The screen is empty, my used to start Satellite

I was in the middle of a game, when my screen went to a gray striped screen and my computer would not respond. I turned off and restarted and the screen then began to Flash the screen scratched, and now he won't answer when it is turned. Power light is on, but the screen is black.

What should I do?

For me his situation clear: the bulk of material s notebook (perhaps graphics card or motherboard) has started to malfunction.
I guess that the replacement of parts only would help you get the laptop running again.
I think that the technician should check the laptop first to understand what part is the troublemaker.

    Hi all

    I have a Toshiba TV 26EL800A purchased in May of this year. Tried to turn on the TV using the remote control mode standby (red light) to on (green light) that has the remote control - the screen remains empty (as there is no power) and after a few seconds the light changes again red - standby again.

    Tried this using the keys on the TV as well and the same thing (have checked batteries for remote control, checked PowerPoint (my dvd player works the same record 2 and it works) but don't know what else is causing the screen lights?)

    Any suggestions?

    I put t really know if you can find the solution here on the computer systems forum.
    What you can try is to unplug TV, leave for a while and check again.

    If the same thing will happen again and again I recommend to contact your local dealer and ask for help or contact the provider of Toshiba directly.

    Hi Bilipino,

    You have more than one display card? Try to connect your monitor to the another card and see if you can get the display.

    If the system or Mode restore safe work not and you do not have a Microsoft Vista DVD, make a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

    NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.

  • Regulation the screen showing empty in iphone 5 s

    My settings > General > regulatory screen showing empty (check screenshot below) is there someone tell me why it's like that

    It may be a bug or something like that. Try restarting/resetting your phone. This will not erase your data stored on that device.

    • Press and hold the sleep/wake button
    • Press and hold the Home button
    • Press and hold both buttons until the display turns off and on again with the Apple logo on the subject.

    Alternatively, you can go to settings - general - reset - Reset all settings

    If that doesn't work, restore your device to factory settings. Please note that this will delete the data on your device.

    Take a look this Apple Support article: use iTunes to restore the iPhone, iPad or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support.

    Literally just close the lid and open it upwards and it wouldn't boot windows. It is stuck at the screen HP saying it's diagnose my problem. Tried a soft reset and a hard reset when you remove the battery and put it again while it is unplugged. Did not help. I can't start in safe mode. I tried to do a restore which has been a success but it restarts when he says "there was a problem, restart your PC. I'm frustrated and reset a factory and the same factory reset was successful and was when he came back to 8.1 because it's the OS, I bought it with but then it still wouldn't let me in windows. I was going to try and start to repair, but if I had known this would require an administrator I'd never have done the factory reset. I know I've been reckless, but I just wanted to work. But yes, I don't know what the problem is. I feel like if it was a hardware problem is just something to keep windows to operate. Should I try a repair disk? Would that help?

    The SecretLight

    Hello;

    Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

    I read your post you need to grab your laptop and wanted to help - but we need more information.

    You said that your laptop came originally with Win10, but then later, you said you tried to go back to Win8.1, you can then said, it's the original OS.

    So, who was the original - Win8.1 or Win10?

    Ask because if it came with Win8.1 and you UPGRADED to Win10, while Microsoft tells you that there is no risk in the upgrade of Win10, because they allow you to believe that you can always go back to your original OS and setup within 30 days, the ugly matter faction is that the Win10 GoBack feature turned out to be unreliable - and when it fails She can let the machines in a corrupt State - which is not always the case, it happens often enough to be a problem, but you will get no warning beforehand that he goes to the trash your PC!

    The Win10 upgrade is known, in some cases, corrupt the partition of recovery that are stored by the OEM that built the original machine.  It's pretty much guarantee that no HP recovery will work.

    What will work restores your computer to its original factory state using HP recovery media. It is a set of DVD and a CD or a USB key, which will erase the hard drive (removing all data, applications and settings, reinstall the original OS, drivers and utilities for HP. In some cases, you will be able to order a USB instead of discs.  You must order at HP; they cannot be downloaded.

    You can look online for recovery from the paged media related: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers

    Once there, enter your product name or number. On your software page and download the drivers, select your operating system and version. Click on "Update".  If the HP recovery support is available for your computer, down near the bottom of the page, you will see an entry for the command Recovery Media-CD/DVD/USB. Click on the symbol '+' to expand this entty and click on order to press for more details.

    Or, if you prefer, you can do the same by contacting HP Customer Service:

    If you live in the United States or the Canada, details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html#section1

    If you live elsewhere, contact details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html

    NOTE: once you get through, stay on the line until you are finally able to talk to someone ' one - it can take a while!

    Good luck

    Hi - just bought laptop for my son (the Satellite L500 - 19 X with Win7 Home) preloaded and getting ready for Christmas.

    Hello

    I googled a little and found this:
    http://www.withinWindows.com/2009/03/15/Windows-7-to-officially-support-logon-UI-background-customization/

    The procedure is a little but delicate.
    You must change the registry.

    -Beginning of registry (Regedit.exe)
    -go to
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE-Software-Microsoft-Windows-CurrentVersion------authentication------LogonUI------background

    -Create a new DWORD value named OEMBackground
    -Double-click OEMBackground and set its value data to 1
    -Access register

    This allows you to include the screen background image (jpg)

    In C:\Windows\System32\oobe\info\backgrounds, you could include the jpg file.
    The file should be named backgroundDefault.jpg + +.

    Note: info and background folders don't exist by default. You must manually create these records. In addition, the images must be less than 256 KB!

  • Qosmio F60 - change the screen settings when you use the DVD player

    When I try to play a DVD using the DVD BD player a message that tell me to change the setting of the screen I followed their instruction to no availo. I am running Windows 7. The DVD plays on windows ok support.

    Any help would be appreciated

    Hi ametec.

    This DVD BD drive has been preinstalled on your computer?
    Which message get you exactly? Maybe you can download a copy of screen or something else

    In my opinion this problem is only related to this because the Media Player DVD player everything works
    For example, I use VLC media player for all my audio and video files. It s a small freeware player that can play most audio and video files. In addition it s not necessary to use a special DVD playback software.

  • By specifying the screen coordinates in printf using LabView RT 2009

    According to the 2011 help in LabView documentation 'Printf (Manager of LabVIEW function)", the character of the conversion of 'q' is supposed to refer to a point. The actual help text is "q Point (passed by value) as %d, %d, representing the coordinates horizontal, vertical. It is a valid conversion for LabView RT 2009 character? If so, then someone has an example of using these characters to print at line 10, column 1 on the console? I tried a lot of combinations like: printf ("% dqTest Row", (10.1)), etc.

    LabVIEW Real-time has not intrinsically a "console" - it has an "output stream.  There is no API added to allow you to jump all over the console in native mode (don't cross the streams) - you can't even do it with the functions of Manager of LabVIEW (literally, it prints a point in this place of pixel, not text).

    Now, I tell you this, but if you happen to have a target with a video memory (like a PXI system, certainly NOT a cRIO or PCP) and you happen to know the address of where the video memory is on your 0x0B8000 system, you can directly write ascii characters on the screen specific areas - just as they did in the days of DOS.

    #include
    #include

    void VGAChar(unsigned int row, unsigned int col, char c, unsigned char attr) {
        static volatile char *video_mem = (char *)0x0B8000;
        unsigned int pos = ((row * 80) + col)*2;

        video_mem[pos] = c;
        video_mem[pos+1] = attr;
    }

    void VGAString( unsigned int row, unsigned int col, char * str, unsigned char attr) {
        int i = 0;
        while (str[i] != '\0')
        {
            VGAChar(row+(col+i)/80, (col+i)%80, str[i], attr);   /* print each character */
            i++;
        }
    }

    int main (void)
    {
        char buffer[ 100 ];
        sprintf( buffer, "Hello, my DOS world!" );
        VGAString( 10, 10, buffer, FOREGROUND_BLUE | FOREGROUND_RED );   // prints in PURPLE at ROW 10, COL 10.

        return 0;
    }

    Of course, I don't condone this and it is certainly NOT taken in charge (and only works on targets based on the PharLap with a video console), but there is a lot of fun.
