The schema Validation utility affect the metadata repository database?

Hello

We have a separate database for our portal repositories and metadata. I ran the SVU both in mode CLEANING and REPORT on our DEV environment without any problems.

Is what I can't understand, if running the SVU in CLEANING mode change anything in the database metadata repository. All validation controls and cleanups that SVU is as far as I understand are in the database of the portal.

My hypothesis is correct? Or is there anything on the metadata repository database that changes of the SVU?

Any help will be appreciated.

Thank you.

CV

Just follow the standard recommendation.
Have a backup of the comic before you run the SVU; even if you used probably have to use it.

    Hi all

    I want to install a test environment with the following software products:

    WebCenter Capture 11.1.1.8.0

    WebCenter Imaging 11.1.1.8.0

    BPM 11.1.1.7.0

    SOA Suite 11.1.1.7.0

    Oracle Database Enterprise Edition Release 12.1.0.2.0 12 c

    I use the remote 11.1.1.8.0 to create the database schemas.

    When RCU checks the prerequisites, it comes up with a warning as follows:

    «The database you connect to, is one newer than the supported version.» See the matrix of certification for the supported DB versions".

    If I type 'ignore' on the message box, it stops the verification process will not continue. Also, if I type "Cancel" does the same thing.

    The error message displayed in the Message box is both below:

    UCR-6002: the database specified does not have the minimum requirement to load the metadata repository.

    UCR-6080: Global check prerequisites failed - requirement of verification for the specified database

    The database that you connect is a CDB that is not supported.

    Action taken:

    1. check again on the database character set and confirmed it is set up correctly for AL32UTF8

    2. the databases are supported for WebCenter 11.1.1.8.0 + 12.1.0.1, so the database version is supported.

    Hello

    See the explanation of the Oracle and the solution to this problem:

    Cause
    Running out of space in the MDS schema.

    This error does not necessarily indicate if or not you have enough space in the tablespace, it simply indicates that Oracle could not find an area large enough contiguous space where to fit the next measurement.

    Solution
    In SOA environment do firstly that all servers are down.

    1. start emctl console with command
    cmd >. oraenv
    cmd > emctl start dbconsole
    2 read the site configuration with order returned by the return command, something like https://host:1158 / em
    3. connect to the url in step 2 with credentials sys/eu1
    4. click on the Server tab
    5. click the storage on data files Section
    6. read the parameters for MDS schema, (in my case PS3_MDS, used 45,625 MB)
    7. click line MDS for your SOA Suite and then press Edit
    8. increase the size of the data file and apply

  • OAS 10 g metadata repository creation Assistant & database version question

    Hello

    I have to install Oracle Application Server 10.1.2.0.2 on a server that already has a database of Oracle 11 g running on it and I don't want to install a different database because of the load factor. I don't know if I could use this database
    (version 11g) for the metadata repository. I know that we can use an existing database for the repository of metadata using the metadata Wizard, but I'm a little worried about the version of the 11 g database as the application server and the creation of metadata assistant, both are 10.1.2.x.

    Your help is very appreciated.

    See you soon,.

    Omer

    OPNRRM 10.1.2.0.2 cannot be used to install a deposit in an 11g database. If you want to use OPNRRM with a 11g database 10.1.2.0.2, you will need to install a database 10g first, create the metadata repository and then upgrade the database to 11g. Not applicable in your environment as you already have an 11g database.

  • How to be notified of the ftping file schema validation failure in XMLDB

    Hi all

    Oracle 10.2.0.4

    We used RegisterSchema to register for an XSD. And we are ftp'ing the xml files in the database using port 2100 to load in the xmltype table.

    How should we deal with the case where the XML file fails validation schema for the FTP "put" of the process, as with an enumeration error? We want to save the error and warn users that the file failed to load due to an error in xml validation.

    Is there a log somewhere in Oracle who writes the error, as in the listener.log?
    Can we have the FTP process will return the error ORA-31038 that gets triggered when a xml schema validation error occurs?

    Thank you very much

    Troy

    This error is caught during the validation of light since we need to encode the value of the enumeration before we store. Therefore, it happens before any insert triggers fire. The only solution for this is 11.1.x using the repository event model.

  • Schema validation fails on the transformed XML document

    OK, this is weird.

    I get XML files that are supposed to conform to a given XSD. There are dozens of different parties who send these files. To be more precise, I refer to the Ontario Energy Board (OEB) PIPE Documents.

    I found that at least one sender sends invalid files. I can't that fixes to the source, so I'm working around that.

    for example
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <PIPEDocument  xmlns="http://www.oeb.gov.on.ca"
                              xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
                              xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.oeb.gov.on.ca/ PIPEDocument.xsd"
                              Version="4.0"
                              DocumentReferenceNumber="xxx" CreationDate="20110825100008000ES">
    <MarketParticipantDirectory>
    <Sender>
    ...
    Oracle is not like this:
    ORA-31154: invalid XML document
    ORA-19202: Error occurred in XML processing
    LSX-00344: namespace values "http://www.oeb.gov.on.ca" and "http://www.oeb.gov.on.ca/" differ
    OK, so to work around this problem, before schema validation, I apply an XSLT transformation to clean the top-level element:
    <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" xmlns="http://www.oeb.gov.on.ca">
    <xsl:output method="xml" indent="no"/>

    <xsl:template match="/">
        <xsl:copy>
          <xsl:apply-templates/>
        </xsl:copy>
    </xsl:template>

    <xsl:template match="*">
        <xsl:if test="local-name() = name()">
                <xsl:element name="{local-name()}">
                  <xsl:apply-templates select="@*|node()"/>
                </xsl:element>
        </xsl:if>
    </xsl:template>

    <xsl:template match="@*">
        <xsl:if test="local-name() = name()">
                <xsl:attribute name="{local-name()}">
                  <xsl:value-of select="."/>
                </xsl:attribute>
        </xsl:if>
    </xsl:template>
    </xsl:stylesheet>
    Nice: the fact that it is intended for:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <PIPEDocument xmlns="http://www.oeb.gov.on.ca"
                             Version="4.0"
                             DocumentReferenceNumber="50520110825080908VA0001.EBT"
                             CreationDate="20110825100008000ES">
    <MarketParticipantDirectory>

    If I now the schema validate the above transformed XML, then it validates OK.

    Large? No, if I try to turn on the fly (i.e. without first transformation and followed by reading in the transformed data from the file), I get a strange error:
    declare
     v_xml xmltype := xmltype(bfilename('ERS_FILE_LOAD_308', 'DecryptedFile-30873604.xml'), 0).transform(XDBURIType('/ERS_TEST01/PIPE/XSLT/V1.0/pre_validate_XSLT.xsl').getXML());

        end if;
    end;
    /
    ORA-31043: Element '' not globally defined in schema ''
    Exsqueeze me? What element in the schema?

    The transformation itself works very well. Specifically, if I run the following:
    select xmltype(bfilename('ERS_FILE_LOAD_308', 'DecryptedFile-30873604.xml'), 0).transform(XDBURIType('/ERS_TEST01/PIPE/XSLT/V1.0/pre_validate_XSLT.xsl').getXML()).getclobval() from dual;
    ... I get the desired result. Of course, if I save the result file and validate the fact that it works:
    declare
     v_xml xmltype := xmltype(bfilename('ERS_FILE_LOAD_308', 'DecryptedFile-30873604_manually_saved.xml'), 0);
     v_xsd_name varchar2(255) := 'PIPE/Power/V4.0/PIPEDocument.xsd';
    begin
    if v_xml.isSchemaValid(v_xsd_name) = 1 then
           dbms_Output.put_line('valid');
        else
           dbms_Output.put_line('invalid');

           --in order to get specific error info for a non-schema message need to convert the XML to schema based

           v_xml := v_xml.createSchemaBasedXML(v_xsd_name);

           v_xml.schemaValidate();

        end if;
    end;
    /
    I would like to join example XML file, but it contains customer data so I can't do that. I would fix the XSD but it is the nest of a rat of 50 XSD with includes and a 300 script online registration scheme, so I can't do that.

    What I'm missing here?

    That wouldn't be surprising. There are "few" bugs on the XSL transformation.
    Here's a recently posted: {: identifier of the thread = 2245703}

    The solution was to serialize the output and analyze again.
    So, what you describe on 'reading of a works file' makes me think it's the same kind of problem.

    You can also view the contents of the variable just after that:

    v_xml := v_xml.createSchemaBasedXML(v_xsd_name);

    Hi dbcapoeira

    I would say that the database user has no privileges on tablespace space.

    Something like:

    delete and create the user from a sql command prompt then "Grant unlimited tablespace to " DBA. then associate the repository

    (partner must do everything that creates it and inserts)

    (Grant "resource", used to give privileges on tablespace space, not in 12 c).

    You can create a table in the tablespace without data in 12 c as it is a metadata operation - no blocks are affected in the target tablespace.

    An "empty" from repository has a few entries of data such as its version number.

  • How to change the default repository and connect online

    We have a new installation of OBIEE 11 g on Linux and the Admin Client on Windows 7 (64 bit) tool. I am unable to connect 'online' to anything except the sample App Lite DB. By reading the docs, they describe navigation to a file .rpd on a Windows machine and import of metadata. I want to change the default repository in the sample App Lite that we created before installation.

    It's confusing because the step #1 installation for the server and the client was to have created the repository by using the remote control. This has been done, and the PB is on a Linux server. I'm confused by references to the creation of a repository at this stage, and/or importation of a repository. It is not on a windows machine to access to. am I right in thinking that the evolution of the 'default' repository via the EM console is the 1st step? Any tips will be appreciated.

    We have created a DSN on the BI server. Who should be on the DB server instead? The PB is on a different server. Are DSN for Server BI and DB server required?

    Thanks for any advice on this.

    Published by: baggirom on June 4, 2012 13:08

    Hello

    I think you're confused with multiple uses of the word repository. Here are the basic principles that can help you to distinguish

    1 repository per RCU: this is a set of tables/views/schema of database that stores information in this installation of OBIEE. Should be details like the current version of OBIEE, host name, track information usage etc.

    This is the place where the information would be stored related to most of the Fusion Middleware components. Yes, OBIEE, RTD, BIPublisher, weblogic, etc are part of Fusion middleware and so information connects to all of these components would be stored here so that they can easily be integrated, to communicate, to work seamlessly with each other.

    2. filing of OBIEE (.rpd): this is the metadata that you create for your business needs. It would have connections to different physical sources, business logic/processes, presentation tables/fields, users would be able to see in their reports. Basically, this could help you create various management reports. Administration tool is used to create this and so you need to connect to it in the future. (SampleAppLite being the .rpd by default at installation, you are able to see that only now).

    Hope this helps you understand the concept. I'm sorry, if I am wrong here.

    Thank you

  • How to synchronize the metadata of LR to bridge

    Hello. I have W7 64 bit, CS5 with ACR6.1 and LR 2.7. My Leica camera capturing in DNG natively. I use "Convert to DNG" import in order to take advantage of the lossless compression. I understand that the XMP sidecar files are not applicable and that the metadata is written into the header DNG. It's good for me, it should ensure that the metadata is always with my DNG, but I'm not sure how it affects the validity of any instructions, I found so far.

    Currently I use ACR and LR to develop files to take advantage of the new features and treatment until I can get LR3.

    I want to synchronize the development parameters. I learned to updated the metadata of files developed in ACR6.1 when I open them in LR2.7 but I can not work, how do the LR develop visible settings when I open the files in Bridge.

    Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I was unable to find the information in the forums or help so far.

    I'm also not sure if this is the best forum to post this, but he did not cross the. If I am better publish it on another forum, please excuse me and suggestions would be welcome.

  • Update the metadata of HFM 11.1.2.3

    Hello

    I update the metadata in HFM application. Version - 11.1.2.3 Classic application. I extracted the HFM workspace metadata and update dimension members by using the HFM desktop client.

    What will be the impact on the data if I'm changing the hierarchy in the app metadata file (I'm not remove all members.) Just create new members and change the hierarchy of existing members)? It erases data from HFM applications after loading the metadata file updated through the workspace?

    Thank you

    Michel K

    Hello. Your level of database will not be affected if you do not remove members at the basic level. For members of parent, if you change the descendants, it depends. If account or custom dimensions, everything is recalculated in the memory as requested, so the change is retroactive. For entities, it depends on if you help org by period and/or parent entities of locking. If one or both of those, entity hierarchy changes generally will not be affected. If you do not either of them, the hierarchy is affected, but you will need to rebind the data in order for the changes to be aggregated.
