Do a system restore. Take the date when you do NOT have such a problem as your restore point.

Start button > Search box, type System Restore > press the Enter key > uac prompt > click on choose a different restore point > next > select dates as your restore point, until the click > next > finish
To sit and wait. The machine restarts when it's done.

  • BUG: The task bar is not updated

With the help of Windows 8 as it is downloaded yesterday. When you use IE10 launched from the desktop, the taskbar does not update the time in the lower right or update the names of sites web/programs open. We must return to the start screen, then returns to the desktop for the taskbar to update properly, but only at this time (it does not keep up-to-date)

The day after my announcement there was an update of Windows and the problem seems to go away for now. Using a Microsoft account (Live.com), that happened when opening folde3rs or other applications, not just IE and date and the time have been properly updated on my PC, but not on the taskbar.

  • The task bar is not hidden even with active auto-hide

Hide automatically is enabled and yet the taskbar remains high and sometimes hide vital information.  It's really annoying.

    Thank you.

This sometimeshappens to you?  Don't ask me that why, I'm just a former truck driver, but there are a few programs that make the stick of the taskbar. Fits in my case Windows updates. I hope that this is a bug which will be addressed, but until, and in this case, I use this work around.

1 expect that no matter what etcetera copy, deletion, renaming of files, at the end.
    2. press Ctrl + alt + delete.
    3. Select .
    4. Select the 'process '.
    5. find 'explorer' and in the end this process. Disappears from the taskbar. (This will also close the Windows Explorer Windows, some error messages and etcetera copy, deletion, renaming of files that may be running.)
    6. Select the "Applications" tab
    7. click on
    8. Type [Explorer] without the brackets.
    9. click on

  • Firefox does not open in full screen on the task bar and I have to go over it to see the web page.

Firefox does not open in full screen on the task bar and I have to go over it to see the web page.

Firefox window is sometimes "off screen" somehow. Often, you can force it to appear on the screen by right clicking on the thumbnail image just above the taskbar and choose expand. Does it work?

A possible cause for this is that the file that stores the positions and sizes of window is corrupt. You can delete this file and Firefox will return to standard window resizing.

#1 method: If you can get a zoomed window:

Open the settings folder (AKA Firefox profile) current Firefox help

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
    • (menu bar) Help > troubleshooting information
    • type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter

In the first table of the page, click on the view file"" button. This should launch a new window that lists the various files and folders in Windows Explorer.

Leave this window open, switch back to Firefox and output, either:

    • "3-bar" menu button > button "power".
    • (menu bar) File > Exit

Pause while Firefox finishing its cleanup, then rename xulstore.json to something like xulstore.old. If you see a file named localstore.rdf, rename this to localstore.old.

Launch Firefox back up again. Windows normally appear again?

#2 method: If you can not get a Firefox window for all:

Close Firefox by right clicking the icon in the taskbar > close all windows.

Using the Run dialog box (windows key + R) or the start search bar menu type or paste the following and press Enter to drill down to the profiles folder:

    %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

Here you can see a folder - in this case, double-click that - or more than one case - in this case, double-click on in what looks like the most recently updated.

Scroll down and rename xulstore.json to something like xulstore.old. If you see a file named localstore.rdf, rename this to localstore.old.

Launch Firefox back up again. Windows normally appear again?

Then, to re - light bars, you can use one of the following methods to view the list of the toolbar, and then select the desired bars it:

To activate the menu bar, toolbar bookmarks or other bars, click it in the list.

I am running windows vista. By chance, I deleted my toolbars at the top of the screen (not the task bar) lower. • Not maximizing the task bar when you click on Windows Explorer

When I place the mouse on the icon of the program in the taskbar Windows Explorer the small preview window/s is displayed but will not maximize in a large window.  When I click on it or right click "optimize" on the spotted, that nothing is happening.

In fact, probably we maximize or restore, but off the screen where you can not see.  This happened to me sometimes as well.

    Try this:

    1. hold SHIFT key and right-click on the icon in the task bar (or right click on the preview you did).
    2. choose the entrance to restore if it is not gray.
3 hold down the SHIFT key and click again on the icon in the taskbar.
    4. now, choose the entry of moving.
    5. without doing anything else, press one of the arrow keys (for example, the arrow on the left) of the keyboard.
    6. without anything click, move the mouse.  Your window should appear on the screen.
    7. click on the mouse to move the window, then you can resize or other to be where you want.

I suspect that this is a problem in several screen of Windows 7 support, and that the window actually believes that it is off on another monitor, even if you have no other active monitor.

  • The program window is not visible

Hello. I use Windows XP Professional. Two days, I am facing a problem that when I open the files of a particular extension, it appears on the taskbar, but the current window on the desktop is not visible. I tried to maximize, minimize, and restore options by clicking on the task bar, but nothing happens. When I use the move option, the cursor changes to move the cursor and is placed on the upper left corner.

Files opened properly until recently. Someone has an idea - please help. Thank you.

Great! It worked. Thank you, Bruce! I really appreciate your help.

Several months ago the button, if that's what it's called, the task bar that displays hidden icons has stopped working. Can I get a virtual device driver format in the registry is incorrect when you use a disk with the drivers on this subject. I found information on how to correct this problem and now the botton of task bar work again although it works until the computer is used for a while. How is the hidden icon button suppose to work or it should be visible all the time? Also the virtual device driver registry entry has something to do with it? I think that the problem of the DMV has installed a Norton program antivirus software that was on a disc that came with the computer.

    Hello

1 have had any changes made to your computer before this problem?

I suggest you try the methods mentioned below and check if it helps:

    Method 1:

You can also scan your computer the Microsoft Security Scanner, which would help us to get rid of viruses, spyware and other malicious software.

The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

    Hope this information is useful.
