  I use measure and Explorer of automation to connect my equipment through LAN and it works well.

  But this device does not detect my code VBA with Ni-VISA. I want to know how the software (measurement and Automation Explorer) generates the connection and reading the message of compression inside the unit.

• 6602 not detected measurement and Automation Explorer or Windows 7 Device Manager

  I have a PCI-6602, in a PC that is running windows 7 Home premium and it appearing not not in the Device Manager and as a result measurement and Automation Explorer.  What is strange, is that I don't see either the PCIe-6535.

  Unfortunately if the windows Device Manager is unable to see the devices on multiple computers, it certainly points to the cards being broken.  I recommend you head over to http://www.ni.com/support/ and create a Service request to begin the process of repair for these devices.

  I use the controller measurement and automation. It has detected my usb USB-HS-GPIB interface, up to now, no problem.

  I have a device connected Keithley, I want to detect, but there is no scan button for devices when I go into my USB interface. He's just "open test VISA Panel' and 'Save' buttons. Any idea what the reason could be?

  I had problems with the old version of MAX do not recognize USB devices correctly. OR recommend the latest version of MAX to solve the problem. I would not recommend the old version 2.7 or 2.8 and MAX that comes with them. I had to install the DAQmx 9.0 x to get the last MAXIMUM to solve the problem. It has been incorrectly grateful as USB devices or instruments. When I've updated DAQmx and MAX I then could finally remove the list of bad devices.

• AVT Marlin not recognized by measurement and Automation Explorer

  Hi all

  I use an AVT Marlin F046B on Windows 7 and sometimes this camera is not recognized by Machin Vision: measurement and Automation 5.0 (MAX), no IEEE 1394 devices is displayed.

  This problem appears randomly. When the camera is not recognized by MAX, if I use the driver of the TRA for IEEE1394 card, the camera is recognized by AVT SmartView and when I installed the driver of return of Microsoft for IEEE1394 card, the camera is not always recognized by MAX.

  Could there be a problem of compatibility somewhere?

• 6009 USB appears in the devices, but no measurement and Automation Explorer Manager

  I have a NI USB 6009, which is visible through Windows, but not in MAX.  Uses OR-DAQmx 9.0.2 (so it should date back to before the question HID/PID, I've read).  See the attached screenshots.

  I suspect I'm missing something.  What?

  Sounds like a classic MAX database corruption.

  There are methods to go through and fix it... they are quite complex and convoluted.  More simple is to uninstall/reinstall just MAX.  Your version of some 9.4.0f1 with the Windows XP hotfix versions works well for this same problem on several machines here, looks like out for download 9.5 now.

• Keithley 2000 not identified NOR Measurement and Automation Explorer using GPIB

  I recently used NI TestStand and NI MAX with IVI drivers to get my working(using USB) peripheral. He has worked successfully for TG5011 and TDS1002B Oscilloscope function generator.

  Following the same procedure: I started with 2000 model DMM of Keithley with GPIB.

  I am facing difficulties in finding my camera on OR-MAX devices and interfaces. I use a GPIB KUSB - 488B USB adapter to connect.

  I can interact with the device of VISA Interactive Control and KUSB diagnosis tool and you can see the device in the device Windows and KI-Configuration Utility Manager. Surprisingly, I don't see GPIB Board in the NOT-MAX.

  Help, please.

  System details: NI-VISA 5.2 installed on Windows 7, KUSB-488 driver installed in command compatibility mode OR. (only ieee_32m.dll is present), installed UN NOR-488.

  To help all those who have read this thread:

  I had the Keithley 2000 NOR-MAX and NOR-Test Stand using IVI Driver (for Keithley 2000 of NOR) using the KUSB - 488 B (GPIB to USB adapt from Keithley).

  Layer of keithley installed IO Keithley and I can see the unit property. I then followed the procedure for IVI MAX and TestStand pilot program and IT WORKED!

  I used MAX recently and he suggested a firmware update, which at the time I said no.  Now whenever I start

  MAX and select, my device under devices and Interfaces I simply get a message waiting hourglass, no error message

  are visible.  What would be the best way to solve this problem?  It gives me is more a chance to update the firmware for my motion controller

  device.

  I have not seen behavior like this before. Please uninstall NOR Motion, disconnect your motion control board, reinstall the latest version of NOR-Motion and reinstall your Board again. Please let me know if this solves the problem.

  I'm just starting using the measurement and Automation Explorer.   Half an hour ago, I performed a calibration of temperature to get familiar with the process.  It seemed to work.

  I tried calibrate again.  It says my current calibration is 31/12/1903 - Question 1) why is this?

  I pressed the button , then came the name of my Stallion, then

  I left the characteristics of calibration because it was one of the screen: 1000 samples at a frequency of 1000 hz, then I pressed

• Camera does not show the extent and automation with Legacy 1394 drivers

  I have a Guppy AVT Firewire camera and try to get this camera working on a new Windows 7 PC, I have here.  The PC is running Windows 7 Professional 32 - bit.  When I connect the camera to the computer, it installs the driver NOR-IMAQdx IIDC, the camera appears in the studio of measurement and automation (version 4.6.2) under the heading "devices OR-IMAQdx", and everything seems to work great.  However, I need to use the legacy driver.  When I select the "Legacy IMAQ IEEE 1394 IIDC" driver, the device disappears from measurement and Automation Studio.  Reboot of the camera or to disconnect and reconnect the camera do not help.  In the Windows Device Manager, the la camera camera shows that the use of inheritance OR IMAQ IEEE 1394 driver (11/10/2006, version 2.0.5.0 that day), and windows reports it as working properly.  However, it is not always on display of the measurement and Automation and my application cannot see the camera.

  Here is what I tried:

  * Update the NI Vision Acquisition version 2009.11 software.

  * Make the legacy NOR-IMAQ for cameras 1394 2.0.5 is installed

  * A tried the same device with the same software on an old PC running Windows XP and found everything works as expected it.

  * A tried a card PCI IMAQ 1405 in the Windows 7 PC, which works very well.

  * Search in the forums.  I found several references to this document which refers to issues where disappear from the camera of measurement and Automation Explorer:

  I suggest you to install the bus driver 1394 AVT on your PC.

  This replaces the microsoft implementation of the 1394 Protocol and is better suited to the activities of the vision.

  You always can choose IMAQdx or old drivers.

• Measurement and automation cannot find the pxi-6070e in the Groove 3

  I just moved my PXI-1002, containing a PXI-6070e in the Groove 3, to a new computer. The new computer is Vista. I installed the drivers of NOR and measurement and automation (via NIDAQ880f2). After connecting the chassis and turn on the computer, M & A sees the chassis but says the range containing the 6070E is empty. The link and the power lights are lit (green) on the 6070E. Any help would be appreciated.

• Measurement and automation - cannot initialize camera

  I am developing software to interact with GigE Vision cameras and having a visible Dalsa Genie HD camera I've used during development. I also have been using software OR measurement and automation to verify my software does what it is supposed to.

  Well everthing worked fine and nothing has changed except for a three-day weekend, but now I get a "IMAQ 0xBFF6902C error - unable to connect to the camera' when using the software OR measurement and automation. When I lauch the softwar I click 'Devices and Interfaces'-> "NOR-IMAQdx devices" and my camera picture appears in the list, but when I click on the camera to connect I get the error.

  I tried to connect to another camera with the exact same configuration (hardware and software), but everything works as it should.

  Any ideas? I tried a lot of things

• Measurement and automation cannot find PXI cards

  When I start measuring and automation and watch devices & Interfaces I get the "MAX database connection error.  I followed the steps for "corrupt" of the database, but I can not any more to discover that any file or folder exists.

  C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\National Instruments\MAX\Data Dictionaries\Last

  When I look for this place, I find that there is no record of MAX.

  How should I proceed?  There are otherways I do devices and Interfaces show me what PXI cards I have?
