The new version of Firefox 20 is compatible with the Norton Toolbar?
I just received notice this morning on this new version of Firefox, but I hesitate to install until I know that my Norton toolbar will work. Can you give us some information? Thank you!
Solael,
Best is to ask the support of Comcast directly.

Are you aware that Firefox 21 is scheduled to be released next Tuesday, May 14?
https://wiki.Mozilla.org/RapidRelease/calendar
Comcast & Norton are already over 5 weeks of delay in the release of a compatibility update for Firefox 20.
Norton being the update compatibility Firefox 20 for their retail security applications in the 2 hours 20 Firefox being out, my guess is that Comcast is a delaying the update for their version of 'brand' of Norton.
See this response from a Manager Norton at the forum in support of Norton on April 29.
I apologize for not replying sooner. We're sorry for the delay, and we understand how frustrating this situation has become, however Norton & Comcast are working hard to resolve some recent changes for the Comcast Norton Security Suite. We want to reach a commercially viable resolution together in the best way possible, and do that as quickly as we can. I'll update you on any status change or additional information as it becomes available. Thanks for hanging in there with us. Tony Weiss Norton Forums Global Community Manager Symantec Corporation
I read 'commercially viable resolution' , as they are worth some money, and Comcast is dragging their customers dry for almost 6 weeks now.

How can I return to a version of Firefox that is compatible with the Norton Toolbar?
After that I have updated to the latest version of Firefox, the Norton toolbar is disabled. I would go back to a previous version that is compatible with the Norton toolbar. Can I do this?

In the menu tasks of my norton Security window, there is a place to check protection against vulnerabilities. One of the concerns that he has an infection in my toolbar on firefox. He suggests that the best way to resolve was made to upgrade to a new version og. google, because as the still there is apparently no problem for it. When I tried to upgrade to a new version of google to cancel the former an open window and told firefox or most recent is not compatible with it. They said that I should either download something from firefox to fix or connect with firefox. Ido know even where to start, not very informed on the problems of this kind. / your help would be very appreciated. What should I do?
You can use firefox 3.6, which is old, but always taken in charge and course. However, the best solution is to renounce the use of Google Toolbar because Google no longer support this with firefox, mainly because he has little to offer.
You can always google bookmark by copying in Firefox. Please take a look at

I hope that the Norton report, you make reference to simply says that your system has vulnerabilities, rather that he suffers from a real infection (or that he has treated or quarantined malware).

When the latest version of Firefox has been installed it gave me a message that the McAfee software was not compatible and so I have more protection against viruses. She added that when it became compatible I would be informed. I cannot afford to be without my virus protection and want to revert to an earlier version of Firefox.
I hope that the problem is that Firefox 5 is not compatible with some of the additional modules of McAfee. It will be rather worrying if she has a problem with McAfee security programs themselves. Please specify exactly what software and the version that you have problems with.
There are problems with McAfee Site Advisor /questions/839953 #answer - 205178 known but we hope McAfee that will resolve in a few weeks.

If I switch to the newer version of Firefox I lose Identity Safe w / Norton?
the last time I tried to update to firefox, I lost my w/Norton Identity Safe. This issue is still ongoing?
URL of affected sites

Hello, Jim.
First of all, I must remind you that the version of Firefox you are using right now has been deleted and is no longer supported. In addition, he has known unpatched bugs and security problems. I invite you to upgrade to the latest version of Firefox, for maximum security, stability, performance and ease of use. You can get it for free, as always, to getfirefox.com.
And if you lose "Identity Safe w/Norton", if it is an extension, you need to just try, or ask about it to Symantec. You can always go back to Firefox 3.0 if you want to, but who is not recommended at all, since Firefox 3.0 is not updated and is not safe to use.
Also, make sure "Identity Safe w/Norton" (if it is an extension) If this does not work with Firefox 3.6, maybe you can force compatibility. See this. If you have any questions, just ask.
As a side note and that is a purely personal observation, I do not think that "Identity Safe w/Norton" will improve your safety at all, if you are using Firefox 3.0. If she doesn't do anything (usually this kind of software is just marketing scams), it's slowing down your computer. Also, it is definitely and probably preferable to run Firefox 3.6 without it than to run Firefox 3.0 with it. Now and in your case, I think that the best solution is to run Firefox 3.6 with it, but I don't recommend you let keep you updated to 3.6, if it's not compatible.
If "Identity Safe w/Norton" is not an extension, please tell me what it is.

System Restore to fix the problem with new version Download Firefox addon
I just downloaded the latest version of Firefox, and many of my programs (addons) were not compatible, so Firefox off them. I need this back. Some have been paid, as a form of Robo, who has all my passwords to programs. Can I do a system restore? If I do this yesterday, I won't lose anything, since it was the first thing I did as I am connected to my computer, now, right? I don't want to start a series of new problems by doing a system restore, if it doesn't come back all these the way they were before I downloaded the latest version of Firefox. In the future, when I get a notice of dowload new versions of Firefox, is there a way to predict that something like that will happen? Should I just avoid the newer versions? I would really appreciate any help you can give me.
System Restore will not solve the problem.
See if anything here helps: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Add-ons%20are%20disabled%20after%20updating%20Firefox
If all else fails, it contains a link to reinstall Firefox 3.6.

I have received several messages inviting me to download the software updates that I use. I think they are attempts to get help with phishing or such. The last "software update available" amplifies - "this new version of Firefox contains an important security and bug fixes, and much improved page rendering times offer." Is generated by anyone at Mozilla, or automatically in Mozilla? Mozilla distributes these types of messages? That Firefox is updated automatically, then these messages should have no useful function except to help with the download of some intrusive camera, which I did not need. Are there plug-ins that I should throw?
Upgrade to Firefox 35 is currently limited and not everyone gets the new update offered at this time.
If this is the case for you, then you can manually update via help > topic.See also:

Windows 7
New version of FirefoxWhen you type a website address in the address bar and pressing ENTER it nothing happens. I go back to the previous version of Firefox, and this ability works very well. This is a feature I use a lot.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.
- Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
- Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe

Try to open a new window to see if the address bar works in this new window.
