The internal microphone too low volume

I have a new dell inspiron 5050 w intel core 3 and windows 7 and internal microphone level is not high enough.  The level is set to 100 and up to 20 dB boost. Skype calls cannot be heard and sound tests have a very low volume.  I heard that maybe that's a problem with windows 7. Some of those who have upgraded to vista say they have the problem.  Driver update is grayed out. Thought of the back of computer.  Another solution?

  • Is it possible to reinstall or reset the internal microphone of an iMac?

    Some background information:

27 "iMac 5K (end of 2015) running OS X El Capitan (when the problem started), to give birth to Sierra of MacOS. Also have a Bootcamp with Windows installed 10 partition.

A month ago, when under OS X, I noticed the internal mic produced some static when you try to use it. Audio messages in voicemails would be static instead of my voice. The weird part? If I switched to Windows 10, the internal microphone works without any problem. I can ask questions of Cortana, I can record voice messages and they read without static electricity. In fact, no matter what I use the microphone internal to in Windows, it works perfectly.

Sierra of MacOS is out, so I hope that this update may be a BONE would settle the matter. Nope. Internal microphone still does not work on MacOS, but still works perfectly in Windows 10. It is because of this that I am positive the internal MIC is not broken or have a loose wire.

I went through a few steps to try and fix the internal microphone, such as resetting the SMC... but nothing has worked. Any help or ideas on how to solve this problem would be greatly greeted.

    Hello dear user

Thank you to use Apple support communities

My recommendation would be to take it to an official Apple store, workers are espceialists, they might be able to fix, make sure also that you have never removed the water on top of the mic. In my iPad, a drop of water directed the music video of speaker if she never exceeds 30% volume of the music.

But if you don't have a store nearby, uninstall malware and unnecessary software, make sure that you don't have a program that allows you to change your sound (like Skype) systems, if you don't do that this program has no impact on your microphone. (I used to have Skype but it also makes audio cut so terrible, piano music sounded like heavy metal music, so heavy metal music was like to...) I don't know what to say.)

  • Inspiron 1525 not able to select the internal microphone for the webcam, or it appears on the Control Panel, sound, Audio devices

Initial problem was Dell Webcam video recording record any sound.

In the Panel configuration, Device Manager, sound video and game controllers, there are two high definition Audio devices listed: location 1 (internal Bus High Definition Audio) - I take it that it is the internal mic. and location 2 (Audio High Definition Bus Interior) - I take it that it is the external microphone jack. Both have the same version of the driver.

Control Panel, sound, the recordings tab showed 2 devices that looked like identical except the bars that show green with volume were only on the first, which is also the default and would detect sound if you're real close to the webcam microphone when you talk. The two devices displayed as 'work '.

Accessories, Sound Recorder records are silent any distance you get to internal webcam mic.

Dell WebCam Audio Source tab has two selections, the two reading Microphone (3 - high definition Audio Device). Both selections recorded the sound with the EXTERNAL microphone jack. There is no way to select the internal microphone webcam, it is not an option.

According to the instructions found on the web, I uninstalled the first device only in the Device Manager and rebooted. The same version of the same driver has been installed. But now the parameters have changed. Device Mgr shows Loc 1 and 2 pass. However, under the Øresund, tab records there are always 2 features, but the first said "currently unavailable", is always the default and the sound bars that go for green for the audio tests are ANOTHER unit now instead of the first. If you check the properties of each device, they BOTH show the same location 2 (inside Bus High Definition Audio), i.e. the external microphone jack.  Loc 1 device (built in mic) does not appear!

Accessories Sound Recorder works with the EXTERNAL microphone. (How does he know that one to use, it is not giving me a choice?)

If the tracking device 1 (internal microphone) does not appear anywhere besides than Device Manager. I want to use the internal microphone for Skype and webcam. Somehow, I need to get the Loc 1 unit appears on the sound - recording tab and in the Source Audio Webcam list? What should I do?

Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Too low volume of the microphone

I just bought a new Toshiba Satellite L500D, with Windows 7, and I'm having a problem with the microphone volume, in this sound recording is barely audible.

I followed all the steps suggested on this topic on the forum: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en/w7music/thread/06582922-0014-4dac-9f74-b63f143fbb8e... .but nothing fixed it.

It's a built-in microphone and audio driver is Realtek.  I did a driver update check and it integrates the latest version.  I all set to maximum microphone volume settings and tried to test records Skype and sound recorder for Windows.  They record, but it is extremely low volume, even if I'm leaning closer to the microphone and speak loudly.  Different recipients of Skype call could barely hear me.  The only thing that saves the high voice is when I run a finger over matte plastic of the monitor frame - which saves super hard for some reason any.

I welcome suggestions as soon as possible.  I need my microphone to get the work done!

I hope that the people at Microsoft can remedy the situation as soon as possible, because it is crucial to set!

I had this problem for a few weeks, I recently read a forum post saying uncheck the: allow applications to take exclusive control of the device:

Well, I found this setting and changed a few others and I think that he has fixed

I went through the control panel > hardware and sound > manage Audio devices to reach the acoustic Panel.

I selected reading > Speakers > improvements and made sure that everything was unchecked.
"" I selected reading > Speakers > advanced and unchecked "allow applications to take exclusive control of this device.

I went to recording > Microphone > listening and insured 'listen to this device' is unchecked.
I went to levels and assured the Microphone level was 100% and the boost to + 10 dB
I'm gone into improvements and assured that everything was unchecked.
"" I then in Advanced and unchecked "allow applications to take exclusive control of this device.

And finally I went in the Communications of the acoustic Panel tab, changed "when windows detects communications activity" to "do nothing".

  • The sound is too low on Satellite L650 - 10G

My new L650 - 10G, running on Windows 7 64 bit, is disappointing. I can live with that, but what is a problem, is that the peak power is poor. In other words, the volume of the ridge is not strong enough. It's probably fixable, because I don't know that the speakers can produce at a higher level, even if they are not very good.

I have the latest audio drivers. Any suggestions - outside the use of external speakers?
    Thank you.
    Andy

    > But even taking into account, of low quality speakers, sound production max is too low

This is a typical problem for laptop speakers. Fortunately, my model is equipped with Harmon Kardon and the sound is impressive. For you, I would recommend to get the external speakers...

  • The HT820 ear and lower volume stuck button

I had these headphones for almost 2 years works very well. I don't have a bluetooth phone, but I use my HT820 with my HP Ipaq 211 listening to music or watching movies. I also connected them to my work and the home pc. At work I connected them to the phone Nortel 1150. I just had a few problems since I got to the two atria are beginning to tear. I had them in my backpack and I don't know how, but one ear cushion came off the coast. So I'm wondering where I could get replacement tips? The other problem I have is with the low volume on the left hand button. The button is stuck, but I can live with that, because it is just the right volume level. If I don't find any guesswork replacement I can buy another pair and I can leave the old one at work since I can use it with the 1150 of Nortel. Thank you

  • Turbo - Pandora and MP3 too low volume w / Bluetooth

    Hi all

I hope that the forum can help, I have spent the weekend looking for this and other forums and still can not find a solution to my problem.

I have a Turbo that I've been using listening to Pandora, IHeartRadio, Google Music and Amazon music player, but also to play MP3 Poweramp and the app Amazon (for local files) and it worked without problem with an accessory Belkin auto Conenct Bluetooth via the aux on the RAV4, and it worked pretty well for the last 2 years (Droid Maxx before the Turbo words)

This weekend I bought a Hyundai Tucson to 2013 with Bluetooth factory, and while volumes for the phone and for notifications are fine, when I try to play any kind of music, MP3 streaming either stored locally, the volume seems to be half that of other sources. CDs play fine and I burned some MP3 files on a disc and they play very well this way, so it isn't a problem with the MP3 files themselves.

I read that there are problems with the Turbo, with the Tucson, but I've also read of this same problem happening with other brands of phone and the car if she can't be unique for the Turbo or HYundai, but of something inherent in Android. All I know is that I use my phone as a source of music a little and it's embarrassing.

Yes, I made sure the volume of BT is set while the device is streaming, the volume of the media is set as high as possible, I uninstalled everything that can affect the volume with the exception of profile of Volume, which I use with Tasker to ensure my phone not to ring too loudly at work (I have a trigger defined for the SSID of the network to the office which uses a setting saved to breast Profile of volume, when not in the office, I have a reverse rule set to use the 'Normal' setting Thinking that maybe that's the problem I checked and it had been set at 10 on a scale of 15 but put at 15 did not improve the situation.

I tried Volume +, which is supposed to hang on the API and volume boost beyond the normal max level, but this had no effect, either.

Anyone encountered this, or have ideas or suggestions? (I know that the last update release notes indicate that a change was made to the volume of Bluetooth but a) it does not seem to affect the profile of audio BT and b) it worked well after the update with my Belkin BT accessory.

I'm very grateful for any help, thank you!

    Matt

    Hello

I'm no longer Hunt the Turbo as the culprit of this issue, I've now matched my phone with several other vehicles (including another Hyundai, an Elantra 2013) and it has well in other cases... at this stage, it cannot be the vehicle.

I'll pull the fuse for the audio system see if I can reset by providing sufficient volume, and I am also pursuing a resolution through my dealer, either via some sort of update or replacement of the radio under my warranty Platinum.

    Thank you for your help,

    Matt

  • disable the internal microphone

    Lenovo x 201 2985 F4U

is it possible to disable the internal (built-in, integrated, whatever it's called) microphone on this unit? I have not been able to find a way without disabling the whole card.

You can probably disable it in the bios, under Security, access port i/o. or in windows via Control Panel, sound, recording, select microphone and disable.

  • I don't see the internal microphone on the control panel

I clicked on do not use the microphone inside. It was supposed to be a temporary measure. Now the internal mic has disappeared from the Audio tab on the control panel so I can restore.

I would like to come back to the internal mic. I have a Sony VGC-JS1e

    Thanks for any help

    Hello

Try these steps and it should allow the listener to the back:

    1. open the control panel. (Classic view)

NOTE: Open the start menu and click on the menu button of the control panel.

    2. click on the audio icon.

    3. click on the recording tab.

NOTE: This also works in the reading tab, but there are usually no hidden audio devices there.

    4. right click on an empty area and click Show disabled devices.

    5. you will now see the audio devices disabled with the arrow pointing down on them.

NOTE: These audio devices may vary according to the audio card installed or chip you have.

    6. right-click on each listed off audio device that you want to activate and click Activate.

    7. you will now see this when the audio devices are enabled.

NOTE: You can now change the property settings on these audio devices in the way you want.

    8. click OK to close the sound window.

  • How can I activate the internal Microphone?

I have a Dell Intel Core with windows 7. I turned off the internal mic once and now I don't remember how to turn it back on. I want Skype to my 6 year old granddaughter, but can't because it won't save my voice. THEN; How do you turn on microphone internal?  Thank you in advance for helping out with this.

You should consult the documentation for your computer's system or contact Dell.  It is not a Windows problem.

    Hello

Click with the right button on the speaker near clock - recorders - right-click in the box - check
Show disconnected devices and display devices disabled - check your micro-
Turn highlight them and then on lower right properties. To ensure that the injector is appropriate
is enabled and check the other settings - tab levels make you MUTE is disabled
and APPLY / OK to change
    .

Check with type Sound Recorder - Start - in the-> Sound Recorder search box found at the top of
list - click on - RUN AS ADMIN

    ---------------------------------------------

    If necessary:

Control Panel - device - SOUNDS - look for HD Audio Manager - Mine said RealTek High
Audio definition (this is an example and you can have an other name/maker).

Make sure you write down the description and model double click top - tab drivers - write version.
Now click on update drivers who cannot do anything as long as MS is far behind the certification of drivers.
Then CLICK RIGHT on it and UNINSTALL - REBOOT - this will rebuild the driver stack.

If your driver shows 06 you have the default windows and part of the question.

Go to the system manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers Audio/Sound - download - SAVE-
go to where you put them - just right-click on Reboot - RUN AS ADMIN-

Check the Version on the tab of the driver in the device as often audio drivers Manager
restoration and then finally install the latest version. Restart and check post
each test, not uncommon to have to run the pilot of 1 to 4 times or more. Just do
of course, the version you have installed appears in the tab of the driver.

Go to the site of the manufacturer of the device, and then search for the even more recent drivers and install repeat
    operating mode.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

  • Aspire too low volume for 17 E E5 - 722 - computer 89MU Laptop speakers

Hi, I bought 2 x Acer E17 (E5-722-89MU) about 6 months ago and have both set to level to Windows 10 since. It seems that for a few months, I installed Audacity, my speaker volume has become barely audible and now I have to use earplugs for watching movies.

The other is my son and his volume from the speakers is like mine was before, but I have no idea how to get my volume to the appropriate forum. I tried to update the drivers, but the problem still persists.  And I downloaded the recommended Realtek driver to see that it is the same as that currently installed (6.0.1.7564).  There is also an AMD high definition Audio Device whose driver also seems to be up-to-date (10.0.0.1).

Everyone has ideas please it's driving me crazy.  It seems that the two laptops use the same drivers then why is his volume about 3 times stronger than mine.  There must be something different somewhere and probably is not just cos I installed Audacity?   Thanks a lot for any advice.

    Try this:

Right click on the sound icon. Go to playback devices. Select the speakers. go to properties. Select improvements. Turn to the Equalization of the volume. This should help.
