then I accidentally washed my ipod nano

So I'll try and send it back to apple today in person, but the water indicator was red, so I put little white top, and now white again.  Someone has already done this, and if so it worked?   They will replace it?

It's an Apple product, so you should ask on their forum. They will be able to help you: http://discussions.apple.com/category.jspa?categoryID=154

    The title says it all.

I just want to know how to do this so that I can go out for a race without having to use shuffle!

There is no function named "up next."  But you can create a new playlist on a 7th gen nano.  Or you can edit an existing selection.  See page 22 of the user's guide online

    https://manuals.info.Apple.com/manuals/1000/MA1624/en_US/iPod_nano_2015_user_gui.PDF

This playlist is effectively your list until the next .  You can add songs to it (playing), as the function until the next in iTunes.  Make sure that your iPod will play the song lists in the order (not mixed).

  • IPod Nano 7th Gen: a track and then stop?

I searched a lot about this issue and the majority of responses either query should do, or give answers about the Shuffle or repeat.

My iPod Nano 5th generation used to do this - the 7th generation does not work.

Specifically, I want to play a Podcast, and then have it stop at the end.

I don't want to repeat the same podcast, I want him to stop.

I've seen suggestions on the creation of individual playlists for each song or podcast - much too tedious.

    Any thoughts?

To be in a container, such as a container of songs, albums, playlists, you have to consider everything on your iPod.  You can have it play something only once, but it will move to the next item in the container to play by default once it's done.  That's why people suggested using a playlist with only one point in it.

Now I don't know if you tried to make a playlist on the fly or not, but the iPod Nano is able to do.  Just go to your playlists on your Nano section and scroll to the top of the screen.  It will allow you to create a new playlist ("add") or edit an existing ("").  Just select Add, then select your content.  You can then enter this playlist and clear the list and reuse for any other content that you want to listen only once, so it is not that much more involved than the selection of something to play on the fly, now, only he stops once done, unlike other processes.

  • My iPod nano 2nd generation gets disk errors after installing iTunes?

I use my iPod nano 2nd generation for... Wow little almost 10 years now and of course is not as sensitive, a little laggy sometimes, battery life isn't as good but still never had real problems with it that can be repaired by a reset. Well not until now and I have not really money to spend to get a new, in particular the fact that practically it still works fine on his own, just that I can not add or remove pieces of her more.

    The problem

It seems that the computer has trouble reading the device. Whenever I plug my iPod nano 2nd generation USB in my laptop (Windows 10), which has some sort of interaction with it freezes. For the moment I plug in, programs such as Winamp, iTunes, File Explorer (if I click my computer-> try to right click on the drive, that says all F: drive instead of the usual name recognized as "My iPod."), the Device Manager when I try to turn Apple iPod USB Driver and the small icon in the system tray when you try to eject the drop-down list no longer appears, all these programs themselves just freeze and unresponsive until I unplug the device. In Event Viewer, the moment where I plug it, it gets spammed by looping errors to:

Error: The device, \Device\Harddisk1\DR21, has a bad block.

ATTENTION: An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk1\DR21 during a paging operation.

So, basically, it seems that the computer is blocked just not try to read and recognize the device, which means that I can't really do anything with it. The iPod itself seems to work fine, I can hear songs, recharge the battery and other things, earlier I can't add or remove pieces of her.

    Stuff leading up to it

A year or two before, I used to manage the ipod via itunes (a relatively old version of time too I guess since I almost never update) until I formatted my laptop some time ago and never bored computer reinstall itunes. Since then, I really didn't need to change anything to my iPod and just use Winamp (my default music player) to the add/remove songs when I needed to. Today, I decided to install iTunes because there are some things that winamp cannot do as add embedded lyrics and also winamp blurs the sorted list of the song. Since then, after you have installed the new iTunes, start freezing and program I get the problems described above. There might be a chance that iTunes was not the real culprit and the disc was already beginning to get corrupted or something somehow, but I can't think of anything that's happened before this problem started.

    I tried many things

    • Uninstalled iTunes and all the other stuff related to the installation as pie, Apple Mobile Device Support... .etc
    • Reinstall the device driver USB Apple iPod. When I turn it off (Plug in iPod-> iPod poster 'do not disconnect'-->--> Device Manager driver right click-> disable-> Device Manager freezes up-> unplug ipod-> Device Manager-> thaws plug ipod in) ipod becomes simply the State of charge. Steps to reinstall is the same (need to plug and unplug).
    • Reset iPod in now the Center button + menu button.
    • Will then resetting operation rewind + Centre button iPod diagnostic mode. It is not a test disc hard because I guess nano doesn't have a disc hard just flash ram. Anyway, when I select SDRAM QScan he only says: "SDRAM OK." NAND_SPEC gives "NandLBA = 1982464". Flash gives Checksum "Checksum is 0x26AF".
    • Wanted to try as described here to check for disk errors, but cannot because the computer cannot correctly recognize and explore freezes if I right click. I tried using 'chkdsk f:' in the command prompt, but that seems to hang as well.
    • Switches mode disc reset ipod then now Center + play button. Then connect the laptop... etc, same problem.

It's a pretty old device, so it seems that support because it is very rare. I didn't install iTunes could screw up the device that it is intended to support and do anything as permanent as this one.

You must exclude a faulty USB, cable anchorage, try another, or using your power with another Apple device cable, to confirm that it works correctly.

Otherwise, your troubleshooting seems complete.  If that's what you've done for disc Mode

How to put your iPod in disc - Apple Support mode

and connection to your computer causes this issue General 'freeze' with multiple processes, the iPod has possibly a hardware problem.  Flash storage eventually.  Or it can be a problem on the logic board of the iPod.

I suggest try to reformat the iPod using Windows, as if it were a USB flash drive.  But you can only do if the system hangs when you connect iPod.

NOTE: If you find a way to reformat iPod using Windows, use FAT32 as the disc format.  If there is an option to do a quick format, do a full format instead.  Once the process is complete, the iPod is totally blank.  You do restore using iTunes (if you are prompted or not), to the embedded iPod software.

  • Problem syncing with iPod Nano

I have an iPod nano 3rd generation. He stopped properly syncing with iTunes. I have the latest version of ITunes and Windows 10. It is always synchronized automatically before. The computer recognizes the iPod and it's synchronization on iPod, but not on the computer screen. None of the songs I bought on iTunes since it began have been added to my iPod. I also noticed that new Playlists, I added to iTunes also syncs.  Maybe it's the same cause.  I appreciate your help. I'm nervous about what he is going to erase my iPod and then Resync.  I don't want to end up with nothing on my iPod!  I spent hours trying to understand, without a bit of luck. Thanks a lot for your help!

One thing to check is the parameter to sync music on settings of music from the iPod screen.  Here is a screenshot showing the screen.

Perhaps the box sync music got disabled for some reason any.  If it is not checked, the iPod is currently set to manually manage the music.  It will always 'sync' when it is connected, but the content does not sync automatically. However, existing content on the iPod.

NOTE: If you change this setting (and apply) Sync music is currently not checked, all the songs on the iPod that are not in your iTunes library will be lost.

  • IPod Nano/Greyed out music

    Hi guys,.

So I use an Ipod Nano 4th generation, but when it comes to connect to ITunes it just will not work. I use Windows 10 and you just download the new ITunes.

My Ipod is recognized on ITunes, under devices but when I click on it to get my songs, they are all shaded with just a tick next to each song (there is no symbol in the left column, see below)

Basically, I want to solve this problem, so I can buy and add new music on my Ipod... How can I do this?

    Thank you in advance,

    Emma

    Hi Emma,

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple. Judging by your post, I see that you are trying to sync music to your iPod nano, but faced difficulties. I know it's important to get your content on your devices, so I am pleased to provide you with advice for this.

Your screenshot shows notice what is currently on your iPod nano. Grey tracks are songs that are not in your iTunes library. All this is expected.

For good to sync your music to your iPod, see the steps detailed here:

Sync your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch with iTunes on your computer via a USB - Apple Support

If you want to have these songs in your iTunes library as well, and they were purchased with iTunes first, then follow the steps detailed here:

I hope this helps to clarify things, Bravo!

  • Is there a way to tag audio files on an ipod nano 8th generation and iphone?

    Hello

I listen to audio long music mixes and podcasts radio, usually between 2 to 4 hours long. But many times, I want to set up. I would to halfway through listening to a mix of music for 2 hours, then to go to the podcast. But then I don't want to return to the mix of music later but at exactly at the same point in the mix where I left. Is it possible to bookmark this point in time in the mix?

Whenever I go to another audio file, it's always a pain in the anus to then navigate to that point in time in the first file I listened. I went through all the menus and see no option for this. This type of bookmarking functionality is available?

I use an iPod Nano 8 Gen and iPhone 5s and both are updated to the latest updates/IOS

    Thank you very much

In iTunes, select some of your audio files for a long time, get information, and then on the Options on the tab playback position check store. Sync.

  • love note deleted when synchronize iPod Nano

    Hello

whenever a sync my iPod Nano 7th generation with iTunes (1.0.4) (12.4), it removes the 'close' of the song already synchronized. Anyone know how to avoid this problem? I changed my method of the stars in the heart... but now I refuse this idea. Also I just don't understand why Apple didn't release a firmware to manage this feature on the iPod Nano?

I made many assists in selecting new song using iTunes and then sync them with the iPod with the same result... once I sync again, it removes the heart in iTunes.

    Thank you!

This happens with my 80 GB Classic, too. It seems to happen randomly; I erased my "loveds' the first time it sync (it has been at least 3 weeks since the last time), but not on subsequent tries... until an unknown amount of time goes.

  • Why can't transfer music manually on my iphone 5s or even my ipod nano 7thG?

I have music that comes from a cd. so I decided to upload it manually on my iphone and also tried on my ipod nano 7thG and when I put the songs in a playlist itunes did not give me the ability to move the music manually. iTunes is completely updated, both of my devices, and new itunes does not give me the option or have a sidebar that shows what devices can I move my music to the new itunes update is total crap if it is a problem of the update. And then why itunes would not give me the ability to transfer music manually?

If you have the latest version of iTunes, 12.4.1 then you should have an option in the sidebar:

To select the option manage music manually, you cannot click the device name in the sidebar, you have to click on the little icon iPhone (or iPod) to the top of the screen, to the right of her drop-down content type (left side).

Do that, and you should look at the menu for your iPhone, with the 'Summary' tab is selected. Looking for this option:

  • How can I erase all the files on my iPod Nano (6th generation) and start over?

I can sync is more manually all the files that I need on my iPod Nano (6th generation) to my Macbook (OS 10.6.8) because it is full.  Instead of delete folders and songs about the Nano, which would take forever, I'd rather delete it all and start by cleaning up the folder that I keep in my iTunes library (11.4), then by loading all on the Nano.

    How do I:

    (1) delete all music from the Nano?

    (2) see how many in the iPod folder in my iTunes library Macbook so I know what to remove?

I know this must be a simple process, but it's been a long time I did!  Thanks for any help out there.

When your iPod is connected to your MacBook, open iTunes, click on your iPod in the sidebar and in the 'Summary' tab, click 'Restore iPod.'

If you don't see the sidebar in iTunes, go to the view menu in the menu bar, and then click see the sidebar.

  • iPod Nano 16 GB keeps resetting

    Hello!

    Strange things are happening.

I have an iPod Nano 16 GB which works perfectly. I use iTunes on my regular computer and never had a problem.

Today, iTunes tells me my iPod had to reset automatically, and all my music has apparently disappeared. I managed to get back on my computer with special software.

I connected my iPod and I tried to put all the music, but he said it was full, even if it is EMPTY ('Other' is indicated under the full name in the toolbar).

My guess is that all the music files are still on the iPod but not available when I want to listen to them, and iPod turns out to be empty...

Then I ejected my iPod and it restarts AGAIN.

He has never done before on this computer... I don't understand!

    Thanks for your help

My wife has an ipod Nano 7 G. We have 10 Windows and iTunes 12.3.3.17. It worked fine for months.
