The Skype toolbar installation.

I didn't get a useful answer until now. Windows XP Service Pack 3 version 5.1. I used to own and use Skype without problem for a couple of months.  Last week it stopped abruptly with still photography and the cursor is not only not able to move anywhere.  I restarted the computer.  Tried to uninstall because I lost all the contacts from the contact list and add didn't work like the other side we couldn't see it as 'connected' even though he showed us that green us.  Uninstall Skype toolbar was not done at all as he showed "problem with this windows installer package.  Required to complete the installation script could not be run.  Fatal error occurred during installation "."  The same message comes when I tried again and again to install Skype and tool bar, the message appears as the bar installation tool starts, stopping at half way through.  Skype name is nrravi920.  Skype has been downloaded successfully in another computer at another location in the same State with the same name for another two days before this incident.

Thanks for a solution, if anyone can help me with this.

    Hello daisymendoza,

    You asked several questions.
First, what is your operating system? It is 32-bit or 64-bit? What service pack you have installed?

You run the Windows Installer Cleanup utility? Did you remove Skype?

Your notes, I think that you have run SFC/scannow and found some corrupted files. You will need the Vista DVD to replace the files.
Use the following article to repair the corrupted files.
Article 929833 - how to use the System File Checker tool to resolve missing or damaged on Windows Vista or Windows system files

    For Windows Installer errors:
The problem may be that the execution of Script VB is not registered on your Vista PC.  The possible solution is to locate and to register VBScript.dll.
To do this, click Start, click programs, accessories principally made, right-click Guest, and then click Run as administrator.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.
At the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER:
    Regsvr32.exe c:\windows\system32\vbscript.dll

Now check again and see if you can install the Skype toolbar.

Please answer back with an update.

  • Impossible to uninstall the Skype 5.5 toolbar

I installed Skype 5.5 which requires not in its installer to install toolbars in the browser (as in previous versions), but in the latest version it also does not install them as another application that can be uninstall individually from the application itself, or uninstall it with the main application. It does not either of the entry in the list of extensions.

Restore default toolbars is not resolved and I am getting error on start - TypeError: components.classes['@ ['@softage.ru/skype/SkypeFfExtension;1'] is not defined with or without Skype installed.

    Thank you.

«.. . "but in the last version, it also does not install them as a separate application that you can uninstall individually from the application itself.

Actually, is it possible that you are looking for the right place for the uninstall program? I also found it at first, because I was looking for something like "Skype click to call" in the list of programs to uninstall... In fact, it is listed as 'Click to call with Skype' (it is so under 'C' in the alphabetical list, no "S"). I think it's a little different from the old Skype toolbar, but I hope that what you are looking for, because it is automatically installed with the update of Skype 5.5.

I wonder if Skype has a good reason to create a confusion by the presence of a deletion process of different add-on than what is typical for the vast majority of the other modules in Firefox. My guess is that because it is not installed within Firefox, it also can be uninstalled like that.

I have not lived the error you made, but I experienced the annoying behavior / installing an add-on during an update to Skype without asking me if I wanted to first the add-on (or at least the option was not obvious) - particularly unscrupulous bad, given the problems of performance and stability issues in web browsers by the latest versions of Skype add-ons/toolbars.

That's fine if Skype thinks that their new version of the add-on is now rock solid, but self-confidence is not a reason to change my web browser, which is an essential tool in my daily... let that decision related to my confidence in the question of whether they deserve another chance or not Thank you!

  • Why the new Nectar search toolbar installs in Firefox 25?

I used the Nectar with Firefox search bar because it was introduced without any problem at all. Nectar have recently introduced a new search toolbar to replace the previous version, and although I re-installed 3 times on my PC, Firefox (Windows XP Pro) will not pick it up or to recognize.
I checked with the Nectar, and it is not their problem, especially since the new toolbar works perfectly on my PC even if I use Internet Explorer!
Nectar assure me of their toolbar IS compatible with Firefox 25.0.1 which is what I use.
    Help!
    Barry

It now exposes a new (unwanted) behaviour. He repeatedly asked the nectar card number, but no longer displays the number of points accumulated (or said to enter the search term). Sometimes he apologizes that it cannot save the Nectar card at the present time, but whatever it is, it seems not possible to get all the points at all at the moment.

BTW, I got a response, but it was just for the effect that they they were sorry that I was having a problem and to address the issue.

It may well be a link between these issues and the fact that he repeatedly loses my Nectar account password, I have to say that I "forgot" and reset who works sometimes, sometimes not. All this is more than a bit more flaky it seems.

  • How to load Firefox version I was using before the update for Firefox 29? The Norton toolbar has worked in the last version, but not in Version 29.

I've just updated to 29 of Firefox. Since the update the Norton Toolbar is no longer compatible. The Norton toolbar has worked in the last version of Firefox that I had installed. Is there a way to get back to the last version of Firefox where this toolbar is compatible and keep all the settings (favorites) in the old version I am reloading? All my passwords (99) are in the toolbar Norton Safe ID. Now I can not connect to many Web sites.

Hello jimb01, yes norton supports only the stable versions of firefox and Firefox 29 you are using the beta version of the browser. You can download the normal version of firefox 28 of https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/channel/#firefox and install it on top of your current installation...

  • I can't get rid of the AOL toolbar. I use FF 14.0.1. The solutions posted for older versions of FF do not work.

It is a problem that occurs on my wife's computer, not this one. The only difference on this computer, it is who has a D-Link USB adapter, as it is connected to our network via a wireless router. Who would have something to do with the problem? The installation of the D-Link program could bring along the AOL toolbar with it?

I'm not sure of the source of the AOL toolbar, but in General, you should be able to disable at least (hide), if not completely remove the bar.

  • Remove the Yahoo toolbar in Firefox 12

I can't get rid of the Yahoo toolbar in Firefox 12. It does not arise in extensions or add-ons.

I have eliminated all programs of Yahoo (toolbar, IM and update programs) in the Control Panel Add/Remove programs.

I restarted Firefox in safe mode. There is still no Yahoo modules or Extensions that appear.

I then went to help. Troubleshooting information | See file

I clicked on the record Show.

There is a folder called "Yahoo! Inc.". When I open Yahoo Inc., there is another folder called ytoolbar. I deleted Yahoo! Inc. when Firefox was open and it was closed. As soon as I restart Firefox, the file of Yahoo Inc. is recreated.

I can't remove the Yahoo Inc. folder permanently.

    It is an invasive program.

How can I get rid of him?

The problem is resolved. I deleted a subdirectory in the Extensions folder, even if no extension was visible. Here is a screenshot:
    http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/319/extensionssubdirectoryamw.jpg

    Here's where the folder:
    C:\Users\KHS\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\is9gtev5.default\extensions

The subdirectory highlighted contained a lot of Yahoo. So I just blew the whole subdirectory. The other key point is that the subdirectory is born at the date of installation of Yahoo.

    Problem is solved.

You have now two folders of Bookmarks Toolbar. One of the installation of Firefox (the main one) and a 2nd file to import a bookmarks.html file.

When I connect to my gmail, I use the google toolbar in firefox 7, but I can't use google bookmark and the sign showing no gray green. Whenever I want to using google bookmark, it's always written connect. How to fix? Thank you very much!

Google has decided that they will produce is no longer the toolbar for Firefox 5 and newer version. It is better to move on to other alternatives to try any "hacks" in the toolbar which may or may not work in the future. Future versions of the Google toolbar works only with IE7-9. Google toolbar is not available on all other browsers, even own Google browser.

You may need to update some plug-ins. Check your plug-ins and update if necessary:

  • I had all my precious bookmarks and apps on the google toolbar and now with Firefox 5 I learn that the google toolbar is not compatible with firefox! Google is in the cloud. Have you cut us to the Cloud?

On my previous Firefox browser I mainly used applications on the google toolbar, not Yahoo, one that is not as good as the google toolbar. Now, the google toolbar disappeared and when I tried to download, he said that it is incompatible with Firefox 5. I noticed there are a number of queries on this subject, but no solution found. I'm sure you can give an update to allow us to recover our toolbar with all our info stored. Otherwise, I might have to use IE.

Many users have gotten the function of the Google toolbar again by installing the Add-on Compatibility Reporter. Google just needs to test the toolbar with Firefox 5 and change something in their code specifying the versions of Firefox with which it is compatible.

    Add on Compatibility Reporter: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/add-on-compatibility-reporter/
