The laptop 522-3657 Acer E1 has an RTC battery

I have an Acer E1 52-3657 model M52373. The unit works fine. I would like to know where the CMOS/RTC battery and how to access it when the time comes to replace it. A reference number for the battery required would be a good piece of information to have on hand as well.

Thank you

Hello

Yes the basttery CMOS in this computer could be replaced if necessary, you must remove the entire Mainborad for access & if I'm not wrong the CMOS battery is CR2032

  • It doesn't damage the laptop if I always use alternating current with battery on?

I have a laptop G7-2017 us and always use whith the power supply, I never move office. I noticed that the battery is exhausted even if voltage AC. Does it damage the battery if I use it always with the ca, the battery must be removed and stored?

    # This is not normal.

There are circuits on the motherboard of the laptop computer that monitors battery voltage and it recharges when it goes below a certain amount. If you disconnect the power adapter and plug it in then it starts charging the battery?

Have you ever run the test of the battery which is available in the HP Support Assistant? It's a good idea to do this every four months or more. So it can be used in mobile mode, she was supposed to have, that will keep your battery in good condition.

  • V3 - 574G black and cannot restart the laptop screen

Currently unable to use the laptop at all because he has himself in a State where I can not restart to reset.

When "on", the keypad backlight is on but the laptop has a black screen - and pressing caps lock for example does nothing (should be a status light?) and pressing Fn + F9 does not switch the backlighting on the keyboard.  The battery charge light turns on when I plug the power supply as the power light when the laptop is supposed to be 'on '.

The obvious thing to try is to hold the power button for 5-10 seconds, but after I press power for 2 seconds, the power goes out and continuing to press on the power button are nothing else.  Pressing power again after a delay to turn it back on to bring him in the same black screen condition as before.

Can anyone help?  I saw a previous response where the solution is to open the back of the laptop to remove the CMOS battery for a few minutes - but have never opened the laptop before and would rather not as still under warranty.

The machine is an Acer V3 - 574 G-56LU, and I have updates Windows automatic running (so has updated to Windows 10 anniversary for example), and I regularly use the Nvidia GeForce driver for the graphics card update.

A happy ending - has proved to be a card mother dud.

How's this for Acer service? Referred to a case of repair, dropped the laptop off the next day (Friday) to a UPS drop-off, delivery performed Monday at the centre of repair, motherboard diagnosed and replaced within 2-3 hours and packed for shipping to me upward this morning. UPS return delivery the next day (this Tuesday afternoon). Data on the hard drive that I couldn't save all intact. I am delighted! Thanks Acer!

  • Wi - fi is de-energized and blocks the laptop

    Hello

I've been hitting my head against a wall trying to get this fixed a problem and have constantly searched the Internet to try to find an answer, but found nothing.

Here's my problem: my laptop automatically connects to my connection at home without any problems after the start, but after any where between 2 minutes - 4 hours, the small yellow warning triangle comes before the symbol of the connection. He says I'm always connected to the network but no internet access is available. (4 + devices are also connected to this network, all without any problem) When I run convenience store it says there is a problem with the wireless network card, he's trying to reset and just it turns off, then it trys to reactivate and my laptop goes down. If I run this utility and just try to disconnect from the network and then reconnect it says "Windows cannot connect to this network.

Here are the steps that I tried to resolve the situation:

S ' installs in 2 feet of my wireless modem

-Manually installed every possible driver available for my wireless network card

-Restored my computer laptop back to factory settings.

    -Tried another wireless

-Management settings power disabled to stop windows by disabling the network adapter to save power

-Updated my laptop with every windows update could provide

Despite all these steps that my problem still persists try, I see the forums are growing with people having similar problems and there appear to be no set in stone resolution to my problem.

    Plug-

    Aspire Acer 5750, Windows 7 Home Premium, Intel I5 - 2430 m 2.4 GHZ

    6 GB of DDR3 memory

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance

    Good detective work!

Looks like that the wireless in your Acer hardware has failed.  I hope it is still under warranty.

If this isn't the case, you can buy one of these USB plug in wireless adapters.  If the internal wireless hardware has failed, the USB plug will work fine.  In some cases they work really better than the more inward.

When you installed this, you should disable the on-board equipment.

  • Satellite L10-119: update the BIOS clears and RTC battery is not

I upgraded my Satellite L10-119 with new 250 GB HARD drive and the BIOS update. The laptop worked well.
After two months a probem follow arrived - only first 137 Gb(2^48) of the disk is accessible.
    I've discovered:

    1. If I flash BIOS again and the computer restarted after flashing, the upper part of the HARD drive is accessible for a short time or until I restart again.
    2. a show of internal clock 01/01/1988 if I disconnect and connect a main battery.

So I guess that it is a problem with the RTC battery (L10-119 is 2.5 years old)

I tried to charge the battery of the CCF by connecting the laptop power for a long time, but this does not solve the problem.
Does anyone know what can I do else (except visit ASP)?

Your guess was right, and I also, think that the problem with your BIOS settings always clear RTC battery.
In other words, the RTC is dead.

Battery charging will not succeed, because he can't keep the load.
It's probably not as easy to replace then with desktop computers, so I advise you to contact local ASP, and all must be dismantled.

I'm sorry to tell you, it's the only method I know to get your laptop to life.

I tried every setting available on this laptop, go all together if not try several changes in all settings. The volume is still low and has a very annoying reverberation and echo effect, even with these settings turned off. I got it for a week, and I was very happy with any other accept the audio. The reasons for buying this model were media processing and so far I have and become more disgusted daily with her. It is a Pavilion dv6 and it has beat audio software. If anyone has a solution, it would be much appreciated.

    Hello

One thing that can help is the following.  Do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select "playback devices".  Left click the device once to highlight default (it is usually 'speakers and headphones') and then click the properties button.  Click the enhancements tab and put a check mark in the box "Loudness equalization.  Click on apply to save the changes and then click OK in all other windows and see if allowed at all.

  • HP Pavilion 15 laptop: The laptop has been shutdown automatically

    Hello!

I've been using this laptop for almost a year now and it has never happened before with me. While I was working on the laptop, it stopped all of a sudden. Any order of work which includes the display, the light power, HDD witness, all but fan of led. Fan was working at a speed much more than normal.

I tried pressing the power button, long pressing the power button to force the system to stop, as I tried to connect it to the charger, but nothing has changed. It were not protesting same power cable connected light. It was so weird to me. My battery was around 40% at the time of closing down.

Finally, I removed the battery and inserted a second time to restart the laptop.

I was just to find out what happened and why it happened all of a sudden. Given that it was the first time, I don't want it happen again in the future. So, if someone can tell me why it stopped all of a sudden. Is there any log that is stored in the PC for such events, I can give you, but you must tell me where could I find.

    Thank you

    Hello

Thanks for posting in the HP Support forum.

These things can happen because of hardware problems or software issues. From what you describe, it actually froze, did not stop automatically. You're the one who took the dough to force stop.

You can view these HP articles on similar situations:

    > > http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03408309 (Win 10, 8.1, 8)

    > > http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01896793 (Win 7)

Given that this only happened once so far, I would recommend you don't change anything at the moment, but just check a few things to ensure the most critical parts are OK.

-You can go to start > > settings > > Control Panel > > administrative tools > > event viewer to examine the most recent activity log.

You can check the logs of Windows (System and Application).

Please, do not be afraid if you see a lot of red or yellow points - not all of them critical - it is a simple logging system

-You can search your computer for malware/viruses to make sure there is not everything. Some may cause locks.

You can check with the free tools like these:

    Kaspersky TDSS Killer > > http://support.kaspersky.com/us/5350

    ESET Online Scanner > > http://download.eset.com/special/eos/esetsmartinstaller_enu.exe (www.eset.com)

    Sophos HitmanPro > > http://www.surfright.nl/en/hitmanpro

    Remove all threats if found

-Check the status of Windows Update in Control Panel and it is not set to automatic, but rather the value in order to warn you before you download and install updates. Sometimes, if a updates takes longer to download/install, a computer might freeze.

-You can check the hardware in your computer for hardware problems. Here's how:

    > > http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03467259

    > > http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03467259#AbT1

Once you load the UEFI material diagnosticsPlease, perform the Test System > > quick test

It will quickly check the most important components such as battery, RAM, HDD, motherboard, processor

  • How to reset the default monitor on Acer 2920, computer laptop think always connected to an external monitor

Hello, I hope you can help me! I have a laptop Aspire 2920 with Windows Vista Home Edition O.S. It starts and works fine except that after I used it with an external monitor (a tv screen) on the possibility of using the external monitor, it only now starting to think that the monitor is the flat screen tv and doesn't recognize the normal screen of the laptop. The laptop screen is now "pixeled" and shows only like 2/3 of its total width. I checked in Control Panel and it has recorded as the 'normal' monitor flat screen, but I can't way a find to tell the computer that the monitor is the same as usual and not the flat screen tv. Thank you!!!

    Dear Lawrence,

    I ve solved the problem.

Do you have your suggestion to reset and did not work, but keeping your idea, I hooked to an external monitor, mounted in Control Panel, remove the "non-existent" monitor in the device section.

At this point, I had no image at all in the laptop and only the external monitor.

Turn off the computer and then reset the power supply.

Because the computer did not all other monitors, he then had to use the one by default with the default resolution, etc..

Thanks, it was a great help!
