ThinkPad Edge 13 - no wireless driver works

Hey,.

I have a Thinkpad Edge 13 and I just installed WIndows7 on it. The problem is that I installed all the drivers I could find on the site of lenovo for the wireless card, but none of them work. In Device Manager, the network adapter is still not identified.

From what I've seen all lenovo drivers are for Intel adapters but Everest tells me that the network card is a Realtek PCIe BGE family. I also installed the Realtek drivers but still nothing.

The network adapter is enabled in the BIOS and I tried the Fn not available wireless switch.

Any ideas?

Thank you

Thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately I do not know how to find the type of machine.

However, last night I finally got to work. It was my mistake, of course. The correct drivers were: http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS014079 , I thought I tried all the but it turns out I missed those. Now, it works fine.

Thanks for your time,

  • ThinkPad Edge 13 WiFi does not work

    Hello

    I've updated my Thinkpad with windows 8.1. But the wifi driver does not work correctly. After the installation, the device has been diasabled with code 10. I looked for a new driver and found one from Realtek to win 8. After this installation and restarting, the wifi works fine. Restarting the laptop again once the device has been disabled again. I have tried many different drivers - it's always the same: after the first installation and reboot it works, after the second start, the device is turned off again.

    Someone knows how to fix this?

    Thanks in advance!

  • Edge E320 - wireless driver problem

    Just receive the boss a new computer laptop - Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E320, abut Win 7 Pro on a clean install as usual, although Win 7 captures not many drivers automatically, so I had to download, which was very good...

    However, when I restart, the Wireless driver seems to change / fail, still shows as "Intel(r) WiFi Link 1000BGN" in Manager devices, but watch with an exclamation point...

    I tried reinstalling the driver, but after a reboot, it happens again...

    If anyone can suggest a fix for this, I'd be eager to try it!

    Hello

    I was already using the latest version of the driver...

    I solved this by running again the driver installation, but by choosing repair - all sub-options have been barred, so I enabled those and the installation was completely different and has worked...

  • Driver needed XP for Ati Radeon HD 4250 (Thinkpad Edge 14 - model 019923u)

    Hello, I have downgraded from Windows 7 to Xp and I have trouble finding the driver for the video card.

    The laptop is a Thinkpad Edge 14 - model 019923u.

    Does anyone know the correct driver for this model?

    Thank you

    Try DRIVERMAX. I had a PC that had no XP drivers. This program found and installed the drivers in XP and had it work. What it does is find a driver for this type of Board/CPU/GPU/webcam/USB card or sound.

    Here are the directions out of my head that I remember best:

    • 1 when you load first it (after it index and askes register you), place the mouse on driver downloads and information, click on start the drivermax agent.
    • 2 loading the agent to ensure that its on the 2nd tab updated. If the (part your will install) shows here then select it and then click Download. Click on the 2nd show updates for only selected updates option.
    • 3 now it will go to the site and show you the pilot/s available. I always choose the driver top list. Click the link to download next to her. Click on continue free user. Make sure that you opened with drivermax and not save on the pc.
    • 4 it will then download and let you know when it is ready to be installed. Another thing if the driver (for what your need) does not appear here, then click on the identity of unknown material below start the agent on-screen main drivermax. Then do the same to download and install it.

    There are also clips Youtube how to use DRIVERMAX. See you soon! Hope this works for you.

  • ThinkPad Edge E15 302 - 45U wireless connection problem

    I had to do a fresh install of windows 7 Professional.  Everything works apart from the wireless connection.  I downloaded every driver wireless and the problem still persists.  I can see the connection being broadcast, by entering the password to connect, I get only "windows could not connect to xxx".

    I can connect to this point my phone wireless and my other laptop is no one else in the office having this problem.  I'm having the problem only on this Thinkpad.

    If I try to use Intel PROSet/Wireless diagnostics tools I get a FAILURE-Wireless equipment is not related to the transport driver.  I tried all that at this point with no luck.  LAN works of course but I need the wireless to work.

    Thank you

    Nevermind I managed to solve the problem by creating another profile.  Log on to the new wireless profile works great.

  • ThinkPad Edge 15 wireless problems

    I have 3 thinkpads that after a reload of fees cannot connect to wireless networks. I went through and installed different drivers wireless on lenovo Web site.

    I went through several stages, others have had similar problems, but he has not made a difference.

    I have installed:

    Shortcut keys & patch

    Power Manager & pilot

    Chipset

    The realtek - ethernet networking and communications LAN adapter driver

    I installed and removed each available wireless adapter

    ThinkPad Edge 15

    Type: 0319-46U

    On a side note in the Device Manager screen there is an alert of "Network controller" saying no driver installed for this device. I conclude that it is a Realtek device, but beyond that, I'm lost.

  • ThinkPad Edge 14 (0578RD 4) WLAN driver issues

    I bought the new laptop Thinkpad Edge 14 about 4 days back.

    I installed Windows 7 ultimate and continuous with the installation of the drivers.

    All the drivers installed fine but my WiFi detects no signal.

    I contacted lenovo support and they took my remote device on assisstance.

    Fiddling for a while, the representative of tech confirmed that it was a hardware fault!

    I thought to try with Ubuntu, and to my surprise, the WiFi works fine on ubuntu!

    I then downloaded the drivers from the realtek website (module WiFi is the 8191 or 8192SE from realtek) and tried to reinstall, but my WiFi does just not on windows.

    What could be?

  • Size of hard drive bay for Thinkpad Edge E430? and vs SATA 300 600

    I'm looking to get a bigger hard drive for my Thinkpad Edge E430, and I have two questions.

    The current drive is a Toshiba MK5061GSY - SATA 300. This is 0.4 inches high. I'm looking at a WD Green WD20NPVX - SATA 600. It is high 0.6inches.

    1. What size is the HARD drive Bay? Fits in a drive that is 0.6 inches in height?
    2. A disk SATA 600 is backward compatible with SATA-300 port?

    Thank you.

    Ivy Bridge CPU in the E430 supports SATAIII (6 Gb/s) for the main hard drive and the optical drive Bay.

    The height of the E430 hard drive Bay suitable for 7 and 9.5 mm (do not know what this amounts to in inches).

  • Headphone jack on the ThinkPad Edge works not properly with Lenovo 57Y4488 headphones

    Bought 57Y4488 which are earphones thinkPad.

    When it is plugged into a socket of headset ThinkPad Edge that the microphone does not work.

    Works very well if connected to a ThinkPad SL410.

    Tried with two different sets of ThinkPad earphones and two of the various ThinkPad Edge laptops. Unfortunately, I bought my headphones over a month so there cannot send their return.

    I was able to make them work if I plug it into a logitech usb connector.

    I don't know if the problem is the conector on the earphones or headphones on the ThinkPad Edge connector.

    Thanks for your reply.

    Just worked on it. It's a windows 7 setting. By default it does not seem to support taking combo until its installation in windows through advanced audio setting.

    Satellite P770/02U PSBY3A-02U00K

    Hey guys,.
    I have uninstall stuff yesterday and I accidentally uninstalled a program called Atheros.
    I didn't know what it was the selection until I realized that my wireless driver has been uninstalled, I thought I could fix it quickly by going on the toshiba DOWNLOAD Panizzi and download the most recent driver, but when I do this the wireless adapter cannot find access points.

    This isn't the modem because everyone elses computers laptops and desktops are still functioning.

    Someone at - it a solution?

    Thanks :)

    Hi Kurban

    Is wireless network adapter installed correctly now? I want to say WLAN card is listed correctly in the Device Manager?

    If everything is OK Please be sure WLAN card is activated correctly (the WLAN led should be lit).
    Somehow I think that the wireless network adapter is not enabled.

  • Lack of Webcam - have you seen him? ThinkPad Edge 11

    Hello Forum,

    using a ThinkPad Edge 11 2545-A12 Type i´am and I need the build-in Webcam.

    But I m out of ideas how to activate it!

    The system works with Win 7 and I tried to use less-Lenovo software as possible.

    +++

    The driver of the Webcam installation is awkward. Whenever I run the installation of the latest Lenovo-Webcam-Tool tool, it warns: "USB-Videogerät nicht found. Bitte schließen sie das USB-VIdeogerät one. No matter what installation language I choose, it s always in German. Translatet: "none - found USB camera. Please plug it properly. "

    +++

    So I installed the software HotKey (no need for this before) and I was hoping to be able to activate the camera by pressing Fn + F5. I was not. Diferent pressing FN + X is fine, but by pressing Fn + F5 came: "for pressing of these combinaten, you must install the utility Communication Thinkvantage 1.4 or higher.

    Ok...

    +++

    So I installed the 2.09 Thinkvantage communications utility and tried Fn + F5. Now, I have control over my audio stuff but nothing to do with a camera. Camera Options are not shown or grey.

    +++

    So I installed the center of update of Active hoping for luck. Three restarts and a few software updates later everything remains the same: "no-camera USB found. Please plug it properly. "

    +++

    Is it possible to get the camera to work? I don't want to get a one extern...

    Maybe you have an idea? I have some ideas to the left...

    Thank you and good weekend!

    Your Florian.

    Hi Florian.

    According to the description of the product:

    There should be a camera.

    Edit: Go into the bios, under Security-> Port i/o settings, you can check the status of the camera enabled/disabled
