The file size of Photos library don't to shrink when I remove the images from the library

Subject line pretty much sums up it.  Let's say I have create a library of Photos and import of 100 photos. The file "Library.photoslibrary Photos" grows to a certain size, as expected. But if I remove some of these pictures does not take the size of the file photoslibrary. If I import images more library file grows again, but it never reduces when I delete the images from the library. This happens with both a library of referenced files and images copied to the library.

What happens here?

You must either wait 30 days or go to the recently deleted album and remove not for the final to do deletion

and note that Photos doesn't manage referenced good libraries, it was reported here that they can use more space than a managed library and they are not recommended

I'm unable to remove the protection, when I open the file - properties - security. I don't have an option to remove protection, how can I remove it?

    Hi aymana10507726,

With player application you can not remove the protection.

However, you can perform using Acrobat application.

    Remove password security

You can remove security from an open PDF if you have the permissions to do so. If the PDF is secured with a security policy based on server, only the author of policy or a server administrator can change.

Open the PDF file, and then click Tools > Protect > Encrypt > remove security.

Your options vary depending on the type of password security attached to the document:

If the document contains only a Document open password, click OK to delete the document.

If the document contains a permissions password, type it in the box, enter the password, and then click OK. Click OK again to confirm the action.

  • Why is my migrated size smaller photo library?

    Hello

I've migrated just my iPhoto for pictures library. He created a new photo library, but it is quite a bit smaller than the migrated iPhotos library. This concerned me. According to Finder, the old library of iPhotos is 105 GB and the new photo library is 90 GB, for a difference of 15 GB. I read in a few places online that said that two libraries should be about the same size. However, I opened the two libraries in their respective applications and did a 'get info' check, and they say they have the same number of photos, videos, size of storage and date range (3870 photos, 658 videos, 84 gb, from date date X). What is the cause of this difference between the two libraries 15 GB Finder?

    Thank you!

He could have a big iPod photo in your iPhoto library cache, if synchronize you with iTunes library.  See this link:

  • Cannot find denied Photos that don't has not somehow be removed from the drive.

Hi, I have checked an answer for this but have not found one. I used the flag to reject the method, then went to "delete rejected photos", selected, remove the disc, I think. But, these photos are still on the drive, and they are more in the region with indicator should be deleted. The filter didn't come with something, I want to get rid of it for the drive, but I can't find them. Where would they be? I can't find where the rejected photos would be stored.

They are no longer in the LR module, but appear in BR...

I don't really want to have to delete everything by hand - new!

    Thank you

If they are still in their folder on the disc, you can right-click on the folder in Lightroom and choose "Synchronize folder." This will allow you to re - import all the images that have been deleted, but not deleted.

Once the images are re-imported, they will appear at a glance in the Catalog under "Previous import." Panel You can view the files, select all, and then delete again (this time by choosing "remove disc".)

A bit tedious, but no manual required sorting.

  • When I do Favorites, the web page saved in the folder I choose and also in the list of favorites, so I remove two long list that I don't need, and when I remove a list there also in the other list

I like my list of tab bookmarks to organize and do not have the same website to be double time

When you create a bookmark, it will be shown in 2 places, there is no overlap of the bookmark, and then coming in "recently bookmarked" is as an index of the most recently created bookmarks:

    • the regular bookmark
    • the automatic query of your existing bookmarks in "recently set bookmark".

When you create a bookmark with a tag, the tab will be shown in 2 places, there is no duplication with the bookmark or tag, the recent "Tags" is like an index of latest brands:

    • the regular bookmark
    • the automatic query of your bookmark existing "recent Tags".

My only suggestion is, if the smart folders "Recently set bookmark", "Most visited" and "Recent Tags" are concerning you or creates confusion for you, you can right-click on these files, individual items not in these three files, but the files themselves and choose Delete. Then you need more these 3 smart folders showing and that can end your confusion about the smart folders.

I don't have any other suggestions or information for you, as it appears that you have either not well read or understand not smart folders that I posted earlier, or information we are not 'communicate '. If the post above and those which precede this post do not resolve your question, maybe someone on the forum can explain it in a way that you can understand.

  • Removal of old photos of the iPhone with iCloud photo library on

I had a 6 128 GB iPhone for a couple of years and I bought a Macbook Pro about a year ago. I've been running iCloud photo library - but not Photostream - and without really look deep into the settings exactly, when I take pictures on my phone they usefully automatically found in the Photos app on my macbook. When I remove photos from my phone, they also seem to disappear too from my mac.

Recently, in an arrangement of happy until I started running low on space on my phone. My question is, is my library in 'mirror' between my devices? IE if I say, delete all my photos from 2012 to 2014 my phone, they are removed from my macbook too? Obviously, it would be disastrous.

I guess my question is, what are the best settings to have a situation where my photos will be driven by my phone to my laptop, but then stored on my laptop indefinitely?

    Any help is appreciated.

    Hello

When you use iCloud photo library, deletion of a photo or a video on any device that uses the service will remove this item in all of them and also to iCloud.

The following resources may help explain how the photos and videos are managed by iCloud photo library, including the possibility to optimize the storage on your iPhone:

To manually import pictures to your laptop, you can follow the steps detailed here:

  • Place .jpg of PS CS3 to the IllusCS3 file size question

    Newbie here-Good Morning

I have created a doc in Illustrator which will be finally saved as a pdf for viewing online.  PS, I am increasing the ppi images from 72 to 300 as well as decreasing its size, average savings quality jpg and I get a file size about 175 k (perfect for me).  When I place the image in Illustrator and save the file, I get an overall document file size increase of more than 800 k.

Is it possible to avoid this?

    Thank you!

I wouldn't worry. You can always "optimize" the PDF file in Acrobat to reduce its size. If you need to do in artificial intelligence, the trick is to make good use of the resampling options in the PDF saver. If you type to match the parameters, then it should correctly recognize JPEG images as already being the size and the correct resolution and not resample the, but nest them with their initial size.

  • Relink 'Library of Photos' to iCloud photo library

This question relates to a clean install of Mac OS Sierra

I have my library of Photos in pictures file, and there all my uploaded images. When I format my computer, how can I create a link to this file with iCloud photo library, so I don't have to download anything new?

I still did not understand the exact procedure for this and want to avoid download it all again as I have in the past. There must be a way to link to the top, since I downloaded them all already.

    You can not

If you restore a library or repair one that it triggers a total upload to make sure that everything is in harmony, there is no way to avoid that - you just start a new library and let ICPL fill the iCloud - he loses people and all

    Hi Brian,.

I created a bug for this issue report.  We will try to address the issue in a future version of Acrobat DC for iOS.

In the meantime, would you use the web interface to convert your photos into PDF files?

    1. Open Safari on your iPhone.
    2. Go to https://cloud.acrobat.com
    3. Sign in with your Adobe ID
    4. Select the create a PDF file.
    5. Press "select files to convert to PDF.
    6. Tap "choose the files on my computer".
    7. Select the photos that you want to convert.
    8. Tap done.

The converted PDF documents will be stored in the cloud of Document.

Please consult the following document to change the location of the file to cloud Document in Acrobat DC for iOS.

Sorry for the inconvenience.  Hope the option to create a PDF file via the web interface is a possible workaround for you.

  • Jump crazy file size, bug in yet

Hi, Encore CS4 is my problem.

I made a DVD for the year with a 20-minute film created in first. The 20-minute film has music and Visual countdown. The film is on DVD only three times (three different times), so that I can have a total of 65 tracks of subtitles on the three films - the subtitles tracks tell me what exercise is planned, and so there are 65 different workouts.

During playback, I choose the subtitle tracks with three different menus, which are completely static - no animation, no music. Buttons to choose what subtitle track will be used and that the track audio (there are three different audio tracks).

All this works fine, I have burned several copies of the disc, make menu settings bit here and there. There's almost a full space on the DVD concert when I do these discs. The problem is that this last time, I decided I want to export my project as a disc image, instead of burn directly to DVD. I will pause here to say that I used the function extract project just before the selection of the disk image, and there is no problem.

As soon as I chose the export as a disk image, the size of the "DVD-ROM content" (menus, subtitles) which was previously about 350 KB, climbed up to more than 41 gigabytes. So now my project is too large to fit on a single DVD, of course, and I couldn't make it go down.

It's crazy how it is. I recorded everything in a new project and systematically removed the entire project: three timelines, menus, subtitles, so that there was literally no content any left on the disc. The project always told it is large 41 gigabytes.

So, is that nobody knows how to reset the file size counters, counters, I don't know even what to call... anything I don't have to rebuild from scratch? And Yes, I continued to use "Check project" and it keeps telling me that I have deleted parts of the project that it is still too big.

    Thank you

    Chris

The ROM content is not the menus etc. This is a completely separate option to add the material to the disc which is not part of DVD playback.

There is a bug for some users of Mac, but you got that from the beginning. So I suspect that when you changed a disk image and specified the location to save it to, you accidentally added something to the area of disc ROM If this is the case, simply remove the ROM section on the building Board, and you should be fine again.

If it makes no sense to me, post a screenshot of the Panel generate.

  • During the "offering" an image from Photoshop CS3

When I "place" an image from Adobe Photoshop into a document in InDesign CS5 it's blurry. The picture is not blurred in Photoshop. Why this might be happening? Appreciate any help! I also tried to put the same picture in InDesign CS2 and it is blurred. Must the version of Photoshop (CS3) be identical to the version of InDesign (CS5)? Thank you!

  • If I use iCloud photo library to share photos on my Mac, make the stay of the files full original size on my Mac or they stored in the cloud?

If I use iCloud photo library to share photos on my Mac, make the stay of the files full original size on my Mac or they stored in the cloud?

    Thank you!

The photos full size will always go to the cloud. They also remain on (or download) your Mac depends on if 'Download this Mac originals' or 'Optimize Mac storage' is ticked in Photos > Preferences > iCloud. If it is enabled, it also depends on how much storage is available on your Mac.

  • Deletion of images does not reduce the size of the photo library

I deleted about one third of my images from my library of Photos (Yes, I went to the "Recently deleted" and clicked on "Delete All") but his 45 GB in size was not afraid significantly at all.

Is there a hidden method or even the third parties who may release and utilities compact the photo library?

Is your photo library a library iCloud with optimization of the storage activated?

In this case, you don't have much control over the storage you use.

Just to be sure - if you remove photos from albums, did you remove it using 'delete album' or 'remove... photos "?

The key to delete only delete album - pressing command + delete will delete the library.

And if your photo library is a migrated iPhoto library or an Aperture, the storage library won't be released, if you delete the photos in both libraries, because the photos in both libraries are connected by hard links.
