ThinkPad 440p internal \battery Question

According to the web, the User Guide and the HMM, the terms of the internal battery powering are to go to power Configuration in the BIOS and turn off the power to the battery. For the life of me, I can't find this seting. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hello

I find no indication that the T440p has an internal battery.

    Hello I'm new here.

I bought a 240 X and when I was selecting options, I don't think I'm going to need the extra battery life so I don't choose NO internal battery.

My question is - is it possible to install an afterwords of battery internal?

    Thank you

    Hello and welcome

Yes, I hope so, it's possible.
Buy the batteriy and install it yourself even if it is not a replaceable unit. Or get in touch with the Lenovo official service provider.

Lenovo service 23 integrated Wh battery for x 240 p/n (FRU) is 45N1109 (Sanyo) or 45N1111 (Sony).

  • Internal battery low - error 601 before Windows starts

I have a HP Pavilion dv6 (XG737UA #ABA product number and model dv6 - 3163 cl) under Windows 7 Home Premium.  I tested, tried callibrating and nothing helped.  My battery meter shows that it gets only a max of 77% support and then stops to load.

Then I turned off my laptop, unplugged the power cord from the laptop, then took the removable battery Pack, connected plug it back in and then laptop powered on with only the power cord is plugged in.  I don't have the 601 error message while booting.  Issues related to the:

    (1) this means that small piece of internal clock battery is not the problem, but rather the removable battery black, great is the question?

    (2) If Yes to the above, just replace the battery 593554-001?  I want a 6, 9 or 12 cells (I guess that the largest cell, the years more it will last)?  I found these: http://www.battdepot.com/us/search/opn/hp/593554-001.aspx

    (3) while I wait for the battery to arrive, is - it safe power the computer with the battery pack intact and functioning, or I want to only run the laptop with the battery and connected computer?  The latter will be difficult because I need to walk from one place to another with the laptop.

    Thank you!

    Mike

    Hello mikechicago,.

I see that you have an error message internal battery low. I'll try to help you.

To answer, you have any questions.

    (1) is based on the fact that if the removal of the battery at the back, the error is gone, this would imply that the question is indeed with this paste and not the battery cmos.

    (2) on page 53 of the maintenance and Service guide, you will find the support of the spare laptop battery you with reference numbers. Who should answer this question.

    (3) it has not recommended to continue to use the battery. For now until you receive the replacement, it would be better to use it plugged in.

I hope that it has been able to answer all your questions.
Thanks for posting on the HP Forums.

  • x 260 internal battery first - is this normal?

New Lenovo x 260 and I love the machine. I noticed that the system uses the internal battery and back to 5% before moving on to the external battery. This behaviour seems contrary to what is said in the application of arrangements of Lenovo, which indicates the replaceable 3 or 6-cell (I have both) will be unloaded first, then the internal battery is dead. She then imposes in reverse order - internal battery charge first, then the external battery.

Is this something that can be adjusted? The system will occasionally use the internal battery first? I use only genuine Lenovo external batteries and both are healthy and get used and invoiced correctly.

The only thing I can imagine I did to create the problem is to reinstall the system image of a recovery disc before you do anything with the machine, I have created. The story: the moment I started in Windows 10 for the first time at the reception of the new machine, I created a recovery media. I formatted the machine and tried to install Windows 10 Professional using a series I own, but I encountered a problem of activation. Accordingly, I gave my effort to run a clean install, started the recovery USB key I created and restored the system to the State from the Lenovo factory with all the drivers installed and the OWL wallpaper of Thinkpad and so on. So, I use the system with an original image.

    Or is this normal behavior?

    Thanks in advance.

  • X 260 unload the first internal battery

    Hello

When the power of the battery, discharge the battery internal of my X 260 before the external battery. I use Windows Home 10 and bios is 1.19 (what it came bundled with).

I have not found a definitive solution to this problem - only comments of others where the problem has subsequently disappeared. I had the computer for 10 days and have tried many suggestions but nothing works not - the internal battery continues to drain before externally.

I hesitate to call or get help because I don't want to send the computer or have a tech computer rip part for what is apparently a software/firmware issue.

Just to add: all drivers are updated and battery performance is quite normal - I get the expected run time. Is that just the internal battery runs out first and then the second an external.

I would be grateful other suggestions or a fix.

    Thank you

  • Internal battery maintenance

Hi all, I have a question about the maintenance of the internal battery. I've seen other people pointing to battery maintenance positions, but unfortunately it comes to removable batteries. Question is, what is the best way to take care of a battery internal? I mainly work in my office with the computer plugged, before, I would remove the battery. Now that the battery is internal, I can't. I leave connect all the time? Or should I disconnect once the battery is fully charged? Thank you!

    Callisto,

Batteries have come a certain ways over the years. There should not be no problem leaving the battery connected permanently, there are some features included with the systems now that help keep the battery works to his maximum potential.

  • HP G72-250USNotebook: error at startup main internal battery (601) my laptop HP G72-250US

Error message at startup time primary starter battery internal Battery (601).

What is the CMOS battery? A forum q / said they have a CR-2032 battery.

Is it the same thing for my laptop? & How to install it please?

    Thank you

    Hello

No, the message is a bit misleading, in fact the main battery. You must check the battery and replace if necessary. For the second question: Yes, BUT normally it is in a 'bag', in many cases, you need to replace the entire 'bag '.

Update: for your machine, it's not in a bag. Please see following page 4-46 of the Manual:

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c02641840.PDF

(Manual tells you how to replace too).

  • Internal battery / Date/time problem

My NEX-6 will only keep the date/time information after I put it. He was dead when I got it, but after the normal battery charging to full and using the camera, whenever it is turned off, it forgets the time. I did some research online, which said it may take a while to recharge the internal battery, but I tried to charge for 24 hours straight, and using the camera frequently (as described in the manual) and doesn't seem to solve the problem.

Once, after leaving unused for a few days, I noticed that he miraculously started saving the date correctly, even when it is off. This lasted about a week, but now he has lost the ability to keep the time again, and with the charge Jack did not set.

Any thoughts? Apart from sending to Sony to repair?

I tried the factory reset but that did not work. As I don't have a battery (and don't want to buy a second, in which case it is not the problem), looks like I'll need to come back for the service.

  • Internal battery replacement for a 2000-361NR

    Good evening

I'm a replacing the internal battery for my HP 2000-361NR. The external battery does not recognize that it is plugged. Does this mean I have to replace externally. I did diagnostics on it and it wont let me update the BIOS.

    Thanks in advance!

Ah, so you get a battery error internal 601 at startup then tested battery Diagnostics UEFI which does not.

These errors are related and mean the same external battery of the device. Tests you have given show that he does not and must be replaced.

Make sure the internal battery 601 it's portable external battery turn off, remove the battery from the camera, then goot. The error should not appear.

Do you know if your laptop is still under warranty? If so, then you can contact the HP Support to get it replaced under warranty.

If not, a replacement battery may be purchased one a small shop, an online retailer like Amazon or HP.com directly.

  • Purchase and installation of the internal battery on lenovo t450s

Hi, I was wondering if it was possible to install an internal battery in a t450s (repackaged without internal battery) and if so, where I could buy the battery.

It seems to me that the internal battery of T450s is the same as those on the T440s. You can access it by removing the rear cover. I shows that there are 3 numbers (different suppliers). 45N1773, 45N1111 and 45N109. They can be purchased directly from Lenovo (by IBM) or eBay. IBM link is:

  • internal battery 601

Hello, I have HP Pavilion laptop g6 for 2.5 years and I started getting a message on Primary (internal) battery 601 stating that is is low capacity and will need to be replaced. Please, can tell me I still use it without problems when it is plugged. If not, then how to replace it. Thank you

    Hello

Just to clarify, the 601 error relates to your main battery of notebooks (not the RTC cell on the system board).

If you are satisfied with the machine running on full power, there is no problem with that and you can just remove the battery.

If you do not want to replace the battery at a certain time, you can order a new through HP parts store or (and), just google the full model number of your laptop dv7 series including the battery of the term.

    Kind regards

  • Satellite L750D shows the internal battery warning message

Audio and video of my computer are slowing to almost as noise. I recently saw an error/warning note onto the internal battery life ending (?)

What does that mean? What should I do?

Can you please tell us which model of laptop you have and how old is your machine?
It is possible that the battery is quite old and needs to be replaced.

But with the sound and the video is a little strange to me. To be honest I can't even imagine what is happening exactly. Did you test using different audio and video sources? Is the result always the same?

    Good day everyone,

First of all thank you to accept me on this forum, as it has helped me decide for my first Lenovo x 240 a year ago.

Secondly, I would like to know if all W550s are with the built-in INTERNAL BATTERY since my only newly acquired is not everything after removed the (identical to the x 240) rear cover.

    TIA

The internal battery is an optional component. You can choose to install one yourself.
