the persistent taskbar button

I just got started using 3.3 G of the Toolbox (LV8.5) for system tray tools.  To the help of code from inside the examples, I had my application as you wish, with the exception of an initial start-up system tray button, which loses its connection to any wndow as soon as the front disappears once and the system tray icon apears.   The orphan taskbar button will not disappear and does nothing.  When I click on my application icon in the system tray the façade reappears as you like, create a second button on the taskbar that disappears when you like I decrease the façade.

My front panel makes its appearance (as you wish) before launching it minimized in the system tray.  I do it this way so that successful launch is assured before the window closes, with the assurance that things are really run in the background, as expected.

Is there a a way to remove this initial task bar button, leaving the only desired behavior?

Thank you!

  • Horizontal size of the taskbar button is TOO SMALL! (possibly a programmer for this one)

    This is a revised repost.

I downloaded a program called Styler which changes the appearance to look like Windows 7 or Royal themes. It worked fine for the first days, until that day when my laptop could not start after hibernation, so I hard-rebooted, and the horizontal size of the taskbar button is too small. I have tried rebooting, changing the appearance back, locking/unlocking/resizing components of taskbar, AND I removed the Styler. I wish I could send a screenshot. Yes, I have these vertical bars displayed and all, and no, they do not change it. I use as a separate program called AlienGUIse Alienware, which has not had a problem in 2 years, I got it, and it didn't fix it either.

It's as if there are many buttons it congestion because the function "Group similar taskbar buttons" is still active. I posted the picture of the problem in my profile.

Try a system restore to before installing Styler. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

How to change the size of taskbar buttons?  I did everything that I've seen proposed in these pages, and nothing works.

The buttons of programs open in the taskbar are tiny and square.  I want them to be of normal size (by default).  I have locked and unlocked the task bar.  I moved the "three vertical lines composed small points."  Nothing works.

If you want to enlarge all the icons in the taskbar, and then increase the point size of buttons of legend to a larger number of advanced appearance settings.
    Follow these steps:

    1. click on start, Control Panel, personalization, window color and appearance.
    2. on the window color and appearance, click "Classic appearance open for more color options" (link below).
    3. in the box "Appearance settings", click on the button "Advanced".
    4. in the box "Advanced appearance" under "Item:" dropdown, choose "buttons".
    5 set your size
    6. click on the OK button.
7 on the "Appearance settings" box, click on the button 'Aplly', wait.
    8. click the OK button if you are uncomfortable with the size to change, or just click on the "Advanced" button to set the size.

  • Gmail button (in internet explorer) keeps having moved to the right in my taskbar when I wasn't staying on the left (that's why I first open). How can I get the taskbar buttons to stop randomly to reorganize and stay in order?

Gmail button (in internet explorer) keeps having moved to the right in my taskbar when I want to keep it on the left (that's why I first open).  How can I get the taskbar buttons to stop randomly to reorganize and stay in order?  I'm talking about the buttons on list of my open applications and documents in Windows Vista.  The bar tasks are "locked", but the button of the window open with gmail in internet explore reappears suddenly in the good moments apparently random.

It is in the middle part of the taskbar (what I found online so far is on the start menu, the quick launch area or area/system tray of notification, the location of the taskbar in full, either about grouping taskbar - I disabled because I would like to separate).  Can anyone help?  I don't understand why this is happening (or why microsoft would never do).

Lock the taskbar that it prevents to be moved elsewhere on the office and maintains the different sections where they are - it does not block the tabs showing what is open where they were when they were opened.  There is no control for this function.  Maybe if you uncheck similar taskbar buttons group it will help, but I honestly don't know (and fear he won't make any difference - it may even make things worse).  This also happens to me and I was unable to find an answer.  I think that there are more than just random, but I can't telll you why he moves the legs periodically (sometimes it works fine all day and other days it happens almost immediately).  But still, there is no control for this function, so there is no way to tell him to keep a specific order or to lock an established order, once it has been created.  I suspect that it happens because the notification area icons appear and hide and new programs open and close and which changes the amount of space available and so he rearranges things so that they match and apparently does not always consider the original sequence in which the elements have been added.  Maybe if you remove the Quick Launch toolbar and then add again, the order will reset (but that I know not - probably not in the original sequence, which I doubt is logged nowhere - it did not work when I tried it).

Unfortunately, I don't have a solution to this problem (and I spend a little time looking for even before myselff posed the question) and do not believe that there is a.  It is also unfortunate that you can't move them so they can be put back in the right order if they change.  I don't think that there is nothing wrong with your system or that it is something that can be repaired or fixed - it's just the way it is and we just have to live with it.  I don't know any 3rd party software that controls the order of tabs open in the taskbar program (but you can check out Bing, Gooogle,www.tucows.comand www.download.com to see if I'm wrong on this - here n "t all when I looked trying to solve this problem for my own system).

I'm sorry it wasn't what you wanted to hear, but it's like that.  I don't know if it's different in Windows 7.

    Good luck!

    Hello

The new button show desktop can not be moved.

You can still use the old button display the style Office and place it next to the Start button. The best way to implement this is to restore the old Quick Launch toolbar.

See the thread next where you will find the instructions to achieve this.

  • Shortcuts to the taskbar, buttons, text, same .jpg files in the photo viewer shrank mysteriously horizontally... cannot be resolved (Windows 7)

    Hello

To describe the problem I want to join two screenshots.

The shortcuts at the bottom used to extend all the way to the right, to the system tray.  The taskbar buttons are tighter, and the text inside is smaller.  The date and time are narrower.  Here's how a screen shot I took in SWTOR looks:

It is much closer, and all of the text on the screen is smaller.

    Here is what I tried:

-Unfortunately I don't have a system restore point, so it wasn't an option.

-Manipulate anything in the taskbar properties did nothing.  I never changed anything.

-Change the screen resolution was not the answer.

-Change the size from 100% to 125% don't give me the results I was looking for.  I want this to 100% and never changed.

-Change the DPI setting has absolutely nothing.

-Go to the police in the Panel--> font--> font settings, then clicking on "Restore default settings", made the button go gray but did nothing.

-Go to personalization and selecting the theme of Windows 7 by default only changed color.  Work with advanced appearance settings was not helpful, because there is no option to select a font by default to size everything.  The option 'Office' here does not even allows you to change the font/size.

-Unchecking and then re - click on my own personal theme in personalization has not changed anything.

There is more, but this is basically what happened right out of the blue and for the life of me, I can't find a way to change it to the way it was.  It affects same SWTOR that when I log in, all the text in the chat window is smaller.  I'm just looking to Windows by default.  I found a post that told me to download "Set_Tahoma_Default_Font.reg" and then merge - a box of type BACK skipped upward, but nothing happened.  I restarted my PC after almost every change I made.

Sorry for the novel.  Any help appreciated.

  • Distorted icons and buttons especially the new tab button

Certain keys, such as the new tab button are distorted. It was the series of changes after what I noticed this (initially I was using firefox 41 on system from 21 to 64-bit fedora with XFCE desktop environment):

    -Upgrade fedora at 22

    -Installed LXDE desktop (with XFCE)

-Theme installed atolm (http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Atolm?content=136789). Just extract the contents of the archive in ~/.themes

    -past to this theme

-used the rodent icon theme (XFCE)

Up to this point, that I had not opened firefox and so I do not know when this problem occurred. I decided to remove LXDE and switch back to XFCE. I thought that this distortion of the icons happened probably because of an incompatible Openbox desktop configuration. This problem persists in the XFCE desktop environment too. I tried changing themes to see if a bug with the theme is causing these things, but remained it. I reinstalled firefox but the problem still persists. There is no option in the Customize menu to solve this problem. In addition, firefox menus do not use the gtk theme.

I have updated my firefox in another system and installed fedora-21 the same theme gtk and this one is very good. The menus are in accordance with the gtk-theme and the icons are not distorted.

    @cor-el

I tried with the theme by default too. Did not work. I changed the icon theme and rebooted. The distorted icons disappeared!

This seems to be a problem with the rodent icon theme.

  • Restore the default taskbar location

The taskbar has somehow moved to the left side of my desk. I want to move it to the bottom of the Office [i.e., default setting], but I am unable to do so. Suggestions?

    Hello JohnHackettXN,

Hover your mouse over the taskbar press and hold down the left mouse button and drag the taskbar at the bottom of the window. It should now appear at the bottom again. Once you have there right click on th etaskbar, and in the drop-down menu, click on the option "lock the taskbar".

It seems that you have, at some time, inadverently disabled the lock taskbar option. If the lock taskbar option is enabled the taskbar cannot be moved. A simple drag and drop should solve the problem.

  • Why program taskbar button turn orange and blinks?

What are the causes a button Taskbar program of change to an orange color and sometimes blinking?

    Hello

    This feature is by design.

The programs in the taskbar sometimes orange glow and flash because they are active or if they have a notification.

    For example:

If you insert a flash drive and AutoPlay works, but you do ot whole auto play program flashes orange and also flash just to see that USB has been detected and there several fot options allows you to select the auto play menu.

Even in the case where an event occurs on a program that has been reduced to a minimum, then this program will Flash orange spots in the bar.

  • Persistent Hint button?

I record a software simulation using C8. In a section, I would like that the learner to practice what I've shown just them. I would like for there to be a suspicion persistent button that would give them instruction if they get stuck or forget what has been said in the audio.

I don't like how the legends of default flag for the buttons to work, because the legend displays when the learner flies over the area they are supposed to click or insert text. I tried a few different options using active forms in the form of buttons, but as soon as I clicked on the button advanced presentation and I didn't fill out the original task. Then I tried an active form by default, and covered with a legend of reversal. I'm not really excited about this option either because the shape looks so plain and it is heavy to create one for each slide.

I don't have much experience with advanced actions, but I was wondering if there is an easier way to do this or if the legend of working capital is going to be my best option.
