    Hello

The two processes are expected and isn't new to the latest version of the player.  They are part of the improvement of security measures taken to make Flash Player more secure and protect your system.  One is the Flash Player sandbox process that allows Flash Player runs in low integrity mode, and the other is the broker process that runs in medium and is integrity mode the guard between the processes of the sandbox untrusted and BONES.  Examples of some of these are access of the file system and access to the camera, among others.  More information is available here, inside the protected for Firefox Flash Player Mode.

  • The missing files (NOT deleted) of the file/directory of the system drive NTFS

    Greetings!

I have a WinXP SP3 system with a SATA 2 TB to the additional internal address as a data reader. This player has only the data (.mp3, video) files in a directory and has never been used for anything other than data files. There is only one directory for the files, and although it is four levels of subdirectories to the bottom, the tree is only these four subdirectories.

A week ago, I noticed that the free disk space on this drive jumped from 350 GB up to 1.2 TB, leaving about 600 GB of data on the disc (about 2 500 files). After checking what is obvious (Rebreather, etc.), I noticed that the missing files were all from one file *. * to n *. * and [0-9] *. *. All files beginning with o *. * to z *. * are still there. So, essentially, Miss me about 9 000 files.

I checked to see if the missing files could be cancelled or retrieved and downloaded several utilities 'undelete' recovery or data. All public services showed that there was no data to recover, that is, the files just disappeared or evaporated.

Where did they go? I'm totally distraught about it.

The files are not hidden, because the reduction of space disk; hidden files still take up the space.

I didn't something in training in the hope of recovering the data. I thought that perhaps an index obtained corrupted or deleted because files deleted did not appear in the correct order of the directory index. I ran a chkdsk on the volume, he came to own, and the files were still missing. If the files have been deleted in alphabetical order, they would still be "deleted", recoverable files?

I also tried to see if I could do a restoration of the system to the point in time before the files have disappeared, but my System Restore says there is nothing to not restore, no action to take.

    Any ideas appreciated.

    ....k

R - Studio found the files missing, but only about 75% of them were really recoverable. Those who were not recovered was a length of zero byte. The advantage is that the names of the files were still intact, so at least I know which ones to re - create. The downside is that it's a few thousand files that need to be redone. That will take time, but a lot less time that I would have had to spend to recreate all missing files.

R Studio also found entries previously deleted files, and I got these, too. However, the recovered files are damaged and unusable. Given that I didn't really need those, it wasn't a problem. I mention this simply as something that R-Studio accomplished (and the other tools do not have).

The recovery is complete in terms of finding the missing files and restoring their readers to spare.  It took a lot of time, about three days I was doing piecemeal in bursts of 500 GB move the files recovered on spare disks. I'll move the files that I had not lost before out of the disc problem, as well, and then replace it. readers are cheap these days.   :-)

Thanks for the help! Also, thanks for the recommendation R-Studio; This is a very useful tool and well worth the expense!

How to exclude the missing files or library locations that are on a network backup and restore of Windows 7 Professional drive. • How to import the missing files

    Hello

I found a lot of files missing on my system. When I took a quick look, I found that they had imported on another drive of my computer that I had taken.

    How do I:

    (A) import them

    (B) get rid of the link file missing in LR's rest?

Because right now, I don't then reimport them in LR, as it says the files are duplicates. So, how can I find all the 'missing' files and delete them?

Also, separately, LR is to see some of my pictures of the iPhone as a new files when they are not new. If I import them, I'll have duplicates.

Do not import the photos Lightroom think are missing! Do not! It is the wrong thing to do and will make things worse.

  • The missing files can be imported and show as dupes.  Claims to have their ghost directory, but is not found in the catalog or HD

I have 191 files in a known folder to HD.  The catalogue of the room light them says that all of the missing.  If I try to copy as DNG with him do not import checked suspicious files, all gray outside.

However, if him don't import suspected fooled no box is unchecked, they will import .

Except: they will not go to my destination, i.e. the same folder in which the resident on the disk hard, 2014_09_06, but a subdirectory of the folder of my choice, also called 2014_09_06, with a check mark next to it indicating 191 files. If I leave this box checked, I can import.  If I uncheck everything seems to be a fool, even if her import alleged fooled no box is unchecked.

Nowhere in the catalog or the hard drive is this ghost subdirectory is located. Don't forget: When checked, he seems to have 191 files it contains, but I must be on file parent to see this. And even by showing that it has the right number of files he let me import, which can create real and fooled fool's dupes.  When disabled the file, it seems to have no file but my ability to import is blocked. None of these conditions relate to her don't import suspected dupes, who is not checked under both sets of circumstances.

The final clues: the subfolder icon import has a plus sign on this subject, and I can't click on this folder on the import screen, only in the folder parent of the same name.  In the library of little, this subdirectory, I can click on the parent, I see 191 files, but they all have an exclamation point indicating that they are absent.

See my other post about the missing files. Once they are, we can work on the importation of treatment to get your fixed catalog.

  • The Windows XP Task Manager does not display the names of process image

I am running Windows XP with SP3. Image of process names are not displayed in the Task Manager, and in the column picker image process name, although is TICKING, is grayed out. I don't have the PID numbers. So I can't say what processes are underway. There are 57 processes running, that seems to be too many.   I tried running "tasklist > tasklist.txt"from command, prompt but it just flashes and nothing happens. " Does that mean I have a Trojan horse? What can I do about it?

    BDF

That seems good enough for me - now, we know that your XP version and Service pack, System brand and model, BIOS version, the amount of RAM installed, the size of your paging file according to NEC, your system has SATA drives and a few other things.

47 process may be OK depending on what you have installed and running on your system.

Looking at my notes, I see that I thought a while back that the tasklist.exe program does not come with XP, but there's a copy on my SkyDrive for you to download.

    Here's how:

Here is the link to my SkyDrive and you can get the file you need here:

    https://SkyDrive.live.com/?CID=6a7e789cab1d6f39&ID=6A7E789CAB1D6F39! 311

You can download it and when you do, place a copy of the file in these folders (assuming that Windows is installed on your C drive):

    c:\Windows\System32

When you see the files available for download, you can not see the file extension (.exe, .dll, .cpl, .sys, .zip, etc.), but when download you them they will have the right extension.

When you download the file (especially if you use Internet Explorer), when you get a chance to save the file, your browser is unable to save the file with an extension (by example, .exe, .dll, .cpl, .sys, .zip, etc) then you will need to manually add the extension appropriate to the file when you download the file before you save it.

You can download the file without the extension, and then rename the file to add the appropriate extension.  You do not want to use a file called tasklist when the name of the file should really be called tasklist.exe (if the downloaded file has no extension, you will need to change the name of the file to add the appropriate extension to make it work.

Then, when you run tasklist > tasklist.txt, you should end up with a file tasklist.txt you can open it with a text editor.

Even if you think yous system may be achieved a malware, it has never hurts to run these free scans before troubleshooting:

No matter what you use for malware protection, follow these steps:

Download, install, update and do a quick scan with these free malware detection programs (not at the same time) and remove all threats:

    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/

SAS will probably report a lot of tracking cookies and you can just let him delete them.

They can be uninstalled later if you wish.

The scans by operating clean, restart, and then fix any problems.

  • I want to print the screen for task management. It won't let me.

I want to show my friend which is running so that he can tell me what to stop making the computer run faster. I can't figure out how to print it.

    Hello dog BONES.

Thank you for your message.  There are two ways that this can be done.  The first and probably the easiest are:
1 open the Task Manager > click Options > uncheck "Always on Top".
    2 maximize the Task Manager
    3. press Ctrl + print screen at the same time.
    4. open Paint and paste the copy you just made.  This file can then be saved.
The second way is a little more in depth and included below:
1 if you have XP Home Edition, click on the link below and download Tasklist.exe, Tasklist.exe came standard on your computer.
    2. click on 'Start' > click 'run '.
3 type the following in the command prompt window /FO CSV tasklist > C:tasklist.csv [Enter]
A .csv file will be generated and written on your c: drive that can be opened with Microsoft Excel.

    Hello

Method 1: perform a system restore and see if it helps.

    System restore

Method 2: check in safe mode, if the issue not to persist in safe mode, and then put the computer to boot.

Step 1: start the computer in safe mode

Safe mode starts Windows with a limited set of files and drivers. Startup programs do not work in safe mode, and only the basic drivers needed to start Windows are installed.

Start your computer in SafeMode (Windows 7)

Step 2: put the computer to boot and see if it helps.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note: follow step 7 to reset the computer to start as usual after the boot process.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    Hello.

In general, this is a slightly difficult question to answer.

"So, how do you know how cool validation to your workloads require? You may have noticed in the screenshots that Windows checks this number and Process Explorer shows: peak current of commit. For the optimal size of your paging file, you should start all the applications you run at the same time, load typical data sets, then note the peak in charge of validation (or look at this value after a period of time where you know maximum load has been reached). Set the this value minimum paging file less the amount of RAM your system (if the value is negative, choose a minimum size to allow the kind of crash dump you are configured for). If you want to have a margin of manoeuvre for potentially important validation requests, the maximum value of double that number. "- taken from Russinovich pushing the limits of Windows: virtual memory .

The information on the link will provide more than enough detail on this issue.

  • Freezes on Web sites in flash like Youtube. The Watch Windows Task Manager process FlashPlayerPlugin opens and crashes again and again. Up to date - how can I solve this problem?

Firefox crashes whenever I open a site in flash like Youtube. If I open to the process task manager, then I see that flashplayerplugin will try and start over and over again and seems to hang over and over again. My Firefox and flash player are up to date. I tried to uninstall and reinstall firefox and flash player. I tried to turn off all the other modules. I even tried to install older versions of flash player, and nothing has worked. My wife uses Firefox to work, so is it possible to fix it?

You can check for problems with the latest version of the Flash plugin and try these:

    • disable an eventual extension of the browser for Firefox Plugin RealPlayer Record and if installed RealPlayer update
    • Disable protected mode in the plugin Flash (Flash 11.3 + on Windows Vista and later versions)
    • turn off hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

Alternatively, you can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

  • Slow start of the missing files?

I recently deleted some .tmp files and since Windows XP (SP3) is very slow to start. I did a clean boot and it takes so much time. The delay occurs after the Welcome screen disappears from the screen and lasts a little more than a minute. After the start, everything seems to work normally.

Is the delay caused by Windows looking for missing files? If so, do I have to reload from CD and then reinstall SP3?

This was due to an update for .NET Framework 4. My actions have been a coincidence.

See: KB 2571181 for a fix.
