I am fully aware of how I have to delete the history (and Top Sites):
Settings-> privacy-> clear-> private data (select all) clear dataAfter doing this, I have not even alert "PrivΘes deleted" pop up, but it has no effect. All sites of history and high are still there.
I just UN - and reinstalled the app of the in-game store, so there should be no modules are no longer. Previously, I had installed "CleanQuit" app.

DieterHi again,
I just watched another question, I've had with entries Add on endangered in the menu. I found this is the bug 832990.
After you turn off the checkbox 'do not keep activities' in the developer settings, I'm now able to clear history as it should!

Whenever a new page is opened, the sidebar of history is too, showing all the sites I had visited. My version of Firefox is updated 6.0.2 and I am on Windows 7.
Thank you
Lizzie
You are welcome.
Firefox sometimes automatically recovers from these problems once a few reboots or you can open another window.

Hi, I want to add a link back to a button in the muse. Any ideas? thinking that I'll have to add the following < a href = "javascript:history.back ()" > < /a > and return code in a text editor by hand after I exported the site in html format.
No need to code the hand something to do.
Create your button or link just as you would for any button or link.
Click on your button
In the hyperlinks tool simply add javascript:history.back()

Hello karim138, firefox will not save your passwords when you put to execution in permanent private browsing mode ("never remember history" in options > Privacy panel).

disable the security check of the site
I am opposed to safety in real life and in particular with regard to my computers and software - I want to try to do what I want to do and I do not care less what are the consequences, without worrying. Sooner or later I'll manage to do what I decided to do, and as soon as I did, I no longer care about all of the consequences no matter what.
Webistes security certificatres in any mode of verification is a BUG major, as far as I'm concerned. I can't deal with this somehow acceptable for me other than these:
1 abolish the world ptactice
2 abolish its use regarding me
3 abolish its use in what concerns me but gives me the opportunity to add a site/situation where I COULD find some use in verification which I sm send or receive information with sharing userprivileges with etc.
No point in trying to change your decision.
I hope that you have studied risk and were well rehearsed restoration or mitigation measures, daily backups may be adapted to the restorations of re-usable and perhaps using a virtual machine for your online activities unsafe.
Just use the HTTP version of sites instead of the HTTPS version and there is no certificate to worry. By default Firefox will connect you to an HTTPS site if you have previously used https, but you can use forget this site to access the http version (which also removes the history & cookies)
- Explanation of the purpose of HTTPS, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Https
- Delete websites suggestions of the Awesome Bar_clearing-all-items-for-a-single-site
- An explanation of some Firefox security on the site information How do I know if my connection to a Web site is secure?
- This explains how to turn on one of the systems of security
Enable SSL to fix the Firefox cannot connect securely error message
On the other hand, it shows How to stop
Besides, even Google search uses https by default on Firefox. Prevent this and you are most likely too get directed to incorrect sites by the result of your search.
You are free to do such things if that's what you like. However, this is not a forum to discuss changes in development or functionality of firefox and certainly not to change the way the web works.
Firefox has also to phishing and attack warning enabled by default. Turn again the stop if you want, all they do is warn you and will give you the ability to override any warning. Especially if you use http only you can leave this feature enabled.

I used to frequent a site RPing until two days earlier Sunday, January 26, 2014. After talking with the admin of the Site, I was told that the site is no longer recognized me as a person "legitimate." I passed through all the normal steps, updated, uninstall and reinstall Firefox, delete cookies and history, removed the proxy for the connection (and all other proxy options) and even by restarting the computer. I tried to access the site on other browsers, IE and Chrome and it works great! I still have other friends who can continue to use the site on Firefox! I don't know how to solve the problem, and I hate Chrome/IE with a passion, so I pray there is a way to solve this problem and I would like to use Firefox again for the site. Regarding the error I get whenever I try to access the site, it reads. "The requested URL '(Site address)' could not be found or is not available. Please check the spelling or try again later. »
Create a new profile as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problems.
See "create a profile":
- http://KB.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic_-_Firefox#Profile_issues
If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a profile in the new profile, but be careful not to copy files corrupted to avoid transporting on the problem.

As suggested by Firefox, I've cleared my history and cache. Also, I downloaded and run one of the programs malicious applications recommended Firefox. I also deleted Firefox my firewall and then added it back as suggested by Firefox. I have no problem accessing the site using Internet Explorer.
HTTPS Everywhere makes it easy for you to move site to a secure connection. It's something that you can yourself on the sites where you are displaying sensitive information, so it automates this for you, but I think that it is not essential.
If you love the comfort, the extension has a function to create your own rules, as described on https://www.eff.org/https-everywhere/rulesets. It sounds a little complicated...

How I stay connected in the sites of the closing of Firefox?
I tried changing the settings, but even if the passwords and user ID are stored, I still have to connect whenever I have access to the Internet.
In General, Web sites you (your browser) recognized by cookies, they put. They do not always keep your session open indefinitely, but if you can be recognized by the site in other browsers, it should also work in Firefox.
So that these cookies to persist between sessions, the site must first have the permission to set a persistent cookie. When you view the site, you can check its permissions by using one of these methods:"
- Right click > View Page Info > permissions
- Menu Tools > Page Info > permissions
Under set "cookies", you want to allow.
If you have changed this setting, then you can dΘfinir of fresh cookies with new extended expiration dates. Save any work you do on the site, then go to:
- Right click > View Page Info > Security > the button "View Cookies" or
- Menu Tools > Page Info > Security > button "show the Cookies".
Clear all cookies to put there, close the dialog box, reload the page and sign in again. Now you have the cookies that should last.
The next thing is to make sure that cookies are not being erase from Firefox to stop, an add-on or external security/privacy software.
For a built-in feature of Firefox, you can see here:
the button Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) > Options > privacy
If the setting of the story is "conservation rules: don't forget history" then cookies must not be cleaned. If the parameter is "conservation rules: use the custom settings for history" then you can manually adjust the function 'Clear history of Firefox closing' (either round or to ensure that it is not clear cookies).
For the Add - Ons, though some seem to relate to cookies, you may need to set their parameters.
For external software, it varies widely that your security software is your Firefox settings. If you think that this could be a problem, what software are you using.
Edit: I should mention that the foregoing does not apply to the private browsing mode. You cannot store cookies through private browsing sessions.

Upgrade to this version but the new page tab didn't save my most visited sites, as is the intention. Dragged my most used sites out there and working, but there is no thumbnail pictures or anything to show, just empty boxes with just below the site described as in my favorites.
Vignettes on the subject: newtab page are generated from the cache, so if the page is not in the cache or otherwise cannot be rendered as a PNG image, you will get an empty box.
Don't use no clear recent history allows to erase data when you close Firefox.
If there is no history, you get a topic: newtab page with empty boxes. -

When you use Firefox, a site jumped upward and said it is Firefox search virus. He said then I got dangerous viruses and need to download a security program. It's for real? The site has been update32.escmce.ce.ms I googled this site and it does not exist. Now, I'm worried about security on my computer.
Sounds very similar to what I had come last week. I did not now what the site was, but I noticed that the box seems to be analysis what were the Windows system files, it could not have been real. I do not download anything either, and I think that if you have not then you are probably safe. I am far from being an expert in the field and am sure that someone with more expertise will also. I learned that the best thing to do is vacuum history of cache, cookies and remove and close the browser. Don't try not even close the box that I have read. I don't know if I did or not. I think that there is some nasty things circulating right now try to deceive us in their installation on our Macs. I agree that it's a very scary experience. I was shaking when it first happened to me.
