The update to Acrobat pro 9.9.5 install not on El Capitan

Version 9 was working fine on my old iMac, with the latest updates, but I have problems, put it back on my new iMac (with El Capitan). It can be installed from the disc without any problems, but when I checked the updates and tried to install 9.5.5, it starts the process but then just installation gets stuck. (No movement on the blue bar at the end of an hour). I reinstalled the program from the disk again and tried again, but it's exactly the same thing. The core of the disc program works very well, but because updates are in part on security, I guess that it is not recommended. I would be very grateful for advice on how to solve this problem.

HiDebbie Pullinger,

Acrobat 9 is not compatible with OS X El Capitan. You can buy Adobe Acrobat DC that is compatible with OS X El Capitan. For more details, please see Adobe Document Cloud | Adobe Acrobat DC

  • Security issue after the update to Acrobat Pro 9.5.0 in 9.5.1

BACKGROUND:  I have a MacPro running OS x 10.6.8.  I now have Acrobat Pro 9.5.1.  When I tried to upgrade from Acrobat Pro 9.5.0, I got an error message that says that my application could not be updated because it had been "modified" or a Word to that effect.  He told me to reinstall Acrobat Pro.  Dutifully, I inserted the disc of Installation 1 and started the chore.  He stopped and asked me to disable several security features because the installation could not go ahead until what I did.  I did as I was instructed and the installation was successful, including the update of all 18 Acrobat 9 Pro updates (Adobe don't use the Combo updates to relieve the consumer of such a daunting task?) But I digress...

The problem is that, since I've done this installation and update, I tried to keep the security elements, I was instructed to turn off and I turned everything I could remember on.  It seems I missed one or more, because, when I now run MacScan, I get as high as tracking cookies detected twelve requiring a kidnapping where I received virtually no front.  I run MacScan daily and sometimes more often.  Since the update to Acrobat, I dared not unfamiliar web sites.  I went to my regular sites, but I must have forgotten to close a hole somewhere The QUESTION: can someone list all the safety measures that must be disabled before you install and update Acrobat?  I'm puzzled and I hate to be rejected which prevented the I.

    Hi John,.

We generally recommend disable antivirus when you install or update our software as often times anti-virus software may complicate installations.  There is no further safety we recommend for normal installation of our software.

I'm an apologist for the tedious process of update.  We approached it with Acrobat X where all updates are cumulative, but obviously likely a good consolation after the long task of updating to Acrobat 9.  In case you need to reinstall Acrobat 9 in the future, you can choose to ignore the restart request.  This will make the process much faster update for you.

  • After update to open the files PDF Acrobat PRO 9.5.2 VERY slowly

    I use Acrobat PRO on a workstation (Windows 7 Ultimate - SP1)

After the update to Acrobat PRO 9.5.2, all pdf files open VERY slowly (30-60 seconds). It does not matter if the file is local to the workstation or on the network. Also, the file size doesn't seem to matter or if it's the first opened file or a later file.

Besides just opening Adobe Acrobat is all too slow.

I tried to disable the antivirus software. No impact.

    Any suggestion is appreciated...

FIXED – rather than trying to fix the program in its current state. I uninstalled Acrobat PRO then relocated to from the original media, apply the updates back to 9.5.2 and - Oh surprise - everything is nice and fast again.  Other than the 30 minutes or so to uninstall/reinstall, a pretty painless solution.

I have Acrobat Pro 10, when I installed the CD player, it has affected the way I was able to move text boxes when I create a form of gall, he has also affected my ability to release and change the properties of the fields /, I'm I suspect my off lucky cat Adobe support will not help , nor a cure to.  Is there a place to find updates to Acrobat 10, if I uninstall my current program?  I still have my original CD and paperwork.  Adobe acknowledge that they have created this problem.   I worked very intensively with Acrobat Pro 10 on the form for a non-profit, I do part, and it happened immediately after that I was testing a form I created in Acrobat 10 to test with CD player. This is usually due to the function 'Snap to Grid' is enabled. It can be accidentally activated via the keyboard, so this may have been what happened.

  • Update to Acrobat Pro version 9.0.0 auf training 9s-Version

Wie ist are possible ein Update von Acrobat Pro version 9.0.0 auf eine training 9s-Version often? und zwar as

    1 MacOSX (mit Internet-connection)

    2, Windows (without Internet connection)

You will find that you will need to download the updates from the FTP (ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/acrobat/) site and put it on a memory stick. Unfortunately, most of the updates is done in the order and cannot be ignored. You can usually install all updates and reboot then that at the end, but updates still need to be made separately. In fact, a backup HD could be useful for all the updates that can be enormous.

  • Why is the launch of Acrobat Pro XI on new computer Windows 8 does not?

I installed the version of Acrobat Pro XI initially purchased in 2012 (and installed on a laptop XP) on my new computer Windows 8. Installation was successful; However, at the launch of the application to open an existing document or create a new document, a window opens asking for an update of the serial number and asking to choose from one of the products on the drop-down list, then by entering the serial number.  The message on top, says "Serial number not a product not qualifying."  Well, on the one hand, Acrobat Pro XI is not on the list, so I can't select it.  Only Acrobat Standard XI and others appear.

So, what should I do to be able to open this software on my new computer?   Thanks for any clarification.   Tried the cat, but after 30 minutes of waiting, I gave up.

The key may be the statement "eligible product. Apparently you have an upgrade version and the application is for the SN of the previous version of Acrobat. Must be at least 9 AA.

Suggestions on how to fix this would be appreciated!
