The horizontal size of the Web page

I'm wanting to create an image of banner in PS and then place it on my Web page.  I did the first time, but when I went back to make a change in the data on the PS file and then replace it on the Web page, I get an image preview screen that displays the file is too large.  The original file was 1000px x 120px.  I've recreated the file up to 700px X 120px and it is still showing it as too large.  Should what size I queue up in PS?  When I create the html file in dreamweaver, I use the single column, centered, the header template and footer.

I think that I have already answered this in your other discussion.

Images of text are not a good idea in web pages because the images are not readable by the search engines, to language translators or screen readers.   It is always better to use actual text when you can.

    Change the screen resolution

Screen resolution refers to the clarity of the text and images on your screen. At higher resolutions, items appear sharper. They appear also smaller, so more items adapted to the screen. At lower resolutions, fewer items adapted to the screen, but they are larger and easier to see. At very low resolutions, however, images may have serrated edges.

  • Why is the size of the Web page to get more small or bigger while I'm online? Am I touch a button or by pressing something by accident?

Why is the size of the Web page to get more small or bigger while I'm online? Am I touch a button or by pressing something by accident? This happens to my daughter. We have all two computers laptops sony vaio. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a way to avoid this?

It is possible that one of the CTRL on your keyboard is blocked by sticky dirt coke or a faulty design on this model since it happens on 2 different Laptops:
If you use the mouse wheel to scroll up and down your pages in Internet Explorer, CTRL + roulette is a shortcut for zoom, what would cause this symptom.

The Vaio seems to use a complex configuration of the main keyboard drivers, search the Web for "sony vaio ctrl key pressed" to see some of these horror stories and how others solved the problem. Add your specific Vaio model name to the search string for more accurate results.
Also check if the function FN keys work correctly, go to the Sony web site to check the driver for your model and Windows 7 updates.

If you need to clean the keyboard, I suggest that you seek professional help.

  • What size of the Web page is the more 'normal' to use?

    Hey everyone out there.

I have created a Web page in the Muse. In the framework of the program, the page everything I like, but when I download on my browser it's all wrong.

  • Is it possible to control size of the web page?

    Hello
I apologize if this question is stupid, or base, or if it is not logical at all, but I'm totally new in all this, so please, be patient with me.
I wonder if there is a way, how to control the size of the web page. What happens if I want the page to be, let's say that 450 x 450 pixels? Forge, inserting these dimensions in the body tag to get there? Something like

    < body bgcolor = # "000000" width = "450" height = "450" >

Thanks for any information or you advise.
    See you soon

Nope. You must build the page so that nothing would be wider
/ bigger than your width / height, and then when the page loads.
resize the window browser for these dimensions. It is usually
considered one of the most offensive things that you can do to your visitor.

    Why do you do this?

  • Bad display-how can I reduce the size of the web page to fit my acer notebook the screen is big

My Acer Aspire used to automatically adjust the web page to fit my smaller screen, but it seems to have stopped working and I can't find how to fix the problem.

    [Moved from comments]

In Internet explorer, you can use these shortcuts.
    Other browsers are similar.

    Zoom + (more) CTRL in
    CTRL + (Zoom out less)
    Scrolling CTRL + mouse wheel

  • Firefox does not open in full screen on the task bar and I have to go over it to see the web page.

Firefox does not open in full screen on the task bar and I have to go over it to see the web page.

Firefox window is sometimes "off screen" somehow. Often, you can force it to appear on the screen by right clicking on the thumbnail image just above the taskbar and choose expand. Does it work?

A possible cause for this is that the file that stores the positions and sizes of window is corrupt. You can delete this file and Firefox will return to standard window resizing.

#1 method: If you can get a zoomed window:

Open the settings folder (AKA Firefox profile) current Firefox help

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
    • (menu bar) Help > troubleshooting information
    • type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter

In the first table of the page, click on the view file"" button. This should launch a new window that lists the various files and folders in Windows Explorer.

Leave this window open, switch back to Firefox and output, either:

    • "3-bar" menu button > button "power".
    • (menu bar) File > Exit

Pause while Firefox finishing its cleanup, then rename xulstore.json to something like xulstore.old. If you see a file named localstore.rdf, rename this to localstore.old.

Launch Firefox back up again. Windows normally appear again?

#2 method: If you can not get a Firefox window for all:

Close Firefox by right clicking the icon in the taskbar > close all windows.

Using the Run dialog box (windows key + R) or the start search bar menu type or paste the following and press Enter to drill down to the profiles folder:

    %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

Here you can see a folder - in this case, double-click that - or more than one case - in this case, double-click on in what looks like the most recently updated.

Scroll down and rename xulstore.json to something like xulstore.old. If you see a file named localstore.rdf, rename this to localstore.old.

Launch Firefox back up again. Windows normally appear again?

Then, to re - light bars, you can use one of the following methods to view the list of the toolbar, and then select the desired bars it:

To activate the menu bar, toolbar bookmarks or other bars, click it in the list.

  • Is there a option of zoon of the Web pages with Mozilla Firefox, if I have trouble reading the small print?

I take a class any web business, and I can't find a lot of the functions that they speak.

    Hello
Have you tried the Firefox zoom feature? This initiative will increase the size of the web pages.

    • To make things bigger, press Ctrl and + at the same time.
    • To make things smaller, press Ctrl and - at the same time.
    • Pour reinitialiser to reset the size of return to normal, press Ctrl and 0 at the same time.

You can also use the NoSquint add-on to change the zoom level by default for all websites at the same time. After setting your overall zoom level, you can still adjust the zoom on different sites.

    With the help of NoSquint:

    1. After installation of NoSquint, make sure you have the add-on bar displayed:

      • Click the new tab button ("+") or a box empty bar tab to the right of the item and choose the module bar on the shortcut menu.
    2. Click on the % in the bar of the add-on call site preferences, then click the global settings button, then the zoom tab.
      • You can experiment with sizes greater than 125%, but it is not recommended that you will more than 150%, unless you have a large screen high resolution.

If there are sites that are still a concern, feel free to post their URLs.

Please let us know if this helped you!

    Thank you.

  • Some information are obscured by other text on the Web page

A previous part of a hidden Web page. The owner of the Web page tells me its my browser and I have consulted the same webpage using Google and it was ok. It seems to be the fault of Firefox. How to fix it.
I restarted in safe mode, but the site is the same.

    You are welcome.

Web sites that use absolute dimensions, and then especially the height, for containers (text) are generally very sensitive to any change in the size of the font.
Usually immediately, you notice that there are questions if you lean to recognize its effect and then you must undo the changes (temporarily) if it's really worse as in your case and content get lost.

You use the zoom full page will not cause problems in most of the cases, but I have sen case when same zoom causes issues.
If it's on the websites you visit every day, then you can invest some time to see if you can come up with a stylesheet with userContent.css or elegant code to disable specific height settings (i.e. apply height: auto! important ;) or set the font size settings.) Zoom has the disadvantage of content that is already great will get even bigger (this forum is an example: a text is extra large and some smaller than 100%).

  • Update of Firefox, and now all of the web pages and icons are inflated. How do I put back it as it was?

Update of Firefox, and now all of the web pages and icons are inflated. How do I put back it as it was?

    Hello

Firefox on Windows is now after display, scaling options that can make the biggest text on screens at high resolution.
You can adjust the resolution of your screen.
To change it follow these steps:

    • Type of topic: config in the Firefox address bar and hit the Enter key.
    • If the warning that this might void your warranty , click I'll be careful, I promised.
    • Search for layout.css.devPixelsPerPx

    • Double-click layout.css.devPixelsPerPx to edit its value. The default value is - 1.0 in Firefox 22 and above. Change it to 1.0 to run as in previous versions of Firefox.

If necessary, further adjust the value of 0.1 or 0.05. Values between 1.0 and around 0.5 to reduce the size of the elements. Use a value greater than 1.0 to increase the size. For example, a value of 1.25 will increase the font size of the 125% to account for the default DPI setting in Windows 8. Check the value that you enter. Definition of a value that is too small will take everything away and too high will explode things.

If the web pages should always be adjusted so you can watch the extension Default FullZoom Level or NoSquint .

To adjust the font size for the user interface, you can use the extension of theme font & size changer .

This solve your problems? Please report to us!

    Thank you.

  • Web page's tab scrollbars too big, lost and info at the top of the web page, how to fix this

Received a failure to connect to an online banking service, eventually getting a web page entirely filled by screen with no scroll bar, no menu bar at the top. Tried to restart firefox, restart the computer, removing/reinstalling firefox, all to nothing does not. Did not remove 'settings' assuming that my url / passwords would be deleted. How to get the web page to be 'size' correctly.

You can try to close Firefox, moving localstore.rdf on Firefox profile, then restart Firefox. It should reset the window size and position. If it works, you will have to Redo toolbar customizations, you did. If this isn't the case, you can move back the localstore file in the profile again.

  • The Web pages in IE8 see the lowercase and do not whole screen

I pushed a few keys on my keyboard and now what has happened (with only the web page - toolbars and these are full-screen) and I want my old pictures back screen.  How can I adkust the size of the screen so that it fills the entire screen again?  I wish that I knewt what I did to cause this because that's probably how to cancel - and I can't display in the Panel as in XP.  I tried zoom and do it to fill the entire page, but the font size is too much - I want fonts smaller than I had before.

    Thanks in advance for your help. Lorien - a - MCSE/MCSA/network + / A +.

What worked for me was to adjust IE from within IE using the drop-down menu of the Page then Zoom and the size of the text until I had him where I wanted.  Then I closed it and all of the following openings open like this was closed (which is now the default behavior).

I hope it works for you.

    Good luck! Lorien - a - MCSE/MCSA/network + / A +.
