  T4x screens will not work, and I think that you have any upgrade options screen. 14 "XGA screens on these models (T4x and R5x) need a different cable that screens SXGA +.   I recently sent my laptop for repair Flextronic (Solectron) for a problem with my LCD. On the screen LCD, about 50 grey dots appeared near the Center. They were not dead but pixels spots on the back of the Panel. Before you send the laptop, I checked it and found a crack near the left hinge. I'm on this R51 like a baby and it is in perfect condition with no mark or scratch on it. I noticed the hinge was loose for a few months, but I never checked the cause of this. Now, on the crack, what I noticed is that he depart when I lift the lid and it remains extended as long as the lid is raised. The hinge clearly pushed on the plastic and I am 100% sure that this is what caused this crack. I got a call two weeks after receipt of my laptop in the repair center. They said that they would replace the LCD, but they would charge me $140 to replace the base... I fight with them since to get this base replaced under warranty. I paid for a 3 years guarantee of the site and they don't even offer me the on site service I paid for... I've been without my phone for 3 weeks now and I find it very frustrating.

  I want to replace my R51 with something a bit faster and lighter (T400, T61, X...).
  One of the most important features for me on the R51 is transflexive screen.
  The screen is readable in full sun with minimal background light.

  What current Thinkpad has one of these screens? According to the HP that
  function disappeared from all Thinkpads?

  Note: I'm not a very bright screen which eats the battery and always fails if
  the Sun is too strong, I want a transflexive screen that everything just works.

  What you are referring is commonly called a FlexView LCD, or IPS. The ThinkPad only available currently is X 61 Tablet.

  The last full-size machines offered with these were T60 and T60p, in 4:3 format of 15 ". Resolution on T60 is always SXGA + (1400 x 1050), while the first units T60p had 1600 x 1200 (UXGA) and the last ever made SXGA +.

  Some of these machines left the factory with Core 2 Duo CPU, but even those who do not can be upgraded to it. While you can install 4 GB of RAM in a T60/p, the chipset will be able to address 3 GB, regardless of the OS.

  You can install 7, but with the graphics card on the R50 the aero does not work. I tried 7 on my R51 it works but not as it should I also tried vista, it works well on the R51, you can go with vista as my R51 it worked for nearly a year with no problems. whatever version (7 or vista) you go with the thinkvantage software will work

• No service after upgrade the server to 5.2 on El Capitan

  I have a web server that was doing very well until I left the 5.2 update suggested to install OS X Server. I can't get to broadcast web pages. Screen sharing works always and nothing has changed on the routers, etc.

  I restarted the server after the update and restarted the server itself several times but keep getting connection via a browser failures.

  I did the upgrade even on other servers as well as the upgrade of Sierra. This server is running El Capitan, and is the only one that gave me problems. 5.2 server is not compatible with El Capitan?

  Some additional info:

  I can connect to the server through ftp and other services; just no web service.

  Port tests show that port 80 is not blocked

  Using the IP address I can get to the window of the home server.

  Accessibility means no services available

  Websites is on and I can't find anything that is not defined in law or is different than before the update.

  After the upgrade to 10 Safari, I can no longer stream from a certain website. Instead of playing the video stream, I'm prompted to save "player.swf" as shown above.  This problem occurs on el Capitan, and it happens on the Sierra, and it all started when I updated Safari 9.x to 10.0

  Open Safari preferences / Security tab and check the box allow Plug-ins.

  Very soon of Flash player and the plugin will be obsolete and this web page needs to change its code to HTML5.

  Thanks for the upgrade to iOS 10! I understand that when you launch the app Stocks there are no headlines loading. Great way to try to resolve in uninstalling and then downloading it again from the App store. If this did not fix the app, you can try to make sure you have a good and stable internet connection. Also, check that your date and time settings are set to "auto detect".

  Have you tried scanning with Capture of Image instead? It worked for me.

  Well, I see that a lot of people have this problem but have yet to find an answer to the problem anywhere.  My patience is lost, I despise the fact that I have * money on shit Apple but I need to find my photos.  Stupidly, I'm fallen for Apple BS again and "upgraded" in the Sierra.  Now all my photos and the Organization, that I spent a year are no longer accessible by something else as well as the new 'Photos '.  I never had iPhoto first, never used.  Each thread simple discussion I can find guard speaks of iPhoto and animated for the Photos news images.  I can see the picture files, but all my organization has disappeared; and I can't access my photos of any other application EXCEPT Photos!  If I could find an Apple exec I would slam their face until they cried!

  Someone has a REAL solution to get my photos and the Organization in the way it was before this stupid OS Sierra update?

  I think you should be able to find your photos here ~/Pictures/Photos Library.photoslibrary.

  Presumably, you could also restore your library and its organization of your backup so that you can continue to use any photo library program you usually use.
