The mouse will not scroll after the clean boot

Hello!

I just had perform a clean boot, because I had problems to connect to the internet, but after that (and re - start Windows normally later) my touchpad doesn't let me scroll upwards or downwards. It's as if this feature has completely disappeared. What can I do about it?

I use Windows 7 on a Toshiba Satellite C855 - 10 p.

Thank you!

You may have inadvertently disabled the software Toshiba Touchpad controller.  You could go back to MSCONFIG to check if it is listed.  Or you may need to download again on the Toshiba site.

You can also use system restore to restore the registry in how it was previously (in recent days).  Learn how on this in the option #1 here.

It is not that they are not always good, is that they are never
    good.

Your registry cleaner allows you to make a backup? If so, use it.
If this is not the case, do a system restore to the date before the execution of the registry
    cleaner.

Here is my standard message on the subject:

Registry cleaning programs are all snake oil. Cleaning of the
registration is not necessary and is dangerous. Let alone register and
do not use any registry cleaner. Despite what many people think, and
What software record cleaning suppliers are trying to convince you,
have unused registry entries is not really make you hurt.
The risk of a serious problem caused by a registry cleaner by mistake
delete an entry you need is much greater than any potential benefit
    It can have.

Let me stress that neither me nor anyone else who warns the
use of registry cleaners never said that they always cause
problems. If they have always caused problems, they would disappear from
the market almost immediately. Many people have used a registry
cleaner and never had a problem with it.

The problem with a registry cleaner is that it carries with it
the risk of a significant problem. And since there is no
benefits of using a registry cleaner, running that risk is a very bad
    good deal.

  • Windows 7 will not activate after a clean install and several improvements to my computer.

I bought a copy of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.  I installed my old hardware running, but found Windows 7 either too many resources.  When there was enough money kicking around to upgrade my computer a few months later I did (new card mother cpu and ram).  Windows 7 would not start normally or in safe mode, my old installation of XP would not boot normally but would start in safe mode.  So I reinstalled Windows 7 with a clean install (reformatted my hard drive) and it works fine but now it won't turn on!  It says that I have to type in a different product key because I typed the product key cannot be used to activate Windows on my computer.

I understand the need to fight against piracy, but the thought that I can't upgrade my computer without having to buy another product key is ridiculous!  There are solutions to this problem?

Activate manually.  It is detect your previous installation and seeing this as an attempt to install the product on another computer.  It is a common phenomenon.

To activate manually, go to start, search, and type in slui 4 enter.  Enter your country and press Next.  You will be on a screen with a phone number and a bunch of codes below.  Dial the number and browse automatic guests until you get to a human being.  Have your handy product code because it will be asked.  Explain the situation, but it's the same PC and only installed on this PC.  They should give you a code to enter on this screen to activate the operating system.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

If this does not work (these procedures are for Vista, but I guess they will work with Windows7), and then republish your questiion in Windows7 Forums:http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7install/threads where they can provide the procedure for this OS if it is different.

The problems begin after that I installed these updates. After restarting the computer, I can no longer use my (HP SK - 2506 U) keyboard and mouse (Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical). I have looked around through the forums and tried several suggestions; However, none have them worked, that's why I post here.

For example, here are the methods that I've tried so far, while using a PS/2 keyboard connected:

    (1) to start the computer in safe mode only to find out that they keyboard and mouse don't always work.

    (2) went in mode Bios and the keyboard works until I leave.

    (3) Microsoft Fix It tool I tried for USB devices and he said that "the changes have been made", but it does not solve the problem.

    (4) I went to the Control Panel, type "Troubleshoot" > find and fix problems > material and audio > configuration of a device, and he says: "material changes may not have been detected."

    (5) download the drivers on their site, but they will not be installed because 'the latest version is already installed. "

    6) going to remove each USB root hub in Device Manager, and then restart the computer to reinstall the drivers. The computer recognizes the 'new' devices,
but then fails to install. Also, when I check their error on each of the USB status then in Device Manager, I get an error (code 52).

    (7) I also tried to install an update, restart the computer and then install the update next to try to reduce down which one is causing the problem. However, this method does no more work. For example, I installed an update, then restarted the computer, and it would be nice. Then install the next update, and the problem would come back. I would therefore restore to a point earlier, thinking that the second update has been the cause of the problem only discover that the problem came back after first re-installation...

I also tried to run a backup of my external hard drive, but it does not work. I also tried to create a system repair disc, and it fails too.

So far, the only way I can "fix" this problem is if I restore my computer to an earlier point in the day and then hide all updates to install automatically.

Now I'm wondering if anyone knows why these problems are happening or fix them for good?

    Hi Floyd,

I appreciate the efforts that you have taken to solve the problem in a few important steps. Since it is a problem that occurs when you try to install updates for Windows, the driver may be signed or corrupted.

Just a few questions in order to get a clear picture of the issue.

    1. make all the windows updates installed successfully?

    2. What is the full error message you see in Device Manager?

Follow the thread and check them off below if it helps.

I MPORTANT this section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. • Logitech USB mouse does not work after the upgrade to Windows 7

I have a HP Pavilion DV6XXX laptop computer series (MS Vista Home Premium has been loaded from the factory), recently updated with Windows 7 Home Premium.  It is then this problem began.

Wherever I am, everything I do (typing, surfing, reading) my cursor made a break of about 3 seconds, 26-28 seconds.  This interruption is making me crazy!  Everything what I'm typing, the cursor becomes unavailable for 3 seconds.  Everything I typed is gone.

My laptop has a touchpad, but I use a Logitech USB mouse.  I can't disable my touchpad, but that does not change.  In addition, it is matter if I type or not: my cursor disappears for 3 seconds, 26-28 seconds.  I can sit and watch it.  I have disabled the touchpad, unplugged the USB mouse, find the updated HP drivers and Synaptics to nothing does not.

    Looking for other suggestions.

Well, I want you to do is run MalwareBytes.  You say you already ran MalwareBytes after the clean boot, and then tried to reload regularly?

Whatever program you have downloaded to fix the missing image file sounds like he came by malicious software.  What is the name of this program.

    Hello

It's really weird, but flash animations on most sites (sites like Ustream) will not play after that I updated the flash player. The funny thing is that on youtube play very well. I've tried disabling the addon of shockwave, relocation, etc., but nothing works. This problem is with firefox only because as the Chrome and Explorer the flash player works fine.

    Thank you.

Thank you. In fact, it was not necessary because I have disabled protected mode flash and who did it. However, seems like it is not the best option but average tiem, I guess I have no choice.

There seems to be a bit of a problem past, especially with older models of iPad 2. Some people have reported success after that restore their device via iTunes, for others that it has not worked and all they get is a message "bring it in an apple store.

Since it affects a lot of people, I think it's safe to say that the problem lies in the range of Apple. But I don't think it is recognized or no matter what put forward fix.

You can try to restore your device, or you may just be stuck waiting to see if a fix comes out.
