The GPU and PSU upgrade.

Alright. Well, I'm trying to upgrade my computer which is a HP Pavilion p6823w.

http://h20000.www2.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/document.jsp?lang=es&CC=ve&TaskID=120&prodSeriesId=...

I'm going to install a new graphics card and the power supply.  I don't really know many of these things, but I get.

All I really need to know is whether it will work or not.

Graphics card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125417

Power supply: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139027

Will this work?

And also. Are there strings I have to buy or something special to help out these things?

Please let me know! Thank you

The Corsair PSU should adapt and work without problem. The 3.0 PCIe x 16 video should also work, but because x 16 card mother slot is a v2.0 there is potential for issues to arise. Please read the guide to selection of video cards Big_Dave for more information.

Yes, it seems that everything should play nice. The CX600 Corsair is known to fit the cases most, HP consumer computer office, of which your p6654y and it is strongly recommended. The AMD HDX850WFK42GM is a processor of Deneb TDP of 95 watts, so it should work on your computer. Geforce GTX660, while it is a little big, must match your computer... Make sure you just measure along the slot PCIe graphic for obstructions.

  • Pavilion 550-279na: GPU and PSU upgrade for Pavilion 550-279

    Hello

I have a HP Pavilion 550-279na. While it fits most of my needs, I enjoy the occasional game and found that the GPU that is it came with, the Radeon R5 330 does not offer enough "oomph".

    http://support.HP.com/GB-en/document/c04949172

I had a quick glance and think that the Nvidia GTX 750ti would probably answer my needs.

Don't you think that this card would fit in my PC?

Also, I guess 180W POWER supply that it came with is not sufficient to run a faster GPU, you have any recommendations on the size or model that would suit the Pavilion.

My apologies if these are very secular issues, my knowledge of material isn't at the height!

    Thanks for any help.

    Charlie

    Greetings,

Your PC has the correct UEFI BIOS.

The GTX 750Ti requires a minimum 300 Watt power supply.

You must measure the space available along the existing graphics card and compare it to the length of the backup. The 750 is 5.7 inches long. The 750 is a dual slot card. Make sure you have room and you can check out a second plate of Panel rear I/O to install the card.

It must fit unless it's really tight in your chassis with the existing card.

Same problem with the power supply. Verify that you can install a power supply 350 Watt or 400 watts.

I prefer modular Corsair or Seasonic power switching.

Make sure that you disable secure boot and enable the legacy boot in the BIOS.

Also to uninstall all of the AMD graphics drivers and software before you install the card GTX 750.

    See you soon!

  • The upgrade GPU and PSU for Optiplex 9020, baffled by connector 8 pins. !!!

Hi, I have a game related question if you want.

I recently acquired a brand new 9020, was surprised by the performance and was eagerly expected put in my old Redeon HD 5770. However, I was faced with the question of the connectors on the motherbioard is unfamiliar and non-standard. My old SPU 650w had a 4 pins of connector 8 pin, just like your stupid mothers, but they don't reach. The expected 20 "-24"-pin connectors were nowhere to be seen, so I couldn't use these either. " I just talk about an oversight and that my diet Huntkey Titan 650 has simply need an extension lead to join the mother socket, or I'm screwed? The PC was bought for me by my University, and I didn't have the choice of the plug.

It is not possible to upgrade the GPU, sorry and SLi for desktop computers, not for laptops.

Hello, I want to k now can I put my laptop (Pavilion 15-n201ax) gpu and ram? Thanks in advance!

Number on the GPU. You already have the top of the page mother/processor board and there is no way to add or replace it with a better graphics in any system. On memory, you have 8 GB. This is the Manual:

    Link repair manuals

Officially, the maximum is 12 concerts but here users have reported success with 16. You do not have an easily accessible memory Bay and you should have an open memory slot to add a SO-DIMM DDR3L-1600 to upgrade memory. I seriously doubt you will see much of a difference, but I have 16 gigs in my laptop then I say, go ahead.

  • The SSD and RAM upgrade

I have the 13-inch Retina Display early 2015 model. It contains 128 GB SSD and 8 GB of RAM.

I wanted to update both of them. Is this possible? I agree with HARD drive even if that is supported. 128 GB is not enough for me actually.

    Help, please.

Without the SSD and RAM are both not upgradable.

One option is to sell your computer and use the money to buy a new one with the features you need.

There are two options to add an HD card to your card HD slot. Both options will be flush with the case.

  • Change the GPU and power supply turns it off a Windows OEM?

So basically I want to replace my graphics card with a new and do I need to switch to the diet. Modification of the power supply and the GPU will disable my Windows OEM?

  • Pavilion dv7t-3300: weird behavior after adding the SSD and RAM upgrade

Has just added a new HD SSD to my note as "disk 1"(the former one is 'disk 0', he has a Win. " 8.1 works). Installed Win. 10 in the new drive and everything has worked well so far. I tried to upgrade the memory, so I bought two Crucial DDR3 1333 with 8 GB memory each, the previos configuration were two 2 GB memory (4 GB total).

The question is: If you use a single memory (8 GB) everything looks Ok. If I add the other (16 GB total), the new SSD is not recognized, but the old man works as usual. The new drive is not yet recognized after botting from the former (not even from the Disk Manager). Already tried to drag the disks with no luck. There seems to be something with the memory, since everything works with a memory of 8 GB or with two 2 GB memory, but with two memoirs of 8Gb the new SSD seems to be dead

Advice or similar experiences? Is there something that I am missing?

So much worse... the SSD seems to be broken or something similar. Does not work on the other PC, then... I guess that this has nothing to do with the memory

BTW, the 16 GB are works fine

    Hello

    1. don't you cannot replace the video card. The series has only 2 options (depending on the CPU):

    Switchable discrete graphics:

    • N16P-GT from NVIDIA (GeForce 950 M) up to 4096 MB of dedicated video memory (256Mx16 DDR3 900 MHz x 8 PCs, 1 GHz, 900 MHz bridge) (Skylake-H)

  • Pavilion n201ax: upgrading the GPU, the CPU and the RAM of my laptop n201ax

Maybe it's a very long post, but please answer because I really need answers to each of these questions and I really want to upgrade my laptop to the best configuration, if I CAN.

Let me make this clear first.

    * In the next contained the words 'this portable' always refers to Hp Pavilion 15-n201ax *.
Good then everything first I read somewhere that the maximum Ram of this laptop can be expanded up to 16 GB, but i came up with this link here-

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/hardware-upgrades-replacements/I-would-like-to-upgrade-memory-of-my-lap...

And then I came to know that it can only be upgraded to 12 GB page chapter 1 Description this Guide - #2

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c04438537.PDF

First of all I would like to ask, is that,

    1. can I buy a RAM of any brand but the same 1600 mhz clock speed ofc IE?, then can I go to the GSkill 1600 Mhz DDR3 4 GB of ram?

    2. the size matter for respective locations? or I can install the 8 GB and 4 GB of ram in any other slots?

So this was all about the RAM

But I need to know if I can change the discrete GPU and the APU of this laptop

3 and if yes - which are compatible mobile GPU that I can install by removing the previous one ie AMD 8600 M (for example graphics R9, R7 and R5 for laptop)

4 and who are the compatible APU I can install by removing the APU previous IE AMD APU A10 - 4655 M (for example the AMD FX APU for laptops)

    5. If I can upgrade the GPU and APU both please tell makes compatibility issues? as only a specific GPU can work with a specific APU IE as in this laptop AMD APU A10 - 4655M + AMD 8600 M GPU.

    Please help me, please.

    Thanks in advance.

    Pavilion 15-n201ax?

We may need to refer to the owner's manual here:

    Your repair manuals

Officially, it supports only 12 concerts. Your model has a single module of 8 GB if you have an open slot. Unofficially, users here can have reported that add another 8 GB for a total of 16 concerts will work fine. It's something you take the risk of making but it is not official.

The part numbers for the appropriate memory are listed on page 42. You must DDR3L-1600 SO-DIMM.

If you want to go formal, the 4 GB module is: 691740-001

    Is this on amazon.com:

    http://www.Amazon.com/HP-691740-001-1600MHz-PC3L-12800-memory/DP/B00CI08FX4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&QID=1437948185&SR=8-1&keywords=691740-001

You just leave the concert 8 where it is and add the new memory into the open slot.

On your laptop model, the GPU/APU is soldered to the motherboard. In order to make any upgrade, you will need to buy a new motherboard. You have an idea together wrong GPU/APU can be removed and replaced and this is incorrect. The term APU refers to a processor that has integrated video, so the whole issue on the compatibility between the GPU and APU just missing the mark. On some systems, the GPU/APU is socketed and can be replaced which is used to replace/upgrade the processor and the video function but as stated above, on your this involves pulling and replacing the entire motherboard.

    There is available a little better/graphics processor using AMD A10 - 5745M 8670 M (2.9 GHz/2.1 GHz, 2 GB L2, 1333 MHz DDR3L Quad 25W) for use with Standard Windows. The part of the motherboard is 734824-501

HP does not store the Council, but I found this line:

    http://www.discounteddealz.com/product.asp?Itemid=327740&gclid=CO78y6rn-cYCFQmCaQodOP0GLQ

Never heard of this seller and can not be a guarantor, but the price is very reasonable for this Council. I was expecting to be a little more makes me wonder about this seller a little. I would advise to keep what you have. He is very strong for AMD and the upgrade to the Commission on the A10-5745 will result in only a very small increase in performance to a very high cost in money and efforts.
