  Hello

  I'm having problems changing the external volume while playinng games. I have a full keyboard with keypad digital key that has "Mute", "-Sound ' and '+ Sound' on but don't know how to change the volume. The lap top is one: PC laptop Compaq Presario CQ61-425EA.

• Can't see the logical volume when creating data store - vSphere 4.1

  Hi guys, got another problem with ESXi 4.1 on a HP Proliant ML350 G6.

  ESXi 4.1 update 1 has been installed successfully on the server on an internal USB. Our next step is to create a store of data through the vSphere client.

  The server has five 500 GB SAS configured in a RAID 5 array drives. The server has a HP Smart Array P410i RAID controller. I see five physical disks and logical volume of about 2.3 TB in RAID Utility. However, when access us the hypervisor via the vSphere client and try to create a data via a storage LUN/local store, the display shows then no logical volumes or the drive bays on which to create a data store.

  We are usnure why this is, as the ESXi 4.1 installation program could see this logical volume when I was installing the hypervisor, but he does not appear in vSphere for use in a data store.

• Whine of high ground by speakers when using the logic or Garage Band

  Yesterday, I downloaded and installed Logic Pro. During the last part of the installation process my speakers started to whine. It is not very strong, but quite noticeable and irritating. I use these speakers (Alesis M1 Active 520) for years and have never had this problem.

  When I restart, before launching logic, the speakers are silent - which means that there is no groan even when the speakers are turned at full volume. Logic Pro is launched as soon as the whining begins.

  When I go in the preferences in the logic and change the parameters of the device, for example I pass the entrance 'none', the whine disappear momentarily while the changes are applied, then it returns a few seconds later. The only way I can get the groan to stop is to choose one output other than "USB Audio Codec" - which then of course I hear nothing of logic, except through the Mac Mini, built in speaker, other sounds play through speakers normally without any annoying groan.

  Logic Pro to quit smoking will also stop the whine.

  Reminder, my speakers will only commit the groan Logic Pro is running. The moan is noticeable when the speaker (speaker button) is set to a level higher than 30%. I normally set it to about 50-60%.

  I just opened Garage Band and it has the same problem. Final Cut Pro X (and any other programs that I use) but do not.

  Looks like you have found your comments from your Audio input... maybe the built in Mic?

  That switch off in the preferences Audio Logic... by choosing a different input audio and see if that fixes it.

  'problem' of the abrupt volume changes when turn the volume control has disappeared. I don't know if it's based on disable "TDispVol.exe" as startup service or another reason.

  Thank you for your message.  We will try to make a new profile and test.  This problem was caused by a corrupted in some cases profile.  Below are the steps to create a new profile:
  Click 'Start' > right click on 'My computer' > select 'manage '.
  Double-click on "Local users and groups" > click on 'Users' (below) > in the pane, right click and select 'new user '.
  Enter the credentials appropriate for testing, and then click 'OK '.
  After clicking OK, you should see the new user, right-click (new user) and select "Properties".
  Select the tab "member of" > click on "Add" > type Administrators , and then select "Check name" > click OK
  Either close or restart your computer and log in as a new user.  A test to see if your cursor always returned to its lowest level.

  How can I prevent the Logic Pro X automatically add the volume/pan events whenever I cut a clip into two?

  I have a volume/pan at the beginning of each track event and sometimes I want to just insert new midi events existing in-between, so I cut the clip, the second part of move to the right and the record or paste my new events.

  The problem is that LPX is insert automatically the events of volume/pan at the beginning of the clip cut and then, when I join these clips, I have many events unwanted volume/pan

  How can I stop doing that?

  You can check the setting in the preferences - "Data Modeler > model > logic" - the name FK attribute synchronization - clear the check box if you want to manually set the name.

• How to fix the annoying "ding" sound on the volume change?

  Whenever I change my sound system of the slider at the bottom (Volume Mixer) - it plays a "Ding" sound as if I did a crime and it's really annoying. I know I can go to the sound settings in the control panel and change the sound of "Default Beep" to "None" or something less painful to the ears. But this isn't what I want - that Windows should always warn me when I was really a Crime and I guess that all the modules of applications/windows using the "Default Beep" would be affected by my change. How to say just the volume slider to shut up?

  I guess you can also tell Windows that the sound effect of the default sound output is 'none', so that nothing ever only plays the sound.  But then if another program tries to cause a sound signal, you will hear nothing.  So, for this reason, I prefer to use the method "hover".
