• Confirmation to the user before the launch of BR

  We have clear data BR and warning would need the user / confirmation message so that users are very careful when running it. He should ask users like "are you sure you want to clear data for" + name Var

  Just to expand on my previous post, I got the chance to test and it does not work with an RTP.  in my example, I've set up a RTP with type as a string, and then using a string comparison, I checked to see if the value is equal to 'YES '.

  Here is the part of the rule that matters in my case Yes condition simply results in a different error, but you could change it around to fit your need.

  I am to give the user a message when the import file contains records where the source account is not mapped to a target account. The log file shows that, but I want to give the user an active warning instead. What are my options?

  This approach would make me question your integrity of data. I guess you have an import script that will ignore these accounts with No_Mapping? In general, you want to keep the file data intact and then use a card to ignore to exclude records that you don't want to load.

  My previous post discusses how to view the log, however. It will be useful.

  I have a report that shows a kind of incidents during the week. Sometimes, there is no incident in a week. Analytics would display "No. Results" and then shows the report filter conditions. For an end user, it seems as if the error has erroed somehow.

  I have thiis debug and find that in OT you marked this column/attribute is REQUIRED.

  So, there are two ways to get the message personalized instead of standard.

  1 uncheck the required box for this attribute in OE and call the custom controller exception.

  OR

  2. in EOImpl. write this code

  I however got the message "the user is not allowed to update BIOS.

  This message is quite surprising given that I have administrator privileges.

  I read that you can use a floppy disk to update, but I did not...

  So, is it possible to update the Bios with the CD?

  This BIOS win can be improved only from a running OS Win.

  In any case, I see that you have installed SP3. It could have a bad influence on the update of the BIOS.
  Then maybe you should try to update the BIOS without SP3 installed?

  Remove SP3, download the good BIOS, unzip correctly and then try to run the BIOS update file.

  I am trying to send arbitrary data by messages from the user interface defined by the user to my labview interface. Something funny happens then: if I send the data through the message of ui, it seems I have something strange. There is only one character or nothing in the message of the user interface that reached my reminder.

  It seems that flatten channel also creates control characters that are interpreted by NI TestStand and Labview not as members of the chain, and for this reason I only get incomplete data. within the action of testand, which creates the flattened data, I put a dialog box to display the string data, and it seems that at least up to 255 (ascii) characters are used.

  Is there something like uuencode/uudecode to avoid this problem?

  His «binary"produced by «Flatten the string» string Apparently I thought, the LabVIEW data type is incompatible with the API of TestStand from LabVIEW. In conclusion I would classify this as a bug (sorry people, at least there should be documentation) API for LabVIEW TestStand 2014.

  As a solution, I use flatten it in XML, which is a printable and human readable 'normal' string.

  It was trial and error, and I'm not enjoying this.

  A brief look at the code, I noticed the following:

  • It seems that you are passing in the SequenceContext to the UIMonitor reference, but the UIMonitor expected an applicationManager reference.  You must pass this (a reference to the current applicationManager) in your sequence instead:

    RunState.Engine.GetInternalOption (InternalOption_ApplicationManager)

  
  
  • In addition, you will need to change the reference to applicationManager in your monitor to a reference rather than a container activeX (otherwise you will create a new instance of the applicationManager).  The best way to proceed is to change it to a constand, then return to a control.

  I am unable to run your code due to lack of dependencies, then please let me know if you still have problems after the implementation of the foregoing.

  Instead of having the events to record in the 'create' methods, you could be part outside your 'create' SubVIs and then simply bundle them. Then, you create your individual event of the user management. See excerpt where I created a vi 'Create user event - Update' in front of the stop.

I turned off Computer properly and then restarted, it. I then went to the Task Manager to check the process and I was amazed at what I saw. I have normally about 35. He had 70 ongoing process, about half of those who are anywhere for 35 000 to 120 000. My use is way up too. Here are the names I've ever seen. The big one is the PTChangeFilterApplication. It will be not let me end the procces on it and hide it from me also. Those I can end up back in a few seconds. Clues? Thanks Cary

  I received a closed system. He gave me a low number of 10 min. The message box had this inside 6910p-1B4BEE60\CARY. Then it says error initiated by the user. He also had this PTChangeFilterApplication. I restarted after shutdown my laptop properly. Just after the closure showed up, I had one of these send or not to send error things. I hit send and he sent about 15 of these reports referring to the PTChanger filter. I checked my task manager, because he was very slow start. My processor usually runs about 35. It was running 75 and all new, I've ever seen. They are many of them running in 50,000. Is this PTChangeFilterApplication running in 100,000. He didn't let me finish. It keeps jumping around making it difficult to click on it again. Others will allow me to put an end to return to about 15 seconds. Thanks Cary
