theme Windows vista missing, no system files.

I have Windows Vista Home Premium. My windows vista theme disappeared and reset my computer to the windows Classic view. I looked at all issues similar and no worked solutions. I can't click Restore system, command prompt, & also, my windows will not update. I get error 0x800700e6 (channel status is incorrect) whenever I try to click on one of the programs, I download anything to the internet, the same code every time. So I cannot use the system restore, cannot use command prompt and can not update anything from windows update in Control Panel. I also do not have a cd of windows vista as it was installed on the computer when it is purchased. I tried high grade on Windows Aero, and it also came with the same 0x800700e6 error code. Also now when I press the Start button, click Control Panel configuration or the computer, it does not move up, and if he does, his does not...

Hi love,

You did changes to the computer?

When it's this last work good?

You have security software installed on the computer?

Do you see the theme on the personalization page?

Follow the steps mentioned below:

Method 1:

You start the computer in safe mode and check if you face the same problem, follow the steps from the link below:

Start your computer in safe mode

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

Note: Safe mode starts Windows with a limited set of files and drivers. Startup programs do not work in safe mode, and only the basic drivers needed to start Windows are installed, no internet connection available in safe mode.

Method 2:

  • Flash player 10 does not work on windows vista sp2, any NPSWF files found in the system as well

    Hi, I use windows vista, downloaded flash player 10 several times but it will never work.

    just updated to SP2 today after reading the other popular solution here, but it still will not work.

    I use IE 8, went to C:/windows/system32/c:\windows\system32\macromed/flash on my computer but it

    is not NPSWF files at all.

    There are those I have flash10e.ocx install.log, flashUtil10e.exe, uninstall_activeX.exe

    and trust flashplayer with rpconverter.ctg in her file.

    Please help me with this, thanks a lot!

    Hi candy, happy you found that Shockwave Flash Object, it works with Flash files and is very important

    NPSWF files you said aren't there, those who are for the browser Firefox or Chrome or any other browser. If you use Firefox and you want the Flash Player to do this, close all your browsers if you are looking only at your office.

    Click on the Flash Player for Firefox installer and save it on your desktop. Then run it from your desktop, and after it is finished installing, restart your computer.

    Then using Firefox go to the plug-ins and find a SWF vs 10.0.45.2 and make sure that this option is enabled. It's like the Shockwave Flash for Internet Explorer object, but it is one that works with Firefox.

    I would like to know if this is what you wanted to do. If you do not use Firefox, but Chrome or any other browser, this will work for that one also.

    If you do not use another browser, then do this. I have just thot maybe that you did and that is why you were concerned that the NPSWF files were not there.

    Thank you

    I have been transferring pictures from my Canon Digital via the Canon software in a Windows "My pictures" file for about 2 years with great success.  Today, an attempt to transfer was interrupted with the message 'Save folder not found' "Cameras Windows DC.  I noticed that was missing the file "my images".  I added one, I reinstalled the Canon software, I tried to download the image using the "Windows Photo Gallery", but got the same message as above.  What can I do to be able to download the photos again?

  • Microsoft Windows Vista: Rebuild the system volume information folder

    Greetings to everyone.

    (1) the Crypto ransomware locker has done the thing is on a friends laptop last week. This is a laptop HP DV900 Microsoft Windows Vista. Unfortunately, we have re-installed Vista, from the recovery partition, before attempting to restore the system, using the system restore. It is my understanding that the system volume information folder, contains files, such as excel and word files, which can be restored, but they are stored by Vista, in a special encrypted way.

    If I could get it back or if I got the complete information system volume, would be possible to replace the current and to restore the system to a time before the ransomware hit?

    (2) in fact, I've used a file recovery program and was able to recover a huge file with the name:

    {11d89a13-09a9-11e4-9917-cb6a370b41f2} {3808876b-c176-4e48-b7ae-04046e6cc752}

    This file is approximately 1.99 GB, and is dated on 17/07/2014. I suspect that the virus deployed on 18/07/2014 as the most important Excel and word files have the date of last modification of 18/07/2014. And those files that have changed on the 18/07/2014 cannot be open - unless I have change the extensions of excel to .csv file, in which case excel files open, but the info is still obviously encrypted.  OK, so I have the part of the system volume information folder content, which seem to be of the part that contains the files there, as this is a fairly large file.

    My question is this: is a reconstruction of the folder system volume information, based on this possible of the file? In other words, using this file I have cancelled/recovered, can we restore Vista from this file?

    Thank you for your time.

    You cannot use the system restore to recover files from the user.  Restore points would be zero because of the new facility.  Update of installation dates would be irrelevant as well as software installations.  The new installation files will take precedence.

  • I believe that when I had my computer reset Windows Vista has been removed from the system due to my computer with a virus. Now, I need to know how can I do to restore Windows Vista in my system?

    I need help restoring Windows Vista on my computer.  Please help this is finals week and I need my computer to take my final.

    Vista recovery media obtain and/or use the Partition Recovery Vista on your computer to the factory settings .

    There is no Vista free download legal available.

    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
    Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
    Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Also ask them if it is possible to make the recovery disk/s since the Partition of recovery in case of hard drive failure or System Crash when you're back running.

    They will tell you how to do this.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.
    Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
    A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
    The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.
    There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.
    If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu
    I checked the XP system time settings and Windows 7 systems.  They all adjusted automatically DST.
