The gray image - save as pdf - CMYK

Hi all

I am trying to convert the gray image to grayscale pdf with Save as option. Once done the procedure, the pdf file after CMYK mode (verified in print in Acrobat production method) below.

Guide to, how to clear this problem.

Original image:

Step 1: converted to gray

Screen shot 2015-04-08 at 10.14.55 AM.png

Step 2: Save as pdf with few options

Screen shot 2015-04-08 at 10.15.14 AM.png

Step 3: setting of pdf

Screen shot 2015-04-08 at 10.15.33 AM.png

Step 4: Verify in acrobat, this occurs for the CMYK mode

Screen shot 2015-04-08 at 10.16.00 AM.png

But I need grayscale mode (only for black. (Black once only wide, no need to display the image).

In my test, using shades of gray and high print quality, the PDF file contains a gray scale,

not a CMYK image, found by PDF analysis, image on the right.

IMO, your test is bad. Your PDF file is grayscale, but the profile of your simulation is

a CMYK profile, as in the image on the left.

In such a case, a conversion is simulated. It would be correct to use a grey profile

as a simulation profile, but this type of test does not reveal what kind of image the

PDF file contains.

    If you want this feature, you will need to uninstall the latest version & reinstall the old version of the Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distributiondrive.

  • JavaScript to invite the user to save in PDF format

    I make the changes with the code for the file. I want the user to be prompted to save as a file .ai first. I have that down. Now, I'm eager to have the user immediately prompted to save as pdf with only the option optimize for fast web view selected. I think it's an adobe built-in smallest file size.

    The reason for wanting the guest is because I want to save the files in 2 different places.

    Here is my code so far...

    var doc = app.activeDocument;
    // Save as .ai file
    var fileName = doc.fullName;
    var thisFile = new File(fileName);
    var saveFile = thisFile.saveDlg();
    doc.saveAs (saveFile);

    // Save as .pdf file
    var pdfSaveOptions = new PDFSaveOptions();
    pdfSaveOptions.pDFXStandard=PDFXStandard.PDFXNONE;
    pdfSaveOptions.compatibility = PDFCompatibility.ACROBAT5;
    pdfSaveOptions.preserveEditability = false;

    var pdfFile = new File(fileName);
    doc.saveAs(pdfFile, pdfSaveOptions);

    HAVE CS4 Windows 7 64 bit

    the folder structure is already existing?

    If so, things are simple.

    If the name and the number are in the file you could draw that from the entry rather then manual doc to guests.

    (Note that there is no test to check the folders exist etc...)

    var job = prompt("Enter Job Name");
    var num = prompt("Enter Job Number");
    aiFile = "D:\\"+job+"\\"+num+"\\AI\\Schematic.ai"
    pdfFile = "D:\\"+job+"\\"+num+"\\PDF\\Schematic.pdf"

    var newaiFile = new File(aiFile);
    var doc = app.activeDocument;
    doc.saveAs (newaiFile);

    var pdfOpts = new PDFSaveOptions();
    pdfOpts.pDFXStandard=PDFXStandard.PDFXNONE;
    pdfOpts.compatibility = PDFCompatibility.ACROBAT5;
    pdfOpts.preserveEditability = false;
    var newpdfFile = new File(pdfFile);
    doc.saveAs(newpdfFile, pdfOpts);

    If you want the script to create the folders so it is a little more difficult.

    JavaScript will not do that, and you need another work autour.

    something like that...

    if (Folder(qfolder).exists){
    app.activeDocument.saveAs( saveName, saveOpts );
    }else{
               //alert("about to try bat");
               batpath= 'call "C:\\Adobe Scripts\\MakeDirectory.bat"';
                battemp = new File("C:\\Adobe Scripts\\tempBAT.bat");
                battemp.open("w");
                battemp.writeln(batpath + " " + qfolder);
                battemp.close();
                battemp.execute();
             //alert("Had to Create Folder, Please press OK to continue...");
                $.setTimeout = function(func, time) {
                        $.sleep(time);
                        func();
                };
             $.setTimeout(function(){ app.activeDocument.saveAs( saveName, saveOpts )},200);
             }
    }

    the MakeDirectory.bat is just:

    ECHO OFF
    CLS

    IF %1=="" GOTO BLANK

    SET savepath=%*
    MKDIR %savepath%
    GOTO FINISH

    :Blank
    ECHO No Folder provided
    GOTO FINISH

    :FINISH

    the tempBat.bat is used to call the MakeDirectory.bat with the name of the file as an argument.

    Looks like you want to change the configuration for the "Images" in the Optimizer profile you use.
    Avoid compression with loss (no compression "jpeg"). Select 'quality '. Avoid subsampling.

  • PDF stupid question: what is the difference between 'Save as PDF' and printing to PDF "printer"?

    Is there a difference in quality?

    The "save under" seems to distill, but if I select 'Print Document' and select 'Adobe PDF' as the printer, it also seems to work OK, although I sometimes get a "Times" font unavailable, will be replaced by "Times New Roman", although I can't find any reference to "the times" in my book.

    Is there an advantage to running distilled?

    They are essentially the same - one is traditionally more stable (print) than the other (save as).

  • Can we move that a backup of the Windows Image to a different drive location years still be able to use it to restore?

    I did a Windows 'backup system image"when first of all, I got my new computer and put it on a hard drive internal, designated as"D", which was intended to be used for data. I tried to do a restore, and although very "fussy" has been able to do.

    The image of the system take much space and if I had to do over again I would have put somewhere else.

    I have read that the image cannot be moved to another location or it will no longer be abel to to beused to restore from. Is this true?

    (1) can I move the image of the system upward (and parent folders he created) to another drive (preferably external) and still be able to restore from it if necessary?

    (2) can I move the image of the system upward (and parent folders he created) to another drive (preferably external) and move them back the same origin drve and still be able to restore from them if necessary.

    (3) the optimum would be a stand-alone backup on external media (such as the blu - ray, DVD, etc.) to restore from scratch, if necessary.

    I use Windows 7 64-bit.

    Thanks in advance.

    You can move your images wherever you want, but to restore from them, the WindowsImageBackup folder should be moved to the root of a drive, so you can move it to

    J:\WindowsImageBackup

    for example.  J: didn't need to be the drive that the image was made for the first time on.

    I found confusing indications that Windows might support images being elsewhere as the image during the restoration list would identify the correct date & time for the last image on the disc.  However, it would then only work with an image that I grow in X:\WindowsImageBackup as explained above.

    I managed my images using a subfolder of H:\ J:\ or O:\ called ImagesWin7, which itself has 20120205 1126 etc. subfolders.  I put some descriptive info I want in the relevant subfolder so I can see key information easily if I want to restore.  Then, I create the image & move this folder WindowsImageBackup, so I find myself with O:\ImagesWin7\20120205 1126\WindowsImageBackup and I also have a 1126\Explanation.txt of O:\ImagesWin7\20120205 of the text file that contains my notes on what I was just doing or was about to do on the system.

    What is resolved issues for you?  If this isn't the case, please let me know your remaining questions.

    It IS a big help (since this is exactly what I was trying to accomplish).

    Education path for my pictures of system includes a machine name

    (i.e. the 170453\ J:\WindowsImageBackup\MachineName\Backup 2010-12-03)

    Can I have added the word "Backup" myself as a descriptor that I don't remember.

    I also have added the subfolder/directory "MachineName" myself. I don't remember.

    Will have to start from scratch and create another backup of WindowsImage (without any writing help) and see what is the path for this image. Then attempt to restore etc and if it works then try again restore one of my old backups.

    It may be I made the backup unusable images (even if they are visible for the restore program) by changing the path and / / or folder names. Although it seems that you have also done this with your "imagesWin" directory You replace the image backup in the root directory, and then restore it?

    The only reason for all this must be able to reach and (if necessary access and restore from) one of the first images saves when the machine was new, blank before installing the software ay etc. Easier to make a bare metal restore to install Win7 from scratch, load the drivers and configure etc.

    As mentioned above, I now use ShadowProtect Desktop 4 for backups image system (including incremental images) and have found that it is great (and images can be moved to any directoyr and bootable recovery environment will restore bare metal from any location, USB, DVD, same network etc.

    Better documentation of Windows would have certainly been useful,

    Thanksfor your ideas

  • Save as PDF/Google Cloud Print

    I have 2 shelves Samsung Galaxy (tab 2 and tab 4), 4.1.2 Android running one, and 4.4.2 running.  Both have Adobe Acrobat Reader version 16.2. Both are signed to the same Google account.

    On the most recent tablet, select print gives me a dialog box with the option to save in PDF format.

    On the older tablet, selecting printing takes me to a login page for Google Cloud Print.

    I can't figure how to get rid of the Google Cloud Print option. Google Cloud Print (the application) is not installed on the tablet. I re-installed Adobe and is about to format the tablet to see if that changes.

    I want to just save as PDF locally on the two tablets.

    Hello

    Registration as a PDF for Google Cloud Print option is only available for Android versions 4.4 and above. Layout of the tablet or reinstall the application would not help and you will lose important data. I would advise against it. All annotated with Adobe Acrobat files are saved in their original location. You try to save in a different location using 'Save As PDF '?

  • Why don't my Lightroom CC "Save as PDF"?

    On two Macs, I can't 'Save as PDF' in the sense of Lightroom CC Module. My iMac is running my MacBook Pro Yosemite and El Capitan. When I access the context menu in PDF and select 'Save as PDF' or 'Open PDF in Viewer', nothing happens. The file is not registered anywhere as a PDF file or a PDF to open in preview. I am under Lightroom CC 2015.3 Release. I've linked to different pictures and I swear it worked I spent. Any idea what I might be doing wrong - o n computers?

    Printer configure only. Then, in the print task panel, select print to: printer and click Print or printer. The printer button will bring to the top of the window to Setup again and allow you to make changes. The print button starts the print job (save as PDF) with no popup of installation. The window "save PDF file under ' should appear and prompt you to enter a file name and the destination of the file. This is the behavior I see with Adobe Acrobat Pro installed, but it should work the same with any PDF printer driver.

    A "quick" fix that worked for me was to uninstall Adobe... and download Adobe Reader 11.0 installation base.

    Then download each individual updates and run them sequentially.

    I installed back to the last update of security which is version 08 and were able to register under normal operations.

    You will need to disable the automatic updates to keep up with the 08 version, until Adobe fixes this problem in a future release.

    Good possibility your PDF is complex, using transparency, perhaps, and your friend (s) with the Mac uses an excerpt to see. Make sure she's using Acrobat or Adobe Reader (FREE) before doing anything else.
