The use of Global Mapper SDK with LabVIEW

I am really new to the use of any SDK with LabVIEW.The basic idea behind this is to trace the lat and long coordinates in global map cutomized app via Labview.I mean I'm labview data acquisition, but I want to display coordinates in global map. For what I do. I don, t have much abt MFC idea too.

Hello together,

I found a few resources on the Global Mapper site that you might find useful. They seem to have the same issues as you, and an employee helped answer a few questions.

Global Mapper software LabVIEW SDK: http://www.globalmapperforum.com/forums/technical-support/8917-global-mapper-sdk-labview-software.ht...

    Hung Nguyen,

    The installation of drivers for all targets in real-time remotely is more or less the same. First install the driver (in your case the NO-Sync) on your PC, then install it on your system remotely through MAX. For step-by-step instructions, see install the software on your NI CompactRIO controller.

    Nobody knows the type of license (or order number) for the use of Veritas Backup exec with the unit?

    Thank you.

    HI -.

    We use Veritas for the backup device. You will need to contact your representative of Veritas for license information - it is not provided by Cisco. Since the unit running SQL (or MSDE 2000), you will need SQL Veritas agent to back up OPEN files. We do not use dirt, but only for the backup device before performing the upgrades. And we also to break the mirror set beforehand. http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/customer/products/SW/voicesw/ps2237/products_maintenance_guide_chapter09186a0080443809.html#wp1073824

  • Can what cards I use to develop communication SPI with Labview?

    First of all, I'm an intern is currently working on a project that involves communication with an SPI interface. I have absolutely no experience with SPI, but I finally decided to try. I work for about 6 months with labview and understand the function of basis of a large number of its resources.

    The problem:

    We want to connect Labview to an evaluation Committee that is connected to the PC via USB (but it can also be adapted to connect through SPI). The evaluation board mainly reads and writes if sign up for issuers that are connected to it by a Module assessment. The program which is already which is the Studio of SmartRF (that works via USB), but as we want to link all the functions in Labview we redevelop a platform to do so. If shortly, we want to make a Studio of SmartRF version in Labview. We want to be able to get all the information that makes the program and others... and all this is possible through SPI.

    Here is a link in case you are interested what is SmartRF Studio: SmartRF Studio link

    My question is which card do you recommend for what we are trying to accomplish? We are looking for something not very expensive but who fail to meet our requirements.

    I think of the NI USB 8451, but please make suggestions.

    Thanks a lot in advance and please stay tuned to my many questions coming about how to accomplish this enormous task with no knowledge whatsoever of SPI or how to mix with Labview only one student. I am reading as much as I can find, so all the links will also be very much appreciated. If anyone has any experience with NI USB 8451 with Labview be kind enough to guide me

    Sincerely,

    Gisela

    If you have very little experience with LabVIEW and SPI, the 8451 is a good choice. It's expensive, but it's really easy to use and configure.

    The Aardvark is also a good choice. There pilots LabVIEW is also easy to use in LabVIEW. The disadvantages is that it doesn't have a lot outside of simply making SPI or I2C - in other words, it doesn't have a lot of GPIO. This can be important when control of multiple SPI devices, because it requires to select them lines individual slave.

    Dinah is really more than a product of laboratory, or something that is meant to be placed inside a camera. It is expensive, compared to the other two, but it doesn't have native drivers in LabVIEW. On the contrary, it comes with a DLL you can call from LabVIEW. I wrote a set of LabVIEW drivers for it, but I can't distribute.

    There are other products on the market, which some will resemble a device series to your computer. For example, you would use VISA to communicate with the SPI controller, and it would appropriate communication of SPI.

    Among the three mentioned here, I would suggest that you go with the neither of the Aardvark, one.

  • The jury of ELVIS will work with LabVIEW Student Edition 2010

    Hello

    This question was asked in the forums of LabVIEW, but no solution has been found. I have a windows 7 x 64 machine with LabVIEW 2010 Student Edition. When I try to install ELVIS 3.0.5 traditional software I get the following (no error code) message: "this Setup program requires the LabVIEW 8.5 development system or later to be present on this computer. Development system LabVIEW Base in any version of LabVIEW is not supported. Please install LabVIEW and then rerun setup of NI ELVIS. »

    I also installed the DAQ software for PCI DAQ board. I do not have access to a 32 bit machine and do not know how to get my board work (no ELVIS II) ELVIS. I have provided a screen shot of the message during the installation of the software of ELVIS.

    .

    Hey dduong16,

    Thank you very much for taking the time to provide additional information. After talking with several experts about your system, we concluded that this error is the result of an incompatibility between 3.0.5 Elvis and LabVIEW 2010 64-bit. Even the latest drivers of Elvis are not yet supported by 64-bit LabVIEW: see notes in support of the operating system on the Readme Elvismx 4.2.3

    To solve your problem, you will need to uninstall the 64-bit version of LabVIEW and install a 32-bit version. If you are a student, you should be able to get this version of your computer (it will work fine with your Windows 7 64-bit OS - it will install on 32-bit OS emulated inherent in your system). If you are not a student, please send me a personal message, and we will be working with an account representative to get you the necessary version.

    I apologize for the inconvenience, this made you and appreciate your patience. We have updated the Elvis 3.0.5 Readme to reflect this incompatibility (the change may not appear yet, because it takes time to propagate through our system), and I'm trying to create a Base of knowledge on the subject article to help future users who encounter this error.

    If there is anything else that I can help you, please you after return. Thank you!

  • Using the sensor IR of Mikron m770s with labview

    I use a detector to spot m770s Mikron infrared with a chassis PXI and LabVIEW. The material I have is m770s (4-20ma output), a current of CSC-C120 input connector module, SCC-68 of e/s, NOR-PXI-6221 M series: DAQ with DAQmx and a PXI-OR-1033 chassis.

    I tried to set this up, Max and it seems to work, but when I tried to extract actual data from the probe in LabVIEW, I got nothing.

    I hope someone can point me in the right direction.

    Thank you!

    Hi PollardVT,

    A slowly increasing way continuous signal would be an expected behavior for a terminal not connected to a data acquisition device (more information in this knowledge base).  I would first check that everything is wired up correctly and there is no bent pins or loose connections.

    You might want to try to replace the entry on your SCC-CI20 resistances.  Information on how to do it on page 4 of the Manual of the SCC-CI20is provided.

    If this is not enough, I would check to make sure that the combo of 6221 / SCC - 68 data acquisition work properly.  The SCC-68 manual describes how to set up the SCC-68 as a Terminal screw (on the bottom of page 28).  Choosing to use the SCC-68 as your Terminal gives you access to all the entries on the DAQ hardware.  I would try to connect to a known voltage source (8 and 14 pins are + 5 Volts) to one of the terminals of input analog to see if you can measure a voltage signal.  This will allow to check if your 6221 and your SCC - 68 are connected properly.

    Let me know how to work these suggestions.  If you still have problems, you could send a screenshot of your hardware configuration in MAX?

  • How to use Extech Instruments model 407123 with Labview 7.1

    I'm pretty new to Labview.  With the help of this forum, I was able to configure my DAQpad 6020E with my Labview 7.1.

    Now, I'm looking at using an Extech Instruments Thermo-anemometre to hot wire (407123) in my experience and it works through Labview.  According to my research, I was led to believe that I have to use the Instrument i/o Assistant and NI-Visa, but I'm having a lot of difficulties.  First, the thermo-anemometre is wired for a RS232 interface and I connected to an interface RS232 converter USB, which is then plugged into my computer.  I have the driver for the converter.  When I plug the thermo-anemometre into my computer, MAX it reads as a serial port and it is listed as COM3.  MAX argues that the device works properly.  However, when I run e/s and Labview Instrument wizard say to read the data, I get an error of bff0015 and it says that the device has expired.  I tried to change the time and I still get the same error.  I guess that means that Labview and my device are not communicating.

    I saw a mention of the pilots of the instrumentation, but I could not find my particular device.  I guess that's the root of my problem and that if I had an instrument driver to run my device in Labview that it works correctly.  So here are my questions.

    (1) what should I take data by a third party thermo-anemometre in Labview?

    (2) am I correct in thinking I need some kind of driver instruments?  And if so, where could I find one (I have already searched for one and he did not)?

    (3) is possible and practical to take data through an instrument of party DAQpad Labview and a third at the same time?

    (4) are there guides or tutorials that I could use that can show me how to do what I'm doing?

    Thank you.

  • The use of REGEXP_LIKE for query with exclusion

    Hi all
    How to query a column that does not contain a value with a particular letter in the middle of it with REGEXP_LIKE? Suppose I have the following text:
    SQL> select * from test;

    TEMP
    --------------------
    john
    joni
    jane
    johny
    jonny

    SQL> select temp from test where regexp_like(temp,'[^h]');

    TEMP
    --------------------
    john
    joni
    jane
    johny
    jonny

    SQL> select temp from test where regexp_like(temp,'[a-z]+[^h][a-z]+');

    TEMP
    --------------------
    john
    joni
    jane
    johny
    jonny
    The above code tries to temp of query that contains no letter 'h' in the middle (so it querries joni, jane and jonny) but it can be done with
    regexp_like(temp,'[^h]');
    regexp_like(temp,'[a-z]+[^h][a-z]+');
    given that these 2 models meet all available lines. What is the solution?

    Best regards
    Val

    If you just want to match strings that do not contain an 'h' anywhere in the string, you can use

    select temp from test where regexp_like(temp,'^[^h]*$');

    If you want to allow the first and/or the last character in the string to be 'h' (hugh or hank, for example), then

    select temp from test where regexp_like(temp,'^.??[^h]*.??$');

    Use [a - z] instead of. and [a-gi-z] instead of [^ h] If you want to match only alphabetic characters to lowercase.

    Kind regards
    Bob

    OK, if it works with the OO, OO original driver software is always installed.  You MUST uninstall the original drivers of OO, THEN install the driver of OR.  The best thing to do is:

    (1) with the spectrometer connected, go to Device Manager in windows

    (2) right click on your spectrometer (it must be somewhere in the Device Manager or it wouldn't work with the OO software)

    (3) select "uninstall."

    (4) disconnect the spectrometer

    5) go on your desk (or appropriate folder) and click on the OR condition INF file you have loaded down

    (6) select install

    Sheet 7) in the spectrometer, accept all the defaults, and it should now appear in the Device Manager in "NI-VISA USB Devices".

    You should now be able to see your spectrometer in MAX.  WARNING! Once you have done this, the OO software will no longer work.  BE SURE you need not OO software before following these steps.

  • Question about the use of EM on machine with 2 active instances

    Hello

    As a free workout, I created 2 instances on a single machine. The machine is, server and client. I'm running Windows XP SP2, Oracle 11 GR 2 (as seen in my handful of user) and using IE7 for MS.

    The URL of the first instance is:
    https://Oracle2Day1.john.local:1158/em
    The URL for the second instance is:
    https://Oracle2Day1.john.local:5500/em
    If I connect to one and the same instance, then everything works fine.

    When I log you at first, then in the second instance, and switch back to the tab of the first instance, I find myself back at the page "user name/password / Connect as", even I don't get the page saying that I was disconnected in the first instance.

    Of more, if at this time, I return to the tab of the second instance, I find myself on the page "user name/password / Connect as ' for this instance too.

    Basically, whenever I log in proceedings and switch to tab from one case to another, it brings back me to the log in page for both instances.

    If I connect in one instance and do not try to connect to the second instance then everything works fine.

    Any ideas as to why I can't be connected to two instances at the same time? (I myself can be connected in two cases, simultaneously using SQL * more without any problem) Is there something I can do to fix this or is it "normal"?

    Thank you for your help,

    John.

  • the use of an answering machine with a netconnection

    I'm using Flex and tries to call FMS3 via a netconnection. I want the machine to return values in Flex.

    Basically, I just call

    theNetConnection.call ("myFunction", new responder (hadSuccess, wasFailure));

    private void hadSuccess (returnedValue:Object) {}
    Alert.Show (returnedValue.toString ());
    }
    private void wasFailure (failed: Object) {}
    Alert.Show (failure.toString)
    }

    Then the server about...
    MyFunc = function () {}
    return "it worked."
    }

    The server is called and then it is called the machine successfully, but there is never any return value. What Miss me?

    I thought about it. Thought the problem seemed familiar. Pulled my hair out on this one before as well.

    But... I'll post the solution because I know I'll get the same answer again in a month;).

    In the FMS, I use components. When the client is added to the component, it implements the proxy/path to receive calls from the client.

    i.e.
    {myComponent.prototype.addClient (client)
    [.. Snip...]
    myproxy.someCallFromClient = function (var1, var2) {}
    this.mySomeCallFromClient (var1, var2);
    }
    [.. Snip...]
    }
    myComponent.prototype.mySomeCallFromClient (var1, var2) {}
    return "Hello Word";
    }

    See what I'm missing? Yah I'm still missing too...

    myproxy.someCallFromClient = function (var1, var2) {}
    RETURN * this.mySomeCallFromClient (var1, var2);
    }

    Always forget to add back to the proxy in the addclient! Grrr...

    Well at least next time I'm looking for this answer, I'll find my answer!

    Unfortunately the guy... I have bad news for you.
    Boot from the external USB CD/DVD drive is not possible. BIOS do not support this feature.

    If you need to boot from the CD, you will need to purchase a new, compatible internal CD/DVD drive and supported.

    Note that not all CD/DVD slim line drives are supported because different master/slave/c-salt settings.
    Usually, the user manual should provide information on the supported CD/DVD burner.
    If this isn't the case, then ask the maintainer authorized Toshiba and a compatible player.
