  • Disable the opening of PDF files in the browser.

    Hi guys,.

I'm deploying DC to my environment, but only one requirement is disable the opening of PDF files in I.e.

The only work to date is to * manually * disable the Adobe PDF Reader add-on in IE11.

    I tried:

    1. GPO to disable Adobe PDF Reader. The add-on comes as disabled, but a PDF file will always open in IE.

    2. the HKCU entry for bBrowserIntegration = 0. It makes no difference.

The second step is the only one I've ever used for reader XI and it satisfied my needs. Someone at - it run in this yet? It's really weird that manually disabling the addon works (all PDFs pop out of drive) but if I re - enable and disable then via GPO, the opening of PDF files in the browser.

Please provide detailed information about your question.

Could you please try to uninstall and reinstall MS Reader from the link mentioned below:

Then, try to disable the opening of PDF files in the browser after you follow the instructions as indicated in the link of doc KB:

    Hello

Please provide us with more specific information on the issue. Your post is a bit confusing.

If you need to open the PDF files, you will need to install a PDF reader.

If you try to print in PDF format, you must install Adobe Reader.

  • can I copy of content impossible when making the word into pdf file conversion?

When I copy my signature (for paper copies) on a wordfile and I want it to be impossible for third parties to recover from the pdf file.

    How can I achieve this?

    Hi frankv.

This isn't something that you can do during the conversion process. But with Acrobat, you can apply file security constraints, what would prevent people who look at the PDF of the copy of the content of the PDF file. See Acrobat help | Securing PDF files with passwords for more information. If you do not have Acrobat, we invite you to give it a try. You can download a 30 day trial of http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html.

  • get the conversion failed on the export of PDF files.

get the conversion failed on the export of PDF files.

    Hi jfcobb999,

I'm sorry that you are having problems, file conversion. You convert the web interface, or through Adobe Reader? You have a large number of files in the folder root of your list of files on Acrobat.com?

    Try to start these things:

    • Empty the cache of the browser, and then try again.
    • Use another browser.
    • Make sure the drive is up-to-date by selecting help > check for updates.
    • If you have a large number of files on Acrobat.com, some of them move in a subfolder.

Please let us know how it goes.

    Best,

    Sara

    Cannot display PDF files

You must install a PDF reader to open and view PDF files.
Are two of the most popular to install Acrobat Reader or Foxit Reader - so you will be able to view the PDF files.

    Both are free:

  • Work around the window "save PDF file under ' registration

In Adobe Acrobat Professional 10, is there a way to bypass the window "save PDF file under ' and have just the file save as the same file name or a different file name?  Then once I select 'Adobe PDF' printer and click Print, I would like that the file just to save in the same directory, in that it is.  I don't care if it overwrites the existing file or creates a new file.

The Ride: I'm using the portfolio feature, then using the configuration of the printer for each file to reduce by 20%.  Using the print to pdf feature, I'm resave files reduced.  2000 files in the portfolio, and I don't want to see this Save As pop-up 2000 times.

In the printer preferences, cut request file name.

  • How to get the path of PDF file?

    Hello

    Adobe Livecycle ES2 V9

Here is the code that I currently use (postSave):

    var fileName = event.target.documentFileName;

at this point, fileName is (myForm.pdf), there is no path to the file

    fileName = fileName.substring (0, fileName.indexOf("."));

    xfa.host.exportData (".") ("/" + name + ".xml", 0);

In fact, when the user saves the document PDF an XML file is automatically saved in the same directory with the same name as the PDF file.

The problem is event.target.documentFileName only gets the pdf and the extension (ex: site_checklist.pdf)

If the client opens two or more PDF files, it tries to export the XML file in the directory of the first open PDF file (or the last, it have not narrowed down).

How can I get the path of the current PDF (not PDF more recently opened)?

I can find no documentation for .documentFileName, I tried documentFilePath too.

The property you are looking for is the 'path' property: http://livedocs.adobe.com/acrobat_sdk/9.1/Acrobat9_1_HTMLHelp/JS_API_AcroJS.88.411.html

  • Why plugin - container.exe crash so often during the closing of PDF files?

When I load multiple PDF files in Firefox to check their content for the errors one by one, closing a tab PDF to reveal another tab PDF very often causes plugin - container.exe planting, which means I have to reload each tab PDF remaining to display the remaining files. This of course defeated the purpose to open more than one at the time and adds about 5 times because the number of clicks to the whole process because I erase the mistake and reload each page, then it might happen again or not. It produced whenever I close a PDF file, but about 1/4 times.

I know that I have two versions of Acrobat installed (9.5.5 of Acrobat and Reader 11.0.10) and therefore two Firefox plugins, but for the record that this same thing happening on other computers that just have Reader or simply Acrobat, this isn't a matter of conflicting plugins. Although I noticed that you are not allowed to disable one or the other - a disable disables both. As a first step, it does not appear, but if you reload the plugins page, you will see that the two are actually off.

Windows coughs following error report when the plugin - container.exe grave failure, but Firefox says nothing, I guess because the plugin-container is a stand-alone application:

  • Schedule an automated process to reduce the size of PDF files

I am trying to find a way to automate a process which would take place every night at a certain time. PDF files is saved by my colleagues in a certain folder for printing purposes. My job is to take these files and reduce their consumption of the web size. Currently, I have to do it manually, which is a bit of a problem because these files come very late in the night.

The optimal goal would put in place a process that allow to monitor a folder and automatically save any PDF placed in said file in a file size reduced. Using the Action Wizard in Acrobat XI, I can't find a way to set up to run automatically.

If anyone has any information on how to accomplish this task, I would be extremely grateful.

You may not (and are not allowed to) use Acrobat in this way. You will need to

looking for a lot more robust application of treatment.
