The present no embedded fonts in scanned documents containing plain text are not get converted fonts incorporated after OCR applied. But the texts are searchable. Even fonts not embedded text that is formatted as text (not digital) are themselves converted to fonts embedded by adobe distiller.

Fix. Expected behavior.

Output of the OCR is not incorporated. With Acrobat Pro, a preflight check is available to embed the fonts.

On the use of Distiller - using a work option distill configured appropriately that the PDF created from the authoring application (FrameMaker, InDesign, MS Word, etc.) will have embedded fonts.

Be well...

    I have 64 bit Win7 Pro.

    I have a C:\Users\Owner\Documents\PRG folder with a number of Foxpro. PRG (plain text) files.  I can't get Windows Search to search for files.  For example, several files have the command "TO PAINT" in them.  If I bring up an Explorer window and use PAINT, I just get 3 file names that have PAINT in them without a content search.  I've read other suggestions to use ' content: 'paint' ' but that no results me at all.  I tried another suggestion: a window withCMD searchFile-name: "*." ' * ' - content: "painting" and got an error that says'searchFile' is not recognized as internal or external, command an executable program or batch file.

    I have to install a UNIX client to get a search utility that can find things I need?  At this point, I'll take something that actually works.

    If you type a Search in the research area, scroll down to change the way Windows search. The first page allows you to change the folders that are included in the search.  Under the buttonAdvanced -> File Types , you can select which extensions are included in the search.  You can also add a new extension if it is not listed.

  • If the name of the document contains, but NOT this

    I am trying to write the following script:

    If the name of the document contains 'before' and 'square', has.

    If the name of the document contains "recto" and NOT "square", do B.

    If the name of the document contains "back" and "square, do C.

    If the name of the document contains 'back' and 'square', NOT do D.

    Here is the code with the conditionals in the same order:

    for (i = 0; i < documents.length; i++){
        var curDoc = app.activeDocument = app.documents[i];
        var workingName = curDoc.name;
        if(workingName.match(/^*(front)*$/) != null && workingName.match(/^*(square)*$/) != null) {...}
        if(workingName.match(/^*(front)*$/) != null && workingName.match(/^*(square)*$/) == null) {...}
        if(workingName.match(/^*(back)*$/) != null && workingName.match(/^*(square)*$/) != null) {...}
        if(workingName.match(/^*(back)*$/) != null && workingName.match(/^*(square)*$/) == null) {...}
    }

    However, these ARE not return true and false as expected. As far as I know, taken individually, each regex match ground works.  I suspect that the problem lies in the & &, == null, and! = null shares, but am a bit of a loss.

    Specifically, a file named "before. TIF"is evaluated as TRUE for this condition:

    if(workingName.match(/^*(front)*$/) != null && workingName.match(/^*(square)*$/) != null)

    If(workingName.match(/^*(front)*$/)! = null & & workingName.match(/^*(square)*$/)! = null) {...}

    It makes no sense, it does NOT contain the word "square" for the second half of this condition and thus the entire thing, must be set to false. Instead it's the treatment the & & (and) one | (or).

    Is (regexMatch! = null & & otherRegexMatch! = null) wrong approach?

    I tried with this and the tiff was not serious:

    #target photoshop
    for (i = 0; i < documents.length; i++){
        var curDoc = app.activeDocument = app.documents[i];
        var workingName = curDoc.name;

        if(workingName.match(/(front)/g) && workingName.match(/(square)/g)) {alert(workingName +'   ' +1 +'   '+ workingName.match(/(front)/g) + '   '+workingName.match(/(square)/g) )}
        if(workingName.match(/(front)/g) && !workingName.match(/(square)/g)) {alert(workingName +'   ' +2 +'   '+ workingName.match(/(front)/g) + '   '+workingName.match(/(square)/g) )}
        if(workingName.match(/(back)/g) && workingName.match(/(square)/g)) {alert(workingName +'   ' +3)}
        if(workingName.match(/(back)/g) && !workingName.match(/(square)/g)) {alert(workingName +'   ' +4)}
        }

    If you use Acrobat 10 or 11 Pro "Recognize text" - on this file.

    Maybe the document has been parsed. A scanned document contains any text, it's just a picture. Recognize the text will make the optical recognition of characters (OCR) on the document, and then you can save as text.  You will have to look to find errors in the OCR.  Sometimes, he can hardly discern the characters.

  • Embedded font problem.

    I created a separate Flex project to isolate a part of my application I developed using TLF in my main project. In this single project and my main project, I refer to a library of Flex in my work space that behaves like my font library. I am using an external CSS file that is referenced by < fx:Style > in the < s:WindowedApplication > file. When I run this project, it renders styles (color and size) and police incorporated as expected.

    After a week or so to develop this project isolated I the integrated into the main approx. everything worked as it did in the isolated application, even styles (color and size) except the built-in police fails to be made!

    After a repair for a day and a half on this I can't think of any reason why this is. There are components FTE, right next to my TLF component, which use the same embedded fonts that try to use the TLF component!

    Y at - it something I should be looking for it will show th e reason for behavior?

    var res: XML = XML (xml.htmlText.children () [0]);
    var tf:TextFlow = TextFlowUtil.importFromXML(res,WhiteSpaceCollapse.PRESERVE);
    tf.renderingMode = RenderingMode.CFF;
    tf.fontLookup = FontLookup.EMBEDDED_CFF;
    txt.textFlow = tf;
    txt.textFlow.whiteSpaceCollapse = WhiteSpaceCollapse.PRESERVE;
    txt.textFlow.invalidateAllFormats ();

  • How can I change the text in a pdf document using an embedded font?

    I'm trying to edit text in a pdf document where the text is in a (Nimbus San) embedded font, but when I try to add some text in the text box, it appears in Minion instead of the police of San Nimbus.  I don't understand why I can't change by using the embedded font.

    The fonts are licensed assets subject to single use. They are not intended to share, redesigned, etc..

    As part of the PDF standard that they included in a document so that the document can be considered reliably without the police be installed on the viewing station.

    To change you must have fonts installed on your computer. The possibility for the second parties to use the police violate the licensing of fonts.

  • scan a document to a word document (* .doc) or text (*.txt) file?

    can I scan a document with hp c4780 to a word document (* .doc) or text (*.txt) file?

    Hello

    The model does not OCR functionality as part of the HP software.

    To scan the form of editable text, you will need to use any 3rd party OCR software.

    If you have Microsoft Office installed on your PC, most likely the suite will provide you with such a feature:

    1. Microsoft OneNote in Office 2010
    2. MS Office Document Imaging and Scanning in Office 2003 or 2007.

    Kind regards

    You have the fonts installed in the system. This has not changed. (Having the police is not always enough, but it is certainly necessary).

  • HTML "BOLD" text and regular on the Spark components with embeded fonts

    Hello!

    I took a quick glance to the textflow Flex 4 new (at least new to me).

    I use a spark textarea that is assigned to a style that uses a font embed, the problem is that when the textarea component renders the text marked in bold (using < span fontWeight = "bold" >) you lose the embeded font style.

    How to display bold text and text in the same text box using embeded fonts?

    Thanks in advance

    That's exactly what I was looking for:

    {@font-face}

    SRC:URL("..) ("/ assets/MyriadWebPro.ttf");

    fontFamily: myFont;

    embedAsCFF: true;

    }

    {@font-face}

    SRC:URL("..) /Assets/MyriadWebPro-bold.ttf");

    fontFamily: myFont;

    fontWeight: bold;

    embedAsCFF: true;

    }

    {@font-face}

    SRC:URL("..) /Assets/MyriadWebPro-italic.ttf");

    fontFamily: myFont;

    fontStyle: italic;

    embedAsCFF: true;

    }

    {.myPlainStyle}

    fontSize: 20;

    fontFamily: myFont;

    }

    {.myBoldStyle}

    fontSize: 20;

    fontFamily: myFont;

    fontWeight: bold;

    }

    {.myItalicStyle}

    fontSize: 20;

    fontFamily: myFont;

    fontStyle: italic;

    }

    so now I can put fonts on "myFont" style, and the Flash will be made to the police as a result.

  • Problem in the field of text with embedded fonts

    Hello world!

    I have a problem with the textField with embedded fonts.
    I use symbols of police created in the library, and they work very well with dynamic textfields.
    If I do an input textfield with these embedded fonts the following problem occurs:

    If I set the initial value of the textfield (.text) what it is not equal to "" everything works fine. Can I change the text inside.
    But if I put .text of the textfield input at the start of an empty string, I can't have the cursor in the textfield, because it cannot receive the focus.
    If I turn the texfield false embeddedfonts, everything works well, but it I can't use fields and custom fonts are looking terrible.

    Can you tell me any solution? I would also use my custom in the input textfields fonts...

    Use setNewTextFormat() instead of setTextFormat().

    Convert to PDF from word, the fonts are not included, the word doc record embedded fonts, but conversion does not incorporate fonts?  What should I do to get the embedded fonts?

    I used times new roman in word 2013.  New file.  Apparently the version of adobe that I use will not incorporate.  I use the version line.  I was told that I have to upgrade to Adobe Pro.  I'm dealing with a patent application, so I can't share the document.  The patent office cannot accept that documents with embedded fonts.  My drawings that have been scanned and then converted are a problem too because I get an error based on the size of the page (23.6 "x 32.4") and I am unable to reduce this size in files from Adobe.com.

    Unfortunately I signed up for this product that get these two converted documents and uploaded only to discover that the conversions will not download.

  • Question of embedding fonts when SWF is loaded into the charger

    Hello.

    I ran into a problem of the incorporation of police where all the text fields with embedded police disappear when the SWF file is loaded as a child into a parent SWF. When the SWF file is read directly as stand-alone or inside a container of page HTML, text fields display perfectly with embedded fonts. Just not if the SWF is loaded into another SWF. It's basically the way I joined the police:

    [Inside the document class]

    [Embed (source="/Library/Fonts/Arial.ttf", fontName = "FontVerdana", mimeType ="application/x-font-truetype")]

    public static FontVerdana: Class const;

    var theFont * = new FontVerdana();

    var myText:TextField = new TextField();

    var fmt:TextFormat = new TextFormat();

    FMT.font = theFont;

    myText.embedFonts = true;

    myText.setTextFormat (fmt);

    Incidentally, I either work on a Mac using Flex 3.5. Anyone encountered this problem? What can be done to fix this?

    See you soon,.
