  I have a few search engines in the search bar of firefox. I find it extremely annoying that whenever I have change the search engine, that it stays like this, even after restarting firefox.   Easier is to put the default engine for search engine preferred via the user.js file in the Firefox profile folder by copying the line user_pref() related to this file.
