  I used the toolbar bookmarks for awhile. I was using Firefox last night, when I noticed it was empty. I went to view > toolbars > toolbar bookmarks and checked and unchecked it happens several times, but just what is a toolbar is empty. I also opened to the top of my favorites and all my favorites saved as Favorites bar are still there, and the links seem to work. I also stopped and restarted my computer, but the Favorites bar is always empty and I don't know what to do.

  Make sure you always have the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" on the personal bar

  • Make sure you have the 'personal bar' visible: "view > toolbars".
  • Check in "view > toolbars > customize" "Bookmarks Toolbar items" are on the personal bar
  • If the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the bookmarks toolbar, then get it back from the window Customize on the bookmarks toolbar
  • If you do not see the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" then click on the button "Restore Default Set"

• What happened to the ability to drag a link into the address bar in a folder on the personal bar?

  It has been possible to left click and hold the icon of the site in the address bar and drag it to a folder on the personal bar to create a bookmark. This feature seems to have disappeared somewhere along the line.

  It seems that the problem may be intermittent. When I posted this question yesterday it worked and I was able to rearrange bookmarks into folders in the toolbar by drag-and - drop, but today both are behaving like expected. I'm not aware that I've changed nothing, but that doesn't mean not changes nothing!

  I can't sort my bookmarks toolbar now. I sort normally manually, but probably after an automatic update, they are sorted in alphabetical order. I can't drag and drop more.

  Interesting. I see that my bookmarks library won't let me drag and drop folders or individual benchmarks at the present time. No idea why and I don't have time to figure it out now.

  A quick test in a new profile works well, so it's something weird in my profile (I also lost the troubleshooting information in this profile of work so very odd indeed).

  Try in Firefox Safe mode, if it does not help then try to create a new profile using Firefox or additional test reset again.
  (CARE! Reset will clear your firefox extensions, so a new profile is usually a better option)

• Why my hp_recovery partition displayed as busy 80% but seems to be empty?

  My Pavilion dv6985 has a hard drive of 250 GB almost complete after an upgrade to Win7 64 bit Vista due to a serious virus infestation.

  Also, the HP_recovery partition shows that almost complete but clicking on it and the record that there are shows nothing, empty. How can this be?

  I want to remove the partition to reclaim hd space but fear there's something hidden that I should not delete even if I enabled "show hidden files."

  The files are hidden / locked at the factory. This is the files to reinstall Vista with the F11 button to power on. Given that you have upgraded to Windows 7, it should be safe to get rid of him.

  BTW, search for a folder on C: named Windows.old.That should be a big chunk of hard drive space. It is created during a Windows 7 update and contains the files of the old Vista operating system. If there are no documents, files in there that you need you can remove it. If you had a really bad virus in Vista, it would be best to get rid of it and the files.

  If you click on the bookmark, select 'Properties' and delete the text in the 'Name' field, it just goes to show the favicon in the toolbar.

  I have not yet tried solution Cor - el, but here's what worked for me in the end:

  I installed the add-on classic Bookmark button and that fixes the problem. After installing I got a new bookmarks button in the menu customize, which I was able to do slide on the bookmarks toolbar.
