The size of the library user & mobile Documents

Since his arrival in iCloud my library in my username is passed about 30 GB to 200 GB and I can see that the Documents Library Mobile is where the increase has disappeared.

Why is it so? Do this? I'm doing something wrong?

It caused my iMac almost double in size and my MacBook Air to completely fill the hard disk, because they share data using iCloud. There has been, I don't see any warning about it from Apple.

I use ver El Capitan 10.11.2

Help!

You add the documents to iCloud drive from a Mac? If so, note that everything in iCloud drive keeps a local copy on each Mac connected to this iCloud drive. iCloud Drive is designed as a method to synchronize documents across your devices rather than as a method of cloud storage only.

  • Strange problem with the default location of Documents

I have recently reinstalled Windows after a hard disk failure. Fortunately, I had previously moved the library of 'My Documents' to a secondary drive, so I don't lose anything. Merge all records (i.e. move the new default library to merge with the library on my secondary drive) seemed to cause some problems with some file search programs, then my new primary drive being much bigger than my old one that I decided just to move the library of My Documents from my drive C (the OS partition).

Here's the weird part: under start > Documents (right click) > properties, I have the save location set to C:\Users\MyName, which (I think) is normally by default when you install Windows. But if I click on "restore defaults", it switches to the root of one of my secondary drives (drive E).

This is problematic because some of my games can't seem to find my old safe. Backups are in Documents > my games, but instead to find there as it should the games create a new folder 'My games' in the root directory of drive E, although I still have My Documents to save the location defined in its usual location on my primary C drive.

So I think the problems are linked, and I can't understand why by clicking on "restore default settings" on the start menu > properties of Documents it would lead to the use of the root of my E drive as the location for all the files and folders "My Documents".

I carefully edit the registry to make sure that this value is set correctly. Be sure to include the name of the final folder ('Documents') in the path. If you simply specify your user folder, all your documents will be dump it instead of inside the real documents folder.

Is there a link to break to command libraries or a better way to do so? Symbols is too cumberospne to send an email whenever it is updated, and for each person to have to manually install. • In the library grayed out paragraph styles

I have a few paragraph styles in my library that have been created in Illustrator. In Photoshop, they are grayed out and cannot be applied.

How can I get these styles of the library to work in Photoshop?

    styles.gif

Paragraph styles are simply not one of the types of library that supports Photoshop. Note the bottom of the library panel in Photoshop and Illustrator, you will see a different set of icons representing the types of items that you can add to the library from a document (and so who can be added in a document).

    For Photoshop, these are:

Graphics, Style of character, layer Style, and foreground color.

(See: cloud creative libraries in Photoshop)

    For Illustrator, these are:

Graphics, paragraph Style, character Style, and foreground color.

  • Documents missing from the library folder?

Hi, I accidentally deleted the my library folder documents folder.

I can now no longer at all public folders or my documents to the user. is there a way to restore without killing all the files?

I can still find documents C:\Users\Public\Documents and C:\Users\Ross\Documents etc.

    Help, please!

    Ross

Go to C:\Users\Ross, right-click the Documents folder, then choose ' include in library: Documents ".  Do the same for the public folder.

  • My Documents disappeared from the library, although I can see them in the C drive

The other day I copied all 'my documents' to another drive (for backup).   Now, when I try to use my library, he thinks that I have MOVED my documents on the backup drive.

When I open the library in my C drive, it only shows public documents (for my homegroup).  The 'my documents' part of the library is empty.

When I try to open 'my documents' by going to users/username/mydocuments, I get "access denied".

How to restore my library of C:MyDocuments?

PS: If I right click on 'My Documents' there is NO tab 'LOCATION '.

If you open Windows Explorer, right-click on the document library, you should be able to select properties and display records that are included in this library.

Then you should be able to add the original documents to the library folder and keep the backup location or delete the new backup location.

If you view the security settings for the My Documents folder, does show your user as the owner account?  This is perhaps the reason for the lack of tab location and access denied...

Is there a location tab the new backup location?

Before a system restore, you may be able to restore just a previous version of the My Documents folder by right-clicking and selecting previous versions of restoration or by selecting Properties from the context menu and by selecting the tab of previous versions Derek Schauland, MCSE | Microsoft MVP - file system storage | Technology Addict

My computer (drive C) is a 9 GB of satiety, and I need to reclaim space for data.  Can I safely delete the files in the folder of reconstituted under my documents document library?

If not, how can I recover more disk space?

    Hello

You must understand a basic first concept.

Libraries in Windows 7 do not contain the physical files. They show only a virtual display of the physical files that are contained in other physical files that have been added to the library.

    Example:

By default, the Document library displays the files that are contained in the C:\Users\your utilisateur\Mes Documents folder and the folder C:\Users\Public\Public Documents .

If you simply right click and delete the Document library, it will not add any free space on the C: drive.

To add free space on the C: drive, you need to remove the C:\Users\your utilisateur\Mes Documents to the folder that contains the actual files.

Before you do, make sure that you have backed up the files you do not want to lose.

The best way to add free space on the C: drive, would be to move the Documents and other user folders to another drive internal or external.

Some mobile devices won't be able to open it at all, but if it is open, the quality is not affected.  Please note and understand the warning you get when you set security: indeed, it is largely ignored by many apps.

  • The lost user library folder

I am trying to rebuild my system on a second internal hard drive.  I often need items from my current user library but am not able to access while in the new system.  As a work around, I tried to copy the former library of the user towards a third hard drive.  But when I try to access it on the third hard drive it is still hidden.  The third hard drive has no system software other than the user library that I copied here.  Is it possible to access?

Open the folder that contains, choose go to folder from the Finder menu and provide the library as the path.

  • How can I transfer the ownership of the library of photo shared to another user?

I work in a school and create a library of shared photos to easily collect and safely store the picture throughout the school. My experience was a success and the school would like to take formally. Is it possible to transfer the property of the library of photo to another user?

What type of photo library is it?

    iPhoto? Photos?

I don't know it is really a matter of property, or are you talking about just technically?

  • After update of firefox mobile, I found that the modified user interface, is there a way to push back on mobile?

I decided to update my firefox for android fotvthe flash support, but when I did I found the interface changed, now I want to go back, but unlike in I can't find older program versions for the desktop version.
also, I should mention the problem of text entry that showd this version where the cursor is at the beginning of the first line to the place where im typing.

    Hello

It is not an option for the old user interface on the new version, but you can get older versions here:
    https://FTP.Mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/Mobile/releases/
But, we don't recommend that you use the old version because they are insecure, so take that into account if you decide to restore.

For the text of entry question, can you tell me the brand and model of your device and if you use a special keyboard on any?

    Thank you!

  • The file size of Photos library don't to shrink when I remove the images from the library

Subject line pretty much sums up it.  Let's say I have create a library of Photos and import of 100 photos. The file "Library.photoslibrary Photos" grows to a certain size, as expected. But if I remove some of these pictures does not take the size of the file photoslibrary. If I import images more library file grows again, but it never reduces when I delete the images from the library. This happens with both a library of referenced files and images copied to the library.

    What happens here?

You must either wait 30 days or go to the recently deleted album and remove not for the final to do deletion

and note that Photos doesn't manage referenced good libraries, it was reported here that they can use more space than a managed library and they are not recommended

  • Access to the library of the user on the backup drive

I need to access my preferences of old logic disk clone.  I know that if I worked this system I would just press option/GB and I could access the user library but I try to access to the outside, the last time I tried to restart from that clone drive it wouldn't work.

Open the copy in your folder on this drive, choose go to folder from the Finder menu and provide exactly the library as the path.
