust your settings of dual monitor since the display under chart type Manager, here you can set the desktop, the refresh rate resolution and you want 1 of a possible 5 modes (press F1 to get help with their applicaton) display. Make sure that save you after having selected the desired configuration. • PRESETS AND SETTINGS NOT SAVED WITH CC MEMBERSHIP? !!

CC all upgrade 2015.5 but deleted each preset and setting I had. It is gone. I found one of the things that made membership CC sync settings. Now I have to start over. Thank you, Adobe.

    This isn't an answer!

2015 to 2015.5 Adobe upgrade did NOT go to the previous settings as expected. In addition, there is no previous settings to recover because the previous settings are CLEARED!

In my original post, I was trying to say that I thought that a CC subscription meant that the parameters were stored in the cloud so that they could be restored automatically if they have been lost. I discovered that I was wrong.

Apparently, I is not that clear in my original post.

There is no possible response except to the WARN others that Adobe can and can remove all your settings at any time.
